Garp seems to have chased roger for a long time 30+ years we see a young garp as marine and roger started young as well, similar to smoker luffy, smoker could have killed luffy 3 time in lougetown, alabasta, marineford,.I think the gap was not as bIg as eitl luffy smoker now, but i think roger was definatly stronger than both sengoku and garp. i feel garp was on prime Rayleigh lvl, could give prime roger a good fight but NEVER defeat him. ps. The vivre cards say that bot Shanks and Rayliegh have mastered all 3 types of haki. I find it hard to argue that someone can be said to have "mastered" something without being able to use the advanced version of it. So I'd say its pretty much confirmed that Ray has it.

It seems to me that swordsmen as a little martial subculture have their own, somewhat ritualized, separate training path that takes them through the process of learning haki. Zoro's teacher was basically giving him haki training wheels and then Zoro and Luffy went on parallel paths of developing their haki in their own ways up until they ultimately unlocked advanced conqueror's almost simultaneously- Luffy learned it like a kung fu movie, slowly working on harnessing his ki, Zoro learned it by immersing himself in the cult of the sword, almost like the swords themselves were his masters teaching him how to harness his haki using the lessons he learned from Koshiro. Very cool parallel between the two of them.

I wonder how adv armament/conqueror would work on a range user. We've seen the Amazons utilize armament with a bow and arrow, but imagine how powerful someone would be if they apply the same principles with rifles. One pistol shot could literally be a nuke if given to a really strong conq user. Future sight + Adv Conq + Range is literally an endgame boss when you consider Van Augur can shoot and hit beyond the curvature of the globe. Though, I would think they'd drain their haki fast since they would have to apply their haki on every single bullet, so that's one way to balance it out.

Garp needs it. He doesn't have a hax DF and as far as we know his fight style is all based around fist fighting, he wouldn't be considered a equal or comparable to Roger and Whitebeard without it. The only way that I see Oda writing him without it, is if he has a Armament that is so overwhealming that it suparses Conqueor coating

I agree with you to an extent. However I think king of lightning is right about this one, he makes an argument for their being more levels to conquers haki coating, and armament haki. He points to Yamato not being able to break her cuffs to show she doesn’t have the most advanced armament haki, so this means being able to coat a club, sword, or being to push things with armament haki is the second level of armament haki were being able to penetrate something, and destroy it from the inside is the third level. This transfers directly over to conquers haki, so being able to coat a sword, club ect with conquers haki is the second level were being able to penetrate and destroy from the inside is the third. By this understanding then garp, zoro, Yamato have the second level of conquers coating were they can coat their weapon, or fists, and attack with conquers haki, but they can’t penetrate things with conquers haki, and destroy from the inside. This would make a ton of sense, because it would show how zoro, Yamato ect, picked up conquers coating so easily, because they have trained to coat weapons with armament haki. This would also explain the splitting of the skies between some of the powerful people, because these would be the few who have the third level of conquers haki. As a note I’ll point out ryuu is just what people in wano call haki, like sky people call observation haki mantra.

The admirals are clearly experts in advanced armament. So that means that the ones who HAVE conquerors, HAVE advanced conquerors too, due to how it works. Sengoku having it is the hint that we need to know they probably do have it. Its not logical to me to say they dont have it cause they are not aiming for the top like pirates. First of all we know Katakuri has it and he is no captain, you dont need to be the leader of your team to have conquerors. And secondly, being an admiral itself is being at the top of the world, it doesnt matter if you dont want to find the one piece, you do not REACH the position of admiral without aiming for the top. There are admirals that may not have it like Kizaru, but thats a claim coming from us not knowing him or his motives at all yet. I dont see how Akainu wouldnt have conquerors he has CLEARLY WAY MORE will power than Sengoku. And again, since Katakuri has it i dont see why the rest of the admirals wouldnt. Look at Fujitora and his unbreakable will of taking down the warlords and changing the world. I think a sleeper pick that could also be thrown into the ring is Koby. While yes, he's nowhere near the level of anybody mentioned currently, we have seen that he has the ambition to rise up, which is only spurred even further by Luffy himself. Because of his personal goal to become a great marine admiral, I don't think it's such a stretch to say that he has the will of a king, albeit not as straightforward as others. Which is why he probably has a latent form of it I think. In addition, the fact that he's been trained by Garp and is a current member of SWORD, it'd be very believable for him to learn ryou if he doesn't know it currently.

I agree about koby but I feel like its not directly about his ambition to rise up. I think his ambition at the core is the same as luffy's. They both want to become strong enough to protect the people they care about. For luffy becoming pirate king is a means to that end. And similarly for koby becoming admiral is a means to that end. I think Roger would have the craziest in the verse since he's the pirate King and goes against whitebeard who has one of the strongest dfs in the verse. I assume Roger is stronger than garp from portrayal and the fact that garp never captured him until he turned himself in while he was dying of a disease. in early rooftop chapter we got to see the people who can damage kaidou, they were shanks, xebec, whitebeard, roger, and bigmom, so I think these all are users of advanced coc, and we know that shanks and mihawks duels were legendary and almost equal in strength, so it's likely that mihawk too is an advanced coc user. so the advanced coc users list in alphabetical order is as follows: bigmom kaidou luffy mihawk oden roger shanks whitebeard xebec yamato zoro

I really like Kid, he was my favorite among those that were introduced on Sabaody. It took years to finally see him again and its nice to finally see him in action. I like the way he fights and to see someone relying solely on DF. However, it is hard to imagine him hurting Yonkos with scraps without some form of advanced haki. Still hoping for the best though but like Morj said, it may seem like quite a leap from the feats he has shown so far.

Agree with everything (except Ulti and Luffy crashing evenly). I think of the admirals Aikanu would be the only one with a will strong enough to became a "king". Aokiji and Kizaru are too "chill" in my opnion. Probably that was the tie breaker in the Aikanu x Aokijii fight. Aikanu simply wanted more to be a king than his opponent and awaken conquerous during the fight and tip the balance.

Just a random thought. I think it would be especially badass if Mihawk doesn't have conquerors at all. Imagine if he rose to the pinnacle of swordsmanship using pure skill and finesse alone. Would be an insane realization moment for Zoro as well. Think about it, Mihawk is always bored and doesn't really cherish his top position in the world. Maybe he never had the drive to become the strongest but just ended up there. Maybe he could awaken conquerors during the fight against Zoro once he realizes that he actually enjoys being on top and would not want to give up that spot to Zoro.

I still think Rayleigh is able to use advanced conquerors because we saw him use it on Marco it could be ryo but he wasn’t touching Marco and I think he might have used it on the elephant when teaching luffy haki. There’s lowkey signs he did. Plus we saw whitebeard do incredible feats sick and old and Rayleigh isn’t on the same level but I do know they’re in the same bracket cause Rayleigh is the right hand of roger and I think it’s fair to say Rayleigh might have been on par with roger and his parallel. I genuinely feel like Hancock should have it. I know there's differences in "talent", and luffy is like the embodiment of the concept with how quickly he learned to use conquers coating in such an effective way. However, it seemed like Hancock's people uses ryuou (advanced armament), so it makes sense that she does, and if she's had both conquers and advanced armament for a long time, I think it's natural for her to have conquers coating, especially when luffy learned it through the experience of acquiring ryuou. It almost to me feels like a slap in the face if she doesn't; or a conscious decision for her to not have it despite their being a clearer path than most.

Since it is confirmed that Yamato cannot use advanced armament haki level 2 where you damage things from the inside, it is not the case that you must know this haki in order to use advanced armament. It also doesn't really fit with kaido or big mom's character to know this type of haki. However, advanced armament 1 which creates an invisible suit of armor outside the effected area may be a prerequisite for advanced conqueror's.

You dont need Ryo to use advanced conquerors haki, Kaido and Yamato showed it with Thunder Bagua and Kaido showed it again with Ragnaraku. You just gotta be able to coat your attacks with conquerors haki. Also I wouldn't be surprised if every top tiers have advanced conquerors haki.

Luffy and Zoro both showed the same way which is emission/first stage of Ryou. Yamato and Kaido could just have it as Sentomaru and Admirals had it so it makes sense if Kaido does.

Exactly,advanced armament is ryuo and it’s separate from advanced conquerors and a lot of people are confused. Yamato,kaido big mom and zoro don’t have ryuo🤔 the samurai have ryuo but they don’t have conqueror’s. Luffy has been using both applications since 1010. Kaido zoro and Yamato were all shocked respectively when the saw luffy’s ryuo so I doubt they had it.

Luffy and Rayleigh r the only characters shown to use internal destruction which is why everyone was shocked by his red rock attack. They have the emission kind which is what’s important for learning conq coating.

If you look at Akainu fighting the Gorosei but eventually bending to their will, but then you look at Sengoku who goes against marine code by handing over ace and whitebeard to Shanks, and sengoku not capturing law, he tends to stick to his sense of justice more than akainu who is bending to the Gorosei. just some speculation idk

Nah, Sengoku is no different from Akainu. Sengoku ordered the attack on Ohara despite him knowing how wrong it is and when Saul questioned it he said that he should just follow his orders.

Shanks is a Yonko and he's tight with the Gorosei, that's probably why Sengoku was so willing to give Ace and WB to him. And regarding a strong sense of justice, does that mean that Aokiji would be a conqueror too? Coby? Smoker? Fujitora? I think there's more to conqueror's than will given the fact that people like Hancock, Don Chinjao and even Ace have it and, while they do have strong wills, they don't have TAKEOVER THE FUCKING WORLD kind of wills. advanced conquers haki has to be the worst type of haki put into the story. Once you know that, it makes ryou completely irrelevant in a fight. It's kind of like how once Goku has super sayain 3, all the other forms become useless. I believe that it destroys the balance of power between the other 2 types of haki. It's to the point that if a character doesn't have it, by default there is no way they are making it into the top 5 strongest, let alone the pirate king even if they have a broken devil fruit. People talk about how Garp doesn't have advanced conquers, but with how linear the power system is right now, it makes no sense how he is competing with Sengoku who probably has it along with broken devil fruit. From what i have seen so far the only way how the power system can become balanced is if there is a more advanced form of armament or at least a unique way to apply it in a fight that you cant do with advanced conquers

Personally, I think advanced conquerors is a supplementary technique. Concquerors haki can be coated **with** advanced arnament haki but not by itself. All the panels that show characters coating also show black shading which is arnament haki. So many people misunderstand how advanced conquerors works. Essentially, you use it in conjuction with arnmanet.
