Some really interesting and unique sequences that I really enjoyed,I do yoga every day and this was a really good challenge to be present and understanding of my movements. Really well taught, a great awakening for the body, I will do it again :)

I usually enjoy more of a creative flow, but I appreciate very much this straight-forward vinyasa class and clear instruction. Lots of great balancing. Fun hops and flying crow to chaturanga. Great to have demonstration with modification for newer practitioners. I teach more fluid, but need to learn to teach this style of power yoga so will be coming back to this class for ideas/direction. Thank you. Namaste.

lululemon I started watching Ali Kamenova who does a lot of interesting flows, and have been to a number of studios where instructors make unusual but very smooth transitions from one Asana to the next. The repertoire of asanas to choose from is so vast! Putting them together in an unexpected but smooth and fluid manner is what I enjoy the most.

Doing this, I was glad to have been practising for a long time and to be familiar with the poses as I found the instruction and the cues to be very sloppy and unclear. Anyone modifying would really have to keep an eye on the video at all times as modifications are offered visually and only rarely, verbally. I'd be curious to experience one of Baron's classes when he is not instructing the specific practitioners with him but can offer more focus to those at home. All that being said, it was a good flow.

Like other comments said, not for beginners but I did love the challenge! There was a few points where I felt like I didn't have time to breath through my vinyassa, and I consider myself to breath/move pretty quickly. I also would have liked more time to set an intention, felt a bit more like a workout than a spiritual practice. But still a fun challenge.

I had to turn it off after just 10 minutes. His tone was so mechanical and the flow too fast. In the time it took me to understand his instructions, they had already moved to the next pose. I don't know if I would even call this a flow, it felt more like a series of poses one after the other.

I don’t mind how fast this class is, since that seems to be the basis of Baptiste yoga from the other classes I’ve taken through the years. But I found his instruction sloppy, and his pacing was off. Your practice is perfect as it is. Rapid fire pace is two things: overrated and not particularly useful. Cheers!
@makrenee4 жыл бұрын
I actually felt the same way and I’ve been practicing yoga for 13 years and I’m a professional circus artist, so it’s not the athleticism factor holding me back. But what I’ve learned over many years is that part of the practice of yoga is knowing what works for you, based on your physical and mental needs. Some people might need more fire because yoga is an energizing practice for them. Some, probably like you and I, need more slowness because yoga is a meditative and healing practice and we get our fire elsewhere. Not every teacher is for every practitioner. 🙂

Hey Najaf, I hear you-a 45-minute power yoga session is definitely a challenge. One of the things that I love about yoga is that you're able to take it at your own pace and modify it depending on what your body needs. Did not enjoy the class. When teachers dont do the class they miss the reality, the transitions and the results on the student. Couldn't finish the class. Also, put some more energy to your voice. Make us feel empowered. Breath are also a good reminder as we flow. Give people more cues on the movements and not just say the names of the poses. For me that is lazy yoga. Every day a new opportunity for improvement.
