If workers in Korea are worried about Genesis sales and their jobs. They should ask management why the company is in Europe only present in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. BMW and Mercedes figures show that there is demand for such cars in other European countries.

My EV6 GT-Line from December '21 hasn't had any ICCU issues. Actually, I haven't had any issues at all with the car - a part from a new 12V battery👍

I hope it continues that way. My ICCU gave up the ghost two years after I bought the car, incidentally just after the last software recall.

Mine (Jan 2022) went a few weeks ago. Replaced the unit, the fuse and the 12V battery. Is there any reason / chance it's more of an issue with the older models, and whether of the facelift version is any more or less susceptible? It's quite a significant and still very active issue I would have expected to be resolved by now.

Could you make a step by step tutorial video on how to use Google Maps navigation while keeping battery pre-conditioning working via the built-in nav? You once said it was possible in split screen mode, but I'd like to see a video where you actually set this up and navigate somewhere with Google Maps, showing successful pre-conditioning by the time you get to the charger. It'd be a very useful video for many!

It's only possible if you use the Carlinkit T-box because it's running Google Maps on an external device,the car knows if you set a route on Kia Maps and stops the route which stops the battery pre-condition and vice versa

The EV3 has 400v system, which is why ICCU is a different part. I believe the 800v ICCU also converts 400v chargers to 800v to allow charging. Information from Munro Live.

The EV6 converts 400 to 800 volt with the windings on the Motor,that's why when ICCU does go pop, normally the AC charging stops working but DC fast charging continues to work.

I think they are doing ok. They did have their own operation in the UK until it was folded into Hyundai dealerships last year. Some have reported that dealer support under Hyundai dealers is much worse since the change but I've not heard any comments for a while

@@evodesseythanks for the reply, I did test drive one a couple weeks back, nice car, very very nice to drive. I like everything about what the South Koreans are offering regarding EVs at the moment, the EV6 and Ioniq5 are also on my radar
