P0AA6 is an insulation fault, very often caused by marten (is this correct for "Marder" in Germany ?). However, those ugly sounds from the Engine may be another cause. When that electric motor blew up some parts were flying around and severed several cables and insulations. Maybe that one of the temperature sensor A, causing P0AEE Errorcode.

An accident or a foreign object could have damaged the insulation. The most likely explanation is that a marten tampered with the insulation on the high-voltage cables

@@reto1892 no accidents. Lots of motorway driving over 8k miles, it's possible something flew up, but surely the entire aero floor can cope with roads. I use Car Scanner with CarPlay a lot and I always thought the inverter and motor temps were hot (over 70C typically, but no less than a PC) - coolants and battery being 10 to 24C. In cold weather the wheels jump on full lock which is somewhat ugly. The failure occurred turning on full lock. Hard not to draw conclusions. Need to wait for the technical report. One error was a permanent calibration failure of the motor.

If P0AEE only is created when you are driving (after a few miles), then this means that the coolant circulation pump is not cooling the drive motor invertor. The IGBT's of the invertor need a lot of cooling. If the cooling is insufficient, the invertor goes immediately in derate mode. The 12V water pump that cools the HV components needs to be checked. The battery isolation fault is more serious issue. If this DTC keeps popping up, the car should be send asap to a dealer to investigate. The analysis of the HV insulation resistance of the battery pack is measured before the activation of the HV relays, so this is before the car goes into ready mode. Once the relays are on, the insulation monitoring device (IMD) of the BMS is no longer capable to pinpoint the component who creates the low insulation resistance. But here we have clearly a DTC only on the battery. So the detection of the DTC is very clear. The removal of the battery and further inspection is needed here.

It’s already at the dealer.Cheers for the info.

The temp sensor failure sounds like a short somewhere leading excess heat generated

Unrelated to this topic, but KIA in a new press release has confirmed EVs for 2025 in our market. They talk about 6 new EVs, but without any timetable and specifications: - EV9 GT - EV5 - EV4 Sedan - EV4 Hatchback - PV5 N1 segment - PV5 M1 segment The new thing for me is that there is talk of 2 different EV4 body styles. I haven't seen this information anywhere else before.

I’ve covered the EV4 hatch in my Kia Electric News videos for a few months now but as you say first it’s officially been mentioned anywhere. I also heard that Niro EV has been removed from sale in Germany.

Will also have to look up those PV5 van segments as i’m not familiar with them. Interesting stuff.

I had a strange and very dangerous experience with my EV6. While I was driving on A3 and passing by a car on my left. It braked with a loud bang, seat belt tightened so intense and it released and came to normal within a second. However that was very dangerous the force was equal to hitting an invisible wall. There was no damage to the car but hurt my chest badly. This could be phantom braking disaster waiting to happen. Worth looking for any more such incidents. I will lodge a complaint with DVLA. I informed Kia and booked a diagnostic as this happened the day after I got the VCU/ICCU recall software update

I've never heard of that one either,I get phantom collision warnings quite often though, system seems quite laggy

@ unfortunately this incident and the force of impact caused severe shock from my ICD device. Though car might have held the steering in place and saved me during that time, If this happens again, the damage to my heart will be irreversible. I doubt if dealers will take it seriously and investigate it properly. Any advice how to get this investigated throughly?

I have an engine problem but no error. If I accelerate to get on the motorway (130 km/h here in Denmark) the power suddenly reduces for a second about 110-20 km/h and engage again. But if in sport mode no problem.

That’s a strange one. Is it a full GT?

Isn't this the ghost deceleration problem that's come up before. When in cruise control the car can suddenly slow down as if a car is in front when there is no vehicle near If you press the accelerator the car resumes back to the cruise control speed?
@perclausen218916 күн бұрын
@@marksandiford9195 no there is not a car in front. It is also doing it when I decelerate to under 100 and then accelerate again. No cruise control

@perclausen2189 ah ok That's worth reporting to the dealer and see what they say I guess

Has anyone installed the august 2024 nav update for the ev6? I read that it turns on audible speed warnings and you can't turn them permanently off. EU BS from what i hear but is it true? Super annoying if so and i won't be updating the car but anyone in the UK have experience of this? Thanks.

Not on my EV6 it doesn’t. I can’t speak for every model year though. Mine is MY22
