very cool video! Kind of reminds me of a rabbit when you chase them for a long distance and they do a circle and end up right back where they started! Super smart old buck to hit the river and run up the water and lose you you know he was a good one! Thanks for your channel!

Always always always wait 20,30 minutes after jumping a buck out of his bed.Just have a sandwich, maybe small fire,warm up,fill the belly,and go.What this does for you,is a reset,replenish with food,drink and while you are eating you will think about him etc,he won't think about you.He will forget about you in 30 minutes,most often

I had one of this caliber do the same thing to me last Thanksgiving day up here in Northern Aroostook. He bedded without warning about a mile and a half into it and just roamed the rest of the day at a steady pace
