Science-backed methods how to lower: 1) Blood pressure. 2) Heart rate. NATURALLY. Most users achieve at least 5 points improvement in Systolic BP and lower heart rate by at least 5 BPMs.
This exercises was developed by Dr. Weil. It is a part of breathing to lower blood pressure. Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds. With calming music and guiding sounds you can do this breathing exercise with your eyes closed. This exercise for high blood pressure was originally suggested by Dr Andrew Weil. This exercise to lower blood pressure helps with high blood pressure control. It helps to lower blood pressure now fast. This deep breathing exercise is more advanced than simple breathing exercise with equal cycles for inhale/exhale. This exercise is complementary to yoga and meditation for high blood pressure. It helps to fall asleep faster and may be complemented by music to lower blood pressure.
As someone who has suffered from hypertension, I found this simple exercise to work very well to lower blood pressure naturally. Sit comfortably in your chair with a straight back, relax and follow inhale/hold/exhale on screen instructions for 3 min. Please let me know in the comments field how you feel after the exercise.

Idk if it was a fluke or not but my blood pressure has been getting really high, like 150/117 according to an at home monitor. It’s accompanied with headache, feeling hot, brain fog, and dizziness. Last night was really bad. I did two sets of this breathing exercise and I felt all the symptoms fade away. Like I said, it may just be a fluke. But I’m going to try it again today. I’ll update with results.

Hi Mika, glad this exercise helped! Based on the feedback of other users I am pretty sure that you will see a long term positive effect if you keep doing this and other slow breathing exercises several times per day. Based on the experience of other users and also on my experience, a positive long term effect will be even better if you add other positive life style changes, i.e. light aerobic exercise (brisk walking or jogging, cycling, etc) and low carbohydrate nutrition. Please check videos on these topics on my channel and let me know if they helped. Have a wonderful day!

I’ve been doing this breathing exercise for a number of weeks now. I do 478 for the three minutes and then take my blood pressure. I do the same thing in the evening. I login my reading twice a day. I’m becoming concerned now because it’s nearly always normal. However if I skip the breathing exercise, my blood pressure is much much higher. So my concern is that it is only a short, temporary lowering of my blood pressure. Which means it’s probably high all the time except three minutes before I take a reading twice a day.
@BreathNow_app

Thanks for your feedback. Usually breathing exercises produce short term positive effect. For long term effect you need to complement breathing with moderate aerobic exercises (brisk walking, jogging, etc), as explained in other videos on our channel

Does this exercise lower blood pressure right away or do I have to wait till it drops? And how long does the effect last? Thank you.
@BreathNow_app
@BreathNow_app 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, usually blood pressure drops right after the exercise. If you do this exercise just once the effect will not last long. if your high blood pressure is driven primarily by anxiety you need to repeat breathing and other calming exercises (i.e. acupressure, meditation etc) several times daily. Gradually it will help to lower blood pressure permanently. Have a wonderful day!

I have been stressed up of late and my body responded with this high BP of sometimes 149/103. I tried the technique the other day and was surprised at how my Systolic dropped from 149 to 140 and DBP from 103 to 90. My question is how many times can you do the exercise to have a total drop to normal values and how effective is the technique in maintaining normal BP values and reducing signs like this dull headaches

Ok. Im sold. I woke up an my bo was super high 180/115. Ridiculous. Dropped it down to 140/94 after 3 minutes. Just got diagnosed with instructive sleep apnea. Weight loss is required but fat doesn't fall off overnight so I need something to help manage.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. These are the kind of words which keep me motivated to create more useful content! You may consider trying meditation and acupressure videos on my channel which help to lower blood pressure short term. You may also try videos with physical exercises which help to lower blood pressure long term. They also help with managing weight. Would love to hear you feedback about them! Have a wonderful day!

Hi, thanks for your feedback! You are bringing up an excellent point! Some variation in these popular slow breathing exercises produce incremental positive impact for people. It is always a good idea to check different timing of inhales, exhales and holds and see what combination works best for you

[ ] Does the HOLDING of breath TAX your Pulse (bpm) or NIX the Blood Pressure DROP ?
@BreathNow_app
@BreathNow_app 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, thanks for your question. Most people will experience gradual slow down in heart rate and slight increase in blood pressure when holding breath for 20+ seconds. This exercise however requires to hold breath only for 7 seconds and it trains your brain and parasympathetic nervous system to relax and dilate blood vessels, which leads to lower blood pressure and usually some reduction in heart rate. Hope this helps.

Based on my personal experience and experience of some of the viewers doing just few cycles at a time usually produces little effect. Stay focussed with this breathing for at least few minutes usually produces higher positive impact. Question to all viewers: how many cycles/minutes of this breathing works best for you?

Hi Michael, thanks for your question. You may be right here. I do not have any hard evidence either way and I have not seen any solid research on this topic. If you have seen any research on this please share a link here. Based on my personal experience it doesn't really matter whether you exhale through the nose or through the mouth. Inhaling through the nose is definitely better and there is solid research data on this. Best regards. Dmitri
