It’s hard for me to watch Nina laughing + crying. I was laughing along with her but was actually feeling suffocated. It’s so painful to hear what Nina has gone though. I admire you guys for being vulnerable in this podcast and am grateful for your willingness to share such difficult stories. Love you guys! ❤️

I was like Nina too, very avoidant and afraid to confront certain issues. It got so bad that even questions that were only a tiny bit personal got me crying - like how Nina did during the podcast. I seriously recommend going for therapy. You can't solve your current emotional issues with the same mind that created it, you have to approach it in a different light, with a different perspective to have a chance at resolving them. I went for hypnotherapy and would recommend it for anxiety issues. I'm much better now. At the very least, I don't cry when asked personal questions now haha

What a wholesome episode 😭 Mad respect to Sylvia and especially Nina for being so vulnerable on camera. Hope we will all be able to own those moments that make us vulnerable and use it to help & inspire others (like the thirsty sisters)🙏

I did the gratitude journal once for an entire year every single day back in 2013. I was struggling with some personal issues and it truly did help to turn my life around. When i started, i wrote quite “general” stuff like what was mentioned by Sylvia but as time went by even the little things i’d notice and write down (E.g. I ate a mango and it was super ripe and sweet, my dog licked my hand today, it was a windy day while walking to school so I didnt sweat) and sure enough it really helped me to notice the little things and made me grateful for what I had :) it took me 2 years but i’m glad im out of that hole.

Really wanted to give a big hug and credit for the strength Nina and Sylvia had answering the questions! Really tough questions and it was really tough to answer. I hope Nina doesn't undermine her own strength, though she mentioned that the comment section would be all about her crying and being hysterical. But I think that anyone who supports them in this channel will definitely not feel this way. 💕 Also, super happy for you two chiobu to be back on TTS! ✨ I have missed the weekly podcast and was wondering where you all went after CB (part 1). Nonetheless, I'm glad you two are back and I hope that you guys can consider making this a permanent thing and not only during the CB! (only if it fits your schedule, please don't overwork yourself ladies!!!) Lots of love! 🙆‍♀️

im nobody to say this but ill still say it cause im so thankful for yall opening this podcast channel!!! i wont assume anything but nina's mum should really be proud of her honestly, the realness and rawness of this entire channel is what helped me through some of the toughest time in my life as well as was the only few things that actually made me laugh genuinely. many times, although we do have close friends n all, for some ppl aka myself too, just find it v hard to burden others with the kind of emotions we are having and basically like sylvia mentioned too... when u havent fully get over smth and want to go over a topic close to ur heart again yet also scared ppl might judge and be like HUH U STILL ON THAT AH so its just really hard lo to explain urself when u dont even fully understand ur own emotions and how to deal w them. with yall doing these podcasts, i felt like i gained a secret friend that i can relate to and find joy with even without speaking w yall f2f so im v v glad yall decided to go on w it😊🤎 jiayous nina and sylvia!!!!

ohmy just finished ur podcast and hahahaha ok answer ur ques!!! yes eh made me feel like i know these 2 ladies way more personally, feels very human lor instead of just watching u guys as influencers. fav ques that teared me up would be the one that if i were to die unknowingly without speaking to anyone by this evening one, because i realised again how impt certain things were to me and how i shld somehow say it when i still have the chance to do so??? HAHA this is p interesting ley but my bf wont wanna do w me one leh sad🤣🤣

On gratitude journaling, I try to push myself each day to see where I am and how I compared to myself yesterday. If there is nothing major that happened in the past few days, I like to get some time be mindful and see what pops in my head. Whether good or bad, you can understand what you are subconsciously worried or happy about. And that might help out with your gratefulness exercise. The key objective of it in my opinion (not psychologist) is to make sure you remember the little things that make you happy. Not to remind you that convenience is a thing haha :)

Did this with my boyfriend. While some of the questions yielded interesting answers, some of them seemed quite irrelevant because we know each other too well already 😅 It didn't really make us fall deeper in love nor did it freak us out, it was kind of just meh...interesting. I think the original intention behind these questions was to get two strangers to open up to each other so that they could immediately feel close due to the vulnerability-the KZbin channel Jubilee has done a lot of videos featuring 2 complete strangers coming together to answer these questions. (e.g. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZa2q3-npt6BndU) I think you made a good point though, especially in Asian culture, we might not be too willing to open up to that extent when it's someone that we just met. Thank you to both of you for sharing so vulnerably! 💖

I could relate to the portions on parents very much. They really affect what type of people we become. Is it okay that I don't have interest in having a conversation with them about how I really feel? Like what Sylvia says it takes two hands to clap, I don't think my parents wanna have this conversation.

to sylvia's story of telling her dad hes a good dad because wanna save his face.. i also had the same thought about my mom for the longest time ever, didnt say anything because i scared she stress, but because of the way im treated and raised, i am almost cold blooded now, and on top of the fact that im a very straightforward person, i recently told her in an argument that "YES you are a BAD mom" i dont care anymore if i hurt her because she already hurt me. i feel like if i wasnt as ruthless as her our rls will never improve and she will always treat me badly & disgustingly. dont even mention abt my dad, my dad regreted having us as family and alr told my mom 25 years ago that he is going to spend all his money before he die and not leave anything for us. to me, im fine with it, its his money his choice. but at the same time it also show me how much he gives a fk abt us.. he also had a mistress for 7 years alr, and i just found out.. again, i dont care, his life his choice his happiness. but why affect ur children/wife,.. why even get blind marriage when u didnt even marry out of love...

Nina I want to apologize to you for thinking you very the kua zhang, and ridiculous with the tearing. The other day I went to ask a female friend 2 of the questions, she already flustered and very uncomfortable. To all the guys out there, those questions have weight. And if the woman don't tear up or get flustered, she is very power.

I just feel like Sylvia could have been more compassionate about Nina's discomfort instead of laughing at her. I guess that's her way of lightening the tension but it is clear that Nina did not have the luxury of expressing her emotions and receiving empathy in return during childhood and being vulnerable was never something on Nina's mind growing up. So please be more mindful of how we react to someone who is going through a hard time answering these questions.
