Thanks so much for this video as I now know exactly why I currently have a bunion and it's actually an easyish fix but I've just been living with the issue...that issue is that I've had a painful wart on the other side of my foot for years and I now know on account of your video that the reason I have developed a bunion on just one foot is this wart...so I plan to now prioritize that fix. Thanks again take care!

Thanks doctor for the information. I have bunions, but have under pronation. Do these exercises work with high arches?

I jammed my R big toe several years ago going from a headstand to chaturanga and the yoga class and my big toe has never been the same. It has limited range of motion and dorsiflexion, and the metatarsal head seems to have thickened a bit. It feels like my big toe is a little jammed, and shortened and does not have full range of motion out to the side inside edge of my foot. I have been doing exercises similar to what you’re showing, but is it typically possible to get full range of motion back again?

Thanks doc, can it be hereditary? My grandma and mom have it so I’m worried. Also what age do they normally appear?
@RehabRevive Жыл бұрын
So yes, we have noticed that bunions can appear to be hereditary. But we've noticed this might be largely due to nurture rather than nature. We use our parents as a model when we learn to walk. We find that kids often walk similarly to their parents. Because of this, children can pick up on bad gait patterns that may later lead to things like flat feet or bunions. So if you think you might be at risk of developing bunions, get your gait checked out by a physical therapist and see if there are ways you can walk more efficiently or exercises you can do to help prevent this from happening! Hope this answers your question!
