I have no clue how people do this! It’s amazing, I struggle to run 1.5miles in 15 mins😔 running has never been my strong suit but I love the videos and inspires me to carry on!🔥❤️

While we are going into summer here in the Southern Hemisphere, I personally took a lot out of this in the "keep doing what you don't want to do" mentality to lead to some life gains. Thanks Fergus.

Amazing shots, perfect music, the best Wintering Episode so far! Edit: I'm training for a general base fitness this winter. Regular long swimming sessions, a few runs but not that many and stength at end-ranges to get better mobility and flexibility.

Great video as always mate, love the content, Idea for a video… how you deal with the Dom’s / fatigue in your legs a few days after a long run but needing to squat early in the week? 50k Saturday, can’t imagine squatting on Monday would be to much fun 😅😎

Great channel. I too have decided to mix weights and endurance training. I enjoy both so why not. I'm still going strong at 48.
@peterbirds63973 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t agree more with the endurance element! When I played other sports the thought of going for a run longer than a mile was something I couldn’t imagine nor see the point! The running / hiking I do on a weekend makes me such a better person and driven during the week. Also at the age of 37 my first marathon is in April...2 years after going for a run I couldn’t finish a kilometre with my daughter!

Great video Fegus, I totally agree with you that endurance training provides a opportunity to do some reflective thinking and learn a little more about your inner-self. I ran 46KM in 5:50 during June, but it took me an hour to recover from leg cramps. Where as you still looked very fresh after your 50Km.

Brilliant Content 👍 Well Done Fergus 👏 I am so inspired. I am in base periodization which is less about timings , form or PBs. It's just brutal! I am 43 and last Christmas 🌲 I was pushing on 14 stone of fat. My training is over six days because I am dad so I have to be cunning with my time. Monday weighted vest run and some light all over strength training. Tuesday run to work 11k, Pull session and another 11k to get home. Wednesday Leg Day with some days doing swimming. Thursday 11k to work , push Session and 11k back home. Friday Weighted vest run or rest depending on fatigueness. Saturday long run 1 hour 30 minutes. Sunday Rest Day yoga

Endurance running save my life . I was going to do something very silly one day . Had made my mind up ( one of the very many times) And I didn’t because I’d a run planned with a good friend. He came to my house seen the state I was in and the recovery started from there.

Eat back 90% of the calories, and go again. This wasn’t an ‘event’ of any sorts, simple a training run - but my volume next week across disciplines accounts for the work being done on my feet at weekends at the moment!

Altra Torins here my man. This was a thermal base layer, albeit a thin one, and very rarely wear thermal pants unless I'm hiking/moving really slowly.
