I did this workout for the first time after taking a 1 month break from working out. My legs were shaking really bad ever since the first circuit. But the endorphin rush afterwards was worth it. And this is why I keep coming back for her workouts. Joanna turned me into a masochist 😂

I understand that it can be repetitive, but honestly to see results, for your muscle to engage and remember the movements, it’s actually important to repeat the movements and even workouts. That’s also for you to see how much you’ve progress. Constantly changing exercises or workouts is not the best method.

I've been finding a beginner friendly workout here on KZbin since the beginning of this year and none of them seems to be "begginer" as I thought. Her exercises, however, do do beginner friendly ones that an actual beginner can do. I love this so far. @@sowmyasamyuktha8839 Well the time period changes from person to person. First I cut all sugary intake and first month I tried getting used to body movements. I started out with Joanna's 10000 step workout. Then in first month by cutting down carbs, somedays ate no carb, i lost 10kg in 1 month. But that is just until I got used to exercising regularly, then I started doing different workouts of hers, 30 to 45 min per day cardio and strength alternatively (1st day cardio, 2nd day strength training then resting) then I'll hit a plateau where u don't lose weight at all. Dnt give up, after 3 or 4 weeks it starts going down at a Normal rate. Do the research for urself. Then you'll know what and how are the best way to lose Ur weight

Just want to say that you're amazing and one of the best health and fitness youtubers I'm following. I've finished some of your challenges starting last year as an alternative as I can't go to gym anymore. Started at almost 100 kgs then working out then pandemic happened and started gaining again. But saw your exercises at that point- 74 kgs and now I'm at 57 kgs. Thank you for your workouts and encouraging words!

The problem may be in your food. If your food doesn't contain sugar, rice, and bread, you'll see how much weight you've dropped or lost it's been 4 months that I don't eat any sugar and rice and bread I lose 10 kg in 4 months !!! But with exercise ☺️🌹

OMG Beginner not beginner 5 minute, 10 minute woh any work out of Joanna's is always a killer workout. I was tripping on my sweat😅😅 most of the time. Especially the last plank ,I almost fell flat on my mat 😂😂😂 Goodddddd.....she is the queen of workouts . I hate just abs and arms so I mostly do her lower body or total body workouts.

Hi Joanna! I need a little help with having good form. When doing leg lunges, how far back am I supposed to go? Also, where am I supposed to feel the burn, in the back leg or the front one? I don't think I'm supposed to feel pain in the knees right? Lol! The same goes for when I do curtsy lunges. The inside of my knees hurt, so it would be nice to know proper form for that too. Also, when doing planks/push ups, my wrists hurt a lot when I place them directly under my shoulders, so is it OK to have them a little diagonally, further up? I sometimes do plank workouts with my hands rolled into fists but that also tends to hurt after some time. I'd appreciate your help with this 😁

Still patiently waiting for a no squat no lunge no dumbell High Impact (not low) workout. There’s hardly any workouts that don’t include squats, yet fitness instructors surely know what exercises to replace them with so could post a workout without them for a change. It would help those of us who have recurring knee issues but can still run and/or jump 🤔

Squats do help with knee issues. They are part of most physical therapy programs depending on what the issue is, of course. Strengthening muscles around the joint is always a good idea. That's basically why you don't see a lot of workouts not including those. Jumping on an already injured knee can exacerbate your problem in the long run.

I have knee and back issues. And I've been to 3 rounds of physiotherapy for accidents and flare ups. All physiotherapy exercises involve progressive exercises that lead to squats and modified lunges in order to strengthen the thigh muscles. When our thigh muscles and joints around those areas are stronger, we will experience less knee pain.

If the low impact workouts you’ve been doing feel less effective, you can try adding some light dumbbells to increase the difficulty. A pair of 5 pound dumbbells costs $10 at Walmart!

Joanna ..plz do reply me..I'm an indian..and I follow diet as per my culture..I eat a cup of sprouted green grams in the morning and by afternoon I'll be eating whichever my granny cooks but in little portion..most probably it contains carbs as south indian tend to eat rice everyday..and by evening I'll be drinking black coffee with brown sugar..and by night I'll be eating either steamed rice(idly 3 nos) or pasta per serving..sometimes if I get hungry ill be eating nuts and carrots..this is what my diet is..I'm 20yrs old..my weight is 83.5 kgs..and I'm trying to lose weight..I'll be doing 500 skips everyday..with abs exercise..but now I thought of doing only this workout on monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Friday..by Wednesday and Saturday I saw ur strength training workout with dumbbells..so I thought of doing that..followed by 500 skips everyday..will this work for me if I continue like this to loose weight..? Or should I make any changes to see results..? Plz reply..I'm in need of help..
