Question 1: Doctor, is this [test or treatment] really necessary? Question 2: Doctor, what are the risks attached to this? Question 3: Doctor, are there other options? Question 4: And what happens if I don't do anything?

Correctly said! My reports came normal for MRI of brain and CT scan of chest for chest pain but I couldn't ask the doc if it was necessary as I was having problems so I thought I might get to be sure. But we should really ask the doctors the above questions.

I would propose a fifth question, possibly one to be asked before the other four: "Doctor, if you were experiencing the same issue I am and you had unlimited access to treatments, what would *_you_* do?"
