LET'S BE CLEAR: Yoga is not a cure. Yoga is a supplement to a healthy lifestyle. Yes you can get into a fat burning heart rate zone, sweat, strengthen & burn ample calories with power yoga and power vinyasa yoga flows, but if you want to lose weight and practice yoga you must accompany the practice with self-care and healthy habits off the mat. Yoga can be a wonderful practice for de-stressing, connecting mind with body, improving body awareness & learning to love yourself. And guess what? You can love yourself and be a work in progress at the same time! The term "Yoga for weight loss" is a high ranking SEO term, as in it is searched a lot. I use the term to reach a wider audience to help people who are looking for a way to lose excess weight and practice yoga at the same time. I know from personal experience how that feels, as I have lost 40 & 50 lbs from both of my pregnancies and the weight didn't just melt off after. It took at least a year of focused effort, exercise, healthy eating, a mild calorie deficit and this exact type of yoga for me to lose the weight and feel strong and confident in my body. So I created these videos to meet the viewers where they are, help them along in their weight loss journey and hopefully teach them self-love, strength & mindfulness along the way. 💙

I love how everything you say has purpose. Some yoga instructors on youtube talk so much it feels like they're afraid of silence. You only say what is necessary and meaningful, and you value the silence, and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate that.

You know what I love the most about all of your videos? You don't perfectly "hit" the pose everytime, you keep in your errors, the poses you struggle with- you keep it real and authentic. Keep it up!

I'm a yoga teacher. I watch and practice with you to restore my own home practice. Today we flowed through my son's nap! Thanks for this dynamic, challenging practice. Leading us up to full binds and balances was well sequenced. I loved ending with challenging poses, as well as being prompted to follow my own practice during wide leg forward folds. I'd love some ab exercises for both pre and post natal women to use. I'm healing a diastolic and shy away from more extreme ab exercises following the Dia Method of internal crutches. This is my third day in a row completing this flow to the best of my ability and I am again completely soaked from all of these wonderful & challenging poses! 10/4/2022 Had to take a week off for health reasons and boy! I was actually the worse for it. In a week! THank you for the reminder of the hard things yoga pushes us to do. It is achievable- challenging yes, but it is doable. And necessary. Our brain is as big as it is because we were meant to move it in all these unique and challenging ways. No other animal attempts that past childhood. To keep your joints and body young, move and do yoga! thank you so much Sarabeth

I love, love, love doing your yoga videos. They’ve helped immensely with my depression and especially during the last two weeks of my post-Covid recovery. My breathing is nearly back to normal. Keep doing what you are amazing at! Helping people be more centred and softer🙏

I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I wanted to thank you. I had a serious injury a couple years ago and since then I have struggled with being flexible enough to do pretty much any workout without pain. I'm excited to try this because after three months of doing a lot of your flexibility videos I can actually put my whole hand on the floor. This was the marker my physical therapist told me when I would be ready to actually incorporate exercise back into my life. Before this, I was seriously depressed, exercise was my only outlet and when I had to stop it affected me mentally. This is my sincere thanks for putting these videos on the internet because I feel like I'm getting my happy attitude back. Love, Remy

I love how sometimes I am trying a move and I think to myself, "How is this even possible?" That Bond variation of the half moon today was one of them and yet, there you go and do it, so apparently it is possible. What I love about these types of moves, as I am comfortable with the other moves, there is a fun little challenge that I am confident that someday I will accomplish, just as long as I do not take myself too seriously and have fun. Thank-you again for teaching me that there are always things to learn, no matter how old you get. May you always inspire and be inspired, love and be loved and may happiness always flow from your touch, your eyes and your embrace!

Thank you so much for this challenging practice! I have stopped doing any kind of exercise or yoga for a while because of stress and anxiety. It didn't help that in my attempts of getting back to yoga, I'd get frustrated with myself for not being able to do the poses that I used to be able to do without effort. I've slowly found my way back to yoga thanks to your different classes that I could take depending on my mood or time available. I've found myself smiling and laughing today on poses that I could do, modify or not do at all. Thanks again for this wonderful practice. :)

Great morning practice! FYI be super careful in a fully-bounded side angle pose! That’s how I tore my hip labrum and ended up a year on crutches and 2 surgeries!! Just now getting back to my practice!

Thank you for all that you do. I have done a video every day for the last 3 weeks. More 35-60 minute power videos would be awesome. I am looking to build strength, muscle, and flexibility from yoga. I always include one of your videos in my workout routine because they are challenging both mentally and physically. I never thought I'd be able to finish a standing practice. I kept falling out of some of these poses! I was able to hold most of them for at least a few seconds so that's progress! The only one I couldn't really do at all was the one you also fell out of -- thank you for showing even experienced yogis falter sometimes.
