I never noticed it until just now, but you can really see how innocent Miklo was in the beginning of the movie, always smiling, but toward the end, he always had a more sinister and emotionless face.

Rewatching this made me realize just how great this movie is. From the acting, the dialogue, the story, everything. This movie doesn’t get its due. But it may be my favorite movie of all time. Every act is just great. I believe every one of these actors.

@@mbdulka I’m of course biased because while I’m white, I grew up in and around Mexican families. So naturally I pretended I was Mexican for a few years back in the day lol. And of course there were gangs in the part of Chicago that I grew up in. Mexican gangs. So it all lined up perfectly. Aside from some of the random corny lines in the movie, everything else is just chefs kiss perfect. Love watching it. And luckily, KZbin seems to basically have the entire movie for free broken up into like 20 videos. So I just click on random sections from time to time.

Mano was the true OG in this movie. Chicano who most likely grew up in the same environment, joined the corps, and made something out of himself in the same hood he grew up in. Glad Paco came out like him after Miklos accident

Well if you live in LA, even though Peruvian, it`s obvious you would blend in with the dominant culture. Peruvians also share common things with the rest of Latin Americans. We are all brothers.

Rewatching this you can notice ALOT that you missed the first time seeing it, you learn the dads name “Mano” and realized that Paco and Cruz are step brothers and another small thing is the garage they’re at looks a lot like the one you see in gta San Andreas when learning to shoot a gun. Damn I gotta revisit some of these scenes.

Always thought Popocatepetl meant smoking mountain in Aztec culture for that volcano in Puebla. I grew up in Mexico City, I remember always seeing the volcano from diferente parts of the district. Unless I'm missing something cruz is right lol

@@STEALTH1USA Popocatepetl is definetly a volcano in Mexico, but there is a story behind the volcano. Its alot to write down but the story is called “Popocatepetl y Iztaccihuatl”. It kinda describes how the volcanoes came to be. There is a famous painting and thats what Cruz is painting here.
