This is sad and I’m not surprised. Another component I’ve heard about in autoimmune diseases is the spouse gives rejection either overtly or covertly . Being a woman who’s a wife they can pick up on that rejection and internalize it or if they try to speak up they are shut down ; hence the ‘ attack ‘ on their voice . Near the thyroid . That’s complex but has been seen repeatedly in Hashimoto’s .
