I know that I have to brake off our relationship, I realized that I have talk to him, I realized that I can't do it by phone I have to do it face to face, and really tell him off, am willing to do this in front of all my friends at work.
@alexisshaw36343 жыл бұрын
My guy did that hot and cold behavior for the fist year we were together. I started seeing someone else and just kept our relationship casual until I had enough and told him I was leaving. He came back begging and gave me a promise ring. It's been 6 months since then and we are going strong...no more hot and cold. The moral of the story is if your intuition is telling you that you have something special with someone hold on loosely (like the song says). Don't cling. Have a back up plan. Be ready to walk away and mean it. My man finally came around and realized he didn't want to lose me. And I finally realized I had to quit being clingy and let him come to me. I live my life for me now and I don't rush things and I don't let him rush things either. I tell him all the time "lets just simmer". I am so glad I didn't give up! Never met a man more perfect for me!

My hot and cold guy for two years had an avoidant attachment style, which I thought I could accept because of his good qualities that I loved. It caused me too much anxiety and we called it quits in December. I attracted a great guy a few weeks ago and the extreme contrast has made me aware of what I truly deserve and need in a healthy relationship. Even if this one doesn’t last I won’t settle for less again.

It can hurt a lot when a man doesn’t return your feelings, but still enjoys the benefit of your companionship and time.( coking cleaning etc) That does not necessarily mean sexual aspects. If you are in later years, it’s rough to realize the man doesn’t want a romantic relationship. Takes strong self care to get rid of them.

We got back again and apparently broke up after another two weeks. I was different, not being the previous female who would kneel down for him. Then after 3 weeks of alone time, to assess my feelings and just casually meeting new people through tinder. I met someone. Someone who is totally different, who is madly in love with me, respects me and straight forward is making actions to make me his wife. I love you at 4 weeks is a red flag in my book. Beware of men trying to shove you into a mold they've been waiting to fill. You need to wait for a man willing to see you for you, and not use you as an object to feed his insecurities.
@aBBy-pq4tx3 жыл бұрын
Your own words are speaking to you as your intuition may have picked up on something with your new guy, especially if you’re questioning it. Your intuition is your guide. I also think 4 weeks is too soon to call it love, imo.

Yeah I am NOT a fan of eager beavers. Part of the reason I’m enjoying the slower pace of a guy I’m seeing now. But at this point it’s seemingly so slow, that I’m not sure he’s ready. We do see each other twice a week and communicate fairly regularly though…so maybe!

Then thought about it for 4 months realised I did the right thing and can't remain friends so I told him to throw away the key. I feel so relieved to know at all times I defend myself. HELENA- you nailed it! the guy I dated brought up the “a woman from my past has reappeared...she’s the one that got away...I’m so confused what to do.” I had never been in this scenario before so I handled it pretty poorly at first. But saved face and showed him I was gone/out - he wound out coming back to me, but it never felt the same afterwards, even though we discussed marriage and kids. More like friends with benefits energy- blah. My intuition told me this was the case. Luckily his guilt caused him to break up with me shortly after - dodged a bullet! Also Ladies....HE brought up wanting marriage and kids to ME on the 2nd date. Signs that I was going in the right direction. But ultimately he wound up still being in player energy. It happens!

It had me very confused for a good month because we were so close in the beginning. He was always so busy with work etc. My gut felt sick about it all the time. I wasn't sure when Id hear from him, and he always seemed to "miss" my call, so I quit calling. When I finally broke up with him, he had the nerve to say that I was "giving up." Furthermore, 2 years ago we tried dating and he backed away in a similar way. I never wanted to talk to him again but when I bumped into him, he spilled his love for me and I gave it another change. Can say all too familiar with with that! Specially the waiting around! Nothing worse! So so frustrating! But not anymore! I'm 50 now and way too old to be wasting time & energy on Wishy washy guys! Single atm. But feel I've learnt to value myself more and except nothing bit the best! 💖

Ladies who do online dating. Have you ever had this situation: a guy asks you out, the details are set (place, time), but he doesn't ask for your number? How do you feel about it?
@Nini-rl7tc3 жыл бұрын
I don’t mind. If the date goes well we can exchange numbers at the end of the date.
@patriciarose23423 жыл бұрын
I'd rather not give out my number until Ive met him. I would just make sure I know the place we're meeting before I show up there so I know it's a place I would actually hang out, I would be there early and bring a book or something. That way I can choose my seat, get comfortable and if he doesn't show, for whatever reason, I will still enjoy myself. It also solves the dilemma of "who's going to be fashionably late?".

A lot of this has been happening in my relationship, he has a hard time settling with one person. Both set's of parents, don't approve of our relationship. He has a hard time settling with one person, he always has to be with other women, as well with me, he even tried to make me jealous of other girls. Even though he talked about being exclusive with me, and he continued doing the same thing every time. He had talked about getting close with me, every time I try he pulls away, like am not good enough for him. I believe that I deserve to be treated better then that.
@ashleyoverholt4493 жыл бұрын
I always felt that I was more of a option, then I was a priority, when it came to my relationship with my boyfriend mark, he always made me feel that way all the time.

He’s stringing you along.. A man with other girls around him like that would make me feel anxious. You definitely deserve better than that, girl.
@ashleyoverholt4493 жыл бұрын
appreciate your advice, am a little confused about how to handle the situations, should I be more up front with how I feel and tell him, or should I just ignore him and put it all behind me.
@skyeseas3 жыл бұрын
@@ashleyoverholt449 get it behind you as soon as possible. healing takes time. you have a hero’s journey to begin, & it starts with choosing yourself.

We have to remind ourselves that we can’t expect a man to change no matter how good of a woman you are. You’re free to tell him how you feel. I’d just suggest not to have expectations after. If you feel you need to keep your options open for other men, then do so. As they say, don’t put your eggs in one basket, especially for a man that doesn’t make you his priority as the only woman. Take care, girl

what got me so confused and staying in the relationship for 3 years! is that even though he told me he was not ready for making a commitment with me, but that he wanted to develop his trust in me, and that he saw the potential in being together. Anyway, after 3 years, he continues wondering. Happily is the end now

I feel like if there's any vagueness about where your relationship is going, HE IS WASTING YOUR TIME. Anything along the lines of refusing to define the relationship or something like, "let's just see where this goes," yeah, red flag.

You just exactly described the man that I am working on letting go of. The only sign he didn't give me is that he mostly wanted one-on-one time with me and while he was seeing other girls, I didn't know about it until after we broke up. I'm hoping and praying that I will attract the right man after learning SO many lessons of what not to do from this past relationship.

🌼🌻🌺🌷💐 Its so hard to know in the first few weeks if they're genuinely preoccupied or neglecting you. Its hard to gage whether your feelings are valid or you're being insecure. Its hard to tell if they are genuine when they come to your door upset when you finally get fed up and tell them not to call again. Only for them to continue being silent again. 🌼🌻🌺

That’s why it’s important to watch their consistent actions over time before getting overly invested.
