One of the things that has really brought me happiness recently is discovering new music. I never really got into classic metal. It was just a genre I never got into. I started with Black Sabbath and became a fan over the last few weeks. That led me to check out Iron Maiden's first few albums and I am loving their stuff. I have some of their CDs on the way. Watched a documentary on them and am now a big fan

This is a fantastic video essay. Having been a fan of Maiden for thirty five years, you've hit the spot. It's interesting that some of the subjects came from books and movies and fans lap it up. If I remember rightly, the Powerslave album got people interested in Egyptology and later studied the subject. As a fan with a Trooper tattoo, they furthered my interest in wanting to play music, creative writing and art. Btw Maiden may not be a chart band in the States, but they had several Top Ten hits in Blighty, not that they chased that kind of success - that was down to their following.

The point of doing something the same way and discovering new things can also be looked at as if what you are doing was ahead of the time you’re doing it in and then as time and the world changes, your way of doing things becomes more suitable or effective in the new age vs. When you first started. Sometimes sticking to what you do well can make the environment change around you to suit what you are doing so you can take the most advantage of it.

We found a strong tie to stoicism in Rime of the Ancient Mariner when hitting it with the deep analysis. Of course that credit goes mainly to S L C, but, it was certainly enhanced by that song. In short, the story lifts elements of control or lack there of in almost every turn. Want for and need for control, how it can ruin any relationship, business venture or similar.
