I feel many of us leave home with limited cooking skills. I was watching you and realised, a perfect wedding gift would be a Freezer Meal 101 Club membership. The newly weds could spend quality time selecting recipes, shopping, prepping and making the freezer meals. Then either one could select and cook the meal on the day.

Hi from wintery Tasmania, Australia 🇦🇺 Ladies! Just wanted to thank you 🙏 as you have been my teachers on freezer meals the past few months. I make freezer meals for my adult son who is single and a care worker and quite often has 24 shifts. He can cook but no longer has the time or energy. He says the freezer meals he can bake, skillet or microwave have literally saved his life!! So a HUGE thank you from both of us ❤❤ he’ll like these sir fry ones 😀🐨

Oh that is so wonderful to hear! I'm so glad freezer meals have helped him. And hooray for Tasmania! Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment 💕

Thanks so much for letting us know! Please accept our condolences for the loss of your husband. We have a lot of people follow us in the same position and after awhile they transition to making more individual servings. I hope the Club can still meet your needs that way. ♥️♥️

LADIES! I had an idea just now! You two should do a quesadilla video! Similar to the one that is all sliders of different varieties, but quesadillas! You have multiple recipes already, but you could put them together with a new one or two in a video of its own! Now I’m curious about all the quesadilla combinations that could work!

I am on my 4th time through the little house series. This time, I'm reading it to my grandsons for homeschooling. I also use mainly audio books due to arthritis in my hands. I'm listening to a new to me author, and so far, her books are definitely young adult, but it's still a really enjoyable listen. The first series is called "The Vampire Wish" by Michelle Madow. My all time favorite book is "Johnathan Livingston Seagull" I don't know the author's name but I started listening to it as a bedtime story my mom read to me. I love hearing about books so y'all's mini book club is great...I already bought "The phone book at the end of the world" on audible just from your recommendation 😊. I also have all of the J.D. Rob books along with a whole bunch of romance. I also listen to a lot of historical romance and true history books. To say the least I have a wise range of book interests but I can't really get into any of Stephen King books mainly because I'm a scardy cat at heart lol. I ❤️ your videos and the club but then that goes along with my rather large cookbook collection and the fact that I just really love cooking! Thank you for all that you do for us and "happy cooking"
@FreezerMeals1015 ай бұрын
Aw thanks so much! That is a very wide range of books! I (Christie) just put a hold on Jonathan Livingston Seagull a few weeks ago because I've heard about it over the years and never read it. Maybe this summer I'll get to it. If you wanted to try a Stephen King book that isn't a horror, try 11/22/63. It's about a man who goes back in time to try prevent the assassination of President Kennedy. Wonderful book. Happy cooking and happy reading!

Loved your book section, I'll hopefully give you a laugh [this story dates from the 1980's], my Mum was disparaging romance novels to one of my sisters [quote... 'they're brain rot books!'], I walked in at the end of it and she said 'what do you think about these soft porn books?'.... my answer, ... [oh Ma you walked right into that one lol] 'Ma, you get some great hints! ' - sisters fell about laughing, disparaging remarks stopped :) We are a family of book lovers - though our tastes differ lol as a side note I love your freezer meals ... yum :) .... btw this is the Ma who 'volunteered' my typing skills to one of her friends to type up their thesis on The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky! ... my 16 year old snooze fest! - toughest typing I've ever had to do lolololol
@FreezerMeals1015 ай бұрын
That would be a typing CHORE! That bit with your mom and sister was hilarious. I don't care what my kids read, as long as they're reading. I was reading Stephen King when I was waaaay too young, but he definitely made a contstant reader of me!

I love "The Book Club". I need to join one in my area. I'm a picky reader. If I don't get into it in the first chapter, I loose interest. I like 1860s westerns and live books. I read The Hiding Place years ago. I need to read that again.
@FreezerMeals1015 ай бұрын
The Hiding Place was SUCH an interesting book! We like our book club chats too. I'm picky about the books I read except for book club books. If the book has been chosen, of course I'll finish it, even if it's a slog. But like you, if it's not grabbing me, I'll ditch it for something more interesting.
@tizmehere4925 ай бұрын
If you have a number of bags for a particular recipe you can put all the bags into a 1.5 or 2 gal plastic bag. I even put 2 identical recipes that did not result in very large bags into one larger bag. I guess I have an odd affinity for bags. 😊
@FreezerMeals1015 ай бұрын

Does it matter when you're going to use it depend on weather you should blanch it?
@FreezerMeals1015 ай бұрын
There are a few thoughts behind this. The time doesn't matter so much as the purpose, IMO. When we are making a freezer meal with other ingredients, plus a sauce, we don't blanch. Partly because they seem to do better when there is a sauce and partly because we make so many meals, we don't have time to blanch anything. If I was harvesting my garden and planning to freeze the veggies, I would totally blanch them. If you want to blanch them, by all means, go ahead!
