Great advice. This makes so much sense. When you announced the book that you were writing to your viewers, I did leave a comment asking if you were going to be making an audiobook too and I’m glad to see that is actually the case. I get very little time to sit down and read, but I do get the chance to listen whilst driving to work, so I’ll definitely be buying this soon. Have a lovely day.

@@sofiaoltremare6232do you have an recommendations? I am about to be in a college writing class and was wondering if audible has anything useful in that regard. I found one book called, “Hope in the mail” as a hard cover copy from the library, idk how fiction carries on audible yet but I purchased it for there too when I turned the physical book back into the library unfinished. Haven’t listened to it yet but now I must!

Im trying to recover from anxiety and recently Ive been getting better but all of a sudden my brain was like,” No this isnt possible!!! Something bad has to happen!!! You can’t be anxiety free!!” And so I ruined things for myself. I don’t know how to combat this.

what happened to me was, my brain or some internal guidance just fed me those horrifying thoughts until my body/mind stopped responding negatively. this learned experience such as anxiety for example is still there if i want to engage and experience but i no longer attend to them. its just there operating in the background wothout consuming my whole system

I think… by self awareness of each time we make a deliberate helpful choice. As Oprah Winfrey says - every time asking yourself “what the next right step to take” and taking it.

Since childhood i ve been a helpless victim of blackmagic from my own elder brother n his guru. And now even some deluded Spiritual organizations are also by his side... trying to solve the problem... but actually making it worse . May God bless me with a secure place to stay protected from his men. Only then can i focus on a goal-oriented, disciplined life style. Thankyou for the suggestion. 🙏

I needed to hear this today. I’m mostly good with everything, eating, sleeping, cleaning, organisation, work etc the romantic relationship one is hard. Mother was abused by dad who was a raging narcissist. Mother ended up with paranoid schizophrenia because of the abuse… my relationships are impacted…

Self-sabotage is also about lack of energy, though. No spoons = no progress. However good your understanding and intentions are.

But is it really self-sabotage then? Being unable to do the right thing (now) is not the same as choosing not to do the right thing
@KristinFischer-xm4db
@KristinFischer-xm4db 14 күн бұрын
I have learned that self sabotage is also something we do because its familiar. Its what you know even though you know its not what you want to happen. Its usually something you do unconsciously. For example i always date abusive men and it's not like i go out and look for an abusive partner the exact opposite is true and yet thats exactly the partner i end up with and it comes down to exactly what she is saying. When you do start healing by loving yourself you will find yourself not attracted to those who will hurt you. It wont happen overnight but it will happen if you keep working at it.

Sometimes is just simple laziness. I often put things off because I just can't be bothered - not because I don't feel I'm worth it, or "self-sabotaging". I think we can overthink many things and apply psychological labels to many normal behaviours these days. Not something I grew up with. I feel that it's all becoming a bit OTT, even sometimes potentially doing more harm than good .

i know right.. its disecting the psyche too much, giving meaning. sometimes, just do life without too much mental configuration. its just a bunch of noise. and i hate psychologists a bit. theyve given themselves so much authority over humans. they think theyve got all the answers in the world. theyre just sooooo noisy

Actually, not everyone knew. It’s interesting that you think advertising her book cheapens the video and advice; the book is meant to support the video material she has been uploading on social media at the end of the day.
@jasond626
@jasond626 2 жыл бұрын
@@chm1701 it does in my opinion and that's that.. she's been doing loads of videos in the past with great ideas and tools.. it can't be now, if you want further information buy the book, that's a bit clique batey and leaves people hanging, not good is they aren't in s good place and want help and advice.. she's better than that and has a lot of great advice.. The best I've come across tbh.. people will buy the book if they can afford it. You try and over sell something the more people question it as it is to try hard and it'll have the opposite affect..
