5 Minute Therapy Tips - Episode 01: Anxiety

The Milton H. Erickson Foundation

Күн бұрын

In the assessment of anxiety, we can be thinking about "how is this person anxiety-ing?" How is this person "doing" anxiety? For the patient, it feels as if the anxiety descends upon them. But there is some process, perhaps outside of consciousness, that is causing the individual to participate in their feelings of anxiety.
We are excited to share with you our new KZbin series which will explore topics such as Client Problems, Professional Issues, Clinical Concerns, and Methodology with new episodes every Friday!

Beautiful way to summarized it! It reminds me of Osho's approach, about embracing your fear and get to know'em. There some techniques, I use with my clients using Mind Therapy Field technique that are really fast and useful, and it's really half way to both approaches, being one, relaxation and becoming the fear in a third person way.

Hi, thank you for this video it really helped me out alot, I"m actually having trouble with living my life and actually going back out there and "figuring" things all out. I'm not sure if it's because of the pandemic but i'll be honest these last (2) years we're really weird and VERY different than normal. I'm trying to put my finger on what exactly it is I feel anxious a lot of the times but I feel it's something more than that. I just turned 27 years old my family and I barely communicate its like everything I've had vanished in a matter of seconds. On the other hand I feel that I'm around people who hurt me, "in-a-way" because i need my family but I also don't want to go back to anything that's hurting me.. Sometimes I watch "HomeAlone" to take my mind off the things I'm mainly concerned about I wish I could be adopted by a family such as the "Mccallesters" anyway at the point I'm just typing to get these thoughts off my mind. I'm sure if you do take the time and read this you, Too can relate. We're all living in a world of uncontrolled emotions and thoughts we'll be ok though, everything will work out just fine. Have a great New Year! be safe! and remember stay away from negative thinking.
