OMG 😳 Vera that was the best workout so far.! I mean I love working the upper body but I need to focus more on the lower body and you did just that. That was freaking awesome 😎 really. I no when I joined your program since this is my first one I wasn’t sure what to expect but you have by far exceeded my expectations I am soooooo glad I found you. We were just discussing how we do not sweat during workouts but today I was drenched and halfway my legs were shaking. I didn't think I was going to make it but wow you keep it moving so well that I didnt even notice the time and then it was burnout time. Love love this program. Way to go!! Will make sure to show a simple modification (you can lay on your side and lift your top leg up, keeping a 90 degree bend). It’s essentially the same, just eliminates the component of getting up 💖

Just done this for the second time, and I think it’s a fantastic sequence of exercises, really well thought out. I get through it, but I find it hard and have to take extra rests. “Spicy” is an understatement. This may have been the sweatiest workout yet. I had to rest a little longer in between a couple of circuits, but I made it through, and WOW my legs are burning 🥵🔥. Thank you 🙏🏼

So glad you enjoyed the workout. Due to time constraints that in the video, but I often post videos on my socials explaining the differences between exercises that may seem similar. Due to the different grip and weight position, muscles are activated somewhat differently.

Vera, I am loving your workouts! My 3 year old tries to do them with me 🙂 Thank you so much for all of your time and dedication. It truly is appreciated! I struggled with the squats using the step. Just couldn't seem to get in a stable position and my toes kept cramping up! Any suggestions?

Hi Kelly! So happy to hear that! And so glad you get to do it together! Just to confirm - you mean the squats where your heels are elevated, correct? A common issue is dehydration. Another could be caused by your shoes (although possible to get cramps barefoot too). Do you wear tight fitting shoes? When you get a toe cramp, I’d recommend taking your shoes off right away and doing some stretches. Thank you for responding! I'm sorry for not clarifying but it is the split squat exercise. I drink 3 40ml bottles of water a day so I stay pretty hydrated. I work out barefoot. I will look at the article. Thank you for being so helpful!

The workout was great and my legs were on fire! I have knee issues, so the squats and lunges can sometimes be difficult for me. Do you have alternatives for squats and lunges?

So glad you enjoyed it! Just go down only as far as your range of motion safely allows. Of course, if you have a prior injury or surgery, you should always check with your doctor. You can use a chair or bench for all your squats as a bit of support (think of it as sitting in a chair - it’s no different). For lunges, I know a lot of people hold onto something like a chair or a wall for a bit of extra support - and again, you don’t have to go deep! Thank you Vera, I was hugely stressed this morning and was not going to complete this workout and mind was saying don't bother. But I thought sod it, picked myself up and completed it, I am so glad I did. Great format and combination of exercises. I used 12.5kg dumbbell each throughout, could have possibly gone heavier, for the staggered squat used 20kg sandbag. Loved the booty band burnout at the end. Used Yoga block too. One thing I did want to ask is there any rest days/active rest days in the program or are you exercising everyday? I suppose everyone will try to stick to the plan depending on daily life.

So glad you got it done!! You’ll never regret doing a workout!! Yes! Rest days are provided on The full workout calendar (you’d have to scroll back to March in my community tab). It’s also pinned to the top of our Facebook group. But easy way to remember is that there is always a rest day before and a rest day after each of the dumbbell full body days (workouts that end in a number -1 or a -6). That’s what I’d recommend to make sure you’re not overtraining and that your muscles are getting proper rest 💕

It’s much better to take rest days! Your body needs it - it’s hard to progress workout giving your body time to recover. I know it’s hard to do, but it’ll be better in the long run 🥰🥰

Hi!! I would recommend you give some of my warmups and my 10 minute workouts, as well as the resistance band workouts, a try to get a feel for the exercises. While I don’t have a beginner specific series, my workouts are generally acceptable for all levels. I try not to over-complicate any exercises and stick to the basics. It’s always very important to keep your core engaged throughout each workout and maintain a neutral back - those are key in helping you avoid injury. For all standing upper body work, I recommend maintaining a slight bend in your knees. I always try to provide tips in each caption 💖
