Ma'am, raw cruciferous vegetables should be avoided. Cooking cruciferous vegetables lessens their goitrogenic properties, so cooked cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli will not cause any problem for people under thyroid treatment. And eating one sweet potato (around 50gms) daily is very healthy and will not cause weight gain.

Our body cells have mass index memory. That is it always analyse our body weight. If u reduce weight suddenly,cells will start to work to revert to old previous weight. So the method is reduce weight 1 kg,maintain that weight for 40 to 48 days,cells index will record this weight ,it won’t work to previous weight. Then reduce next 1 kg. Maintain for 40 to 48 days. Even this is long process ,result will be ultimate.
