ALDI is amazing. I budget $80 every two weeks for groceries. The food is great. You can get a ton of it. And, I will occasionally have months where I skip a grocery trip because I've still got enough in the fridge. Awesome video, one thing I’ve learned about grocery shopping cheap is less variety in the diet means less money spent. Obviously you have to strike a balance and find a spot that you enjoy, so a cost/variety ratio that works for you. But a low option diet is the cheapest if you don’t mind the lack of choices.

Nice video, love how you guys cover all aspects to fitness, not just focus on the exercising and such but give tips on how to shop as well. I honestly think shopping and portioning out food is the hardest part for me. I am so used to just tossing whatever I find on the stove or whatever when I feel hungry rather than planning out what I eat and how much of it I eat. I am also not that great of a cook, especially when it comes to chicken. I've come to really dislike the stuff because I can't make chicken breasts taste even remotely palatable without somehow adding unnecessary calories or relying on salt for flavoring (the latter I am definitely wary of as I've had hyper tension in the past) Sweet potatoes are thankfully something I've grown up with as they are a bit of a staple when your family is mostly from the southern US. I'm partial to a few sprinklings of cinnamon and nutmeg though on my fries.

13 years of marriage and 5 kids have definitely taught me a lot in terms of shopping. we do our grocery shopping at winco and can feed everyone very well on an average of 65 bucks per week. We only buy chicken when its on sale (typically safeway when they have it on for 1.44 per pound) and we load up...and I mean LOAD up (the chest freezer will be packed). So that cost gets spread over a few months. granted our kids age span is 1-11 but they get what they want and I'm also eating heartily as well. of course we go over that average here and there but more often than not we come in under 70 each week. The store also definitely determines how far your 50 bucks (or whatever amount you pick) will go. loved the video and loving the cutting series!!!!

It makes perfect sense. Have some empathy, RayJ. parking next to someone else = Security. You are guarding THAT side of their car, and they are guarding that side of YOUR car. Against thieves, runaway carts, etc. OCD. People want to be second in line. You took first. They stack up next in line. How human is that? Very. "Having a fat friend in the apocalypse" theory. If I park my Camry next to your Porsche.. which one are they gonna go for? Yours. 'Toker' attitude. Dude.. blend in with the crowd while I roll this fattie up. Yeah, pull in over there with the other 2 cars in the lot.

So I just did an online shop to see how much it would be in NZ for the exact same things in the same quantities that he bought, and it came to $71.51 NZD. Which funnily enough is equal to $47.26 USD. I was expecting it to be much higher to be fair, as I've tried to follow other US recipes and it's ended up costing me way more than the US price even with the exchange rate taken into consideration. So I'm surprised the total cost for all these particular items almost came to his same total of $48.86. $71 is usually more than I can afford to spend on food, but I'm glad I've seen just what you can get for that much. It might come in handy!

One little piece of advice for you Brandon: the shiny part of the tin foil is polished because it's supposed to be the side touching the food while the matt side looks like that because it's unpolished side and it is supposed to no touch the food at all as it may contain little particles of aluminium dust. I hope you find this helpful.

Ha ha @ Upular, don't worry little guy, take it from me, when you get a little bit older you'll start to look at people differently (girls and boys, although probably boys in your case), and you'll start to have these strange feelings, yearnings. Don't worry about it too much, it's perfectly natural, going to bed with another boy/lots of boys will feel a bit strange at first, but I'm sure you'll come to love it. And it'll probably bring you and dad closer together too.
