So…. 🤔 who has an alternator on your microwave? 🙃(Reference 5:30) Either way, share your favorite centerpiece idea for the holidays? 💐
@eaconnerart Жыл бұрын
My favorite center centerpiece is the 4 or 5 bottles of wine brought for sharing from the people I love.

We moved 3 states away & now I have a dining room & my mom’s antique oak table. I have no idea what I’m going to have as a centerpiece or for the meal. This will only be our second vegan thanksgiving. Thanks for the great recipes & videos. Even my husband watches them.

Not only do I have my Grandmother's Dutch Oven, I also have all her old CAST IRON! *Pro Tip*... Don't spend your hard earned money on new cast iron. I always watch for it in yard and estate sales. So versatile. Use it on the stove top, throw it in the oven, use it on the grill or over a campfire. Throw it on top of the engine of your 2008 Mustang GT that just got a new alternator (but for real). And the garlic number at the end... Not optional :). Stay Amazing and PEEEEEEEEEEAACCCCCCCE!

If you're vegan, sometimes you want to be wary of used cast irons as if it was cooked with meat it stays seasoned with that flavor 😅
@thenarddogcooks Жыл бұрын
YES!! ALL OF THIS!! 🙌🏾

@@frieza6721 I never have or ever will claim to be Vegan. :). I have great respect for the community, I'm just not a part of it. While my nutrition is plant based, I own leather belts and shoes. My boots and jackets from my motorcycle riding days are all leather. The above mentioned Mustang has leather seats, and I will never pass up a great deal on cast iron just because someone 50 years ago may have fried bacon in it. I have and always will enjoy a multitude of flavor profiles. You certainly bring up a great point. It just doesn't apply to me. I appreciate your insights! Stay amazing.

I remember how my mom wanted my grandmother’s (born in 1918) collection of cast iron cookware - skillets, Dutch oven, big and small pots. She was a little disappointed when her sister got it instead. It could be said that cast iron cookware is worth its weight in gold! So valuable that it’s passed down generation to generation. That’s a beautiful thing.🤗

Not only did it look delicious (and I don’t even like egg plant) but it was beautifully displayed!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😊 and the music in the background reminds me of my daddy. Whenever he would cook there was some good jazz in the background and I swear it made the food taste better. Yesss!

As a french person I looove that your recipe looks like the perfect mixt of a Tian (what most people assume ratatouille is) and actual Ratatouille. This look delicious and i'll definitely try it at home asap, maybe just replacing the thyme and oregano in the tomato sauce by a bouquet garnis! Again thanks a lot for the inspiration

It's beautiful! Yes taste along the way. I kept not liking my sauce, til I discovered it was the balsamic so now I leave it out. Can you please make a dessert that does not have a lot of sugar in it (or a lot of dried fruit which is not good for people with sugar probs)? Also, the best thing I ever tasted was my niece's Butternut Squash Galette with Thyme and Gruyere--we had it for Christmas dinner. Believe in Good, Andrew. Love your videos.

does the tomato not ruin the seasoning on the cast iron pan?
@thenarddogcooks Жыл бұрын
good question! It doesn't, but maybe after repeated use is if you're doing it frequently. But I wouldn't say, ruined because it's natural for the cast iron to need re-seasoning from becoming stripped, or unseasoned, due to frequency of use.
@kissinconcrete Жыл бұрын
@@thenarddogcooks ok good to know! The cast iron pan seasoning fanatics say to use a tin of tomato to strip the seasoning, I was worried that stripped seasoning would ruin the taste. Looks great! Can't wait to try this.
