I've never met or heard of anyone being lactose intolerant. In any case, the tiny amount of people who are lactose intolerant can still consume all the dairy products mentioned in the video except for whole milk, which isn't as nutrient rich as its derivatives. Since you seem to belong to the small group of vegans that still insist that veganism is human's original and natural diet, please tell me what vegetable is it that humans ate that contained all the nutrients that modern vegans can only get from a variety of vegetables imported from all over the world..

@@UntakenNick you’re making assumptions about me - I don’t believe humans were ever 100% vegan and acknowledge that if you shot me back to the Middle Ages I would probably have to eat meat. 68% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant. Really liked this video. I watched the "What I've learned" video because KZbin recommended to me. I did not know the channel beforehand. And I was pissed after watching it, not because of being "antivegan" but because it tries to be scientific while talking lies and half-truths. And the thing is, this type of "well-made" video wil spread easier than any response or comment with the truth. People think that being vegan is very hard and not healthy, but most people that I know eat non-healthy diets with lots of processed stuff, lots of sugar and not balanced at all. I'm vegan for 3 years now and FOR ME it has been great. I am very healthy and I am in the best shape of my life.

Me too! Teeth are a pet peeve of mine, because some of my baby teeth never came out and the adult teeth never came in (and in case any anti-vegans happen to see this, neither my biological parents nor my adoptive parents were vegan nor vegetarian; and I was an omnivorous child and teenager). Of course, baby teeth aren't built to last a lifetime. However, insurance won't cover having them removed and replaced until they get infected and cause something systemic. Which would land me in the hospital and would definitely end up costing MUCH more than the lower cost of simply preventing that now, with a simple out-patient procedure. Insurance (and preventative care) is a mess. 😔🤦🏾‍♀️

Before I went vegan, What I've learned is what inspired me to cut carbs and intermittent fast as an underweight teenager. I've been vegan for over 5 years now and I've never once been as hungry and deficient as when I was following that man's advice. It's the only time where I felt like I had to ignore my body's cravings for vital nutrients because I wanted to reach ketosis despite the fact that I only had essential fat left. I believe in free speech but I think that level of misinformation is genuinely dangerous. He essentially packages disordered eating behind this pseudo-anthropologically backed caveman lifestyle and sells that to young impressionable men who don't know any better. At best it's negligent and at worst it's predatory.

"Vitamin B12 deficiency in infants secondary to maternal causes" (13:06) (13:38) Both babies in each case were given daily intramuscular injections of vitamin B12 (including one mother). That is different to oral supplementation which you are referring to in the video.

I saw his video on my reccomended, i'm no vegan and if people can find my comment history, i have a pretty bitter impression of the community. I think in spite of that its always good faith to see the other side and i'm glad i did. It struck me as odd when he started off with the teeth thing because my sibling and I have the exact opposite experience. I also didn't like the way he basically made a montage of influencers leaving veganism and hanging them there like its some kind of shame pole or gotcha pole. It reminded me of how my formal vegan supervisor would rant about her friends leaving veganism and shame them on facebook. The spinach one was also mildly eye raising, being lactose intolerant i avoid eggs and do eat spinach since young along with pork for my iron needs and i can feel a significant difference resembling iron deffiency when i have not eaten spinach in awhile. I had went full carnivore for my skin issues and the lack of vegetables in affecting my mental clarity was noteworthy. Been omnivore since

Fab debunk! Question: Why do the RDA %s show greater than 100% if they're inadequate doses?
@veganforthem76

Assuming you are referring to the b12, the multis go by the “regular” RDA. Pregnant women need higher daily intakes.

Thank you for debunking that bogus WIL video. It popped up in my recommended YT list and I was totally unconvinced by the sketchy arguments and wrong correlations being made.

I’d love to see how they feel knowing my sons dentist says my 4 year old sons teeth have no signs of decay and are some of the best teeth they’ve seen in a kid his age who also has eaten vegan his whole life and gets small amounts of fluoride toothpaste vs my hyper “natural” nonveg friends kids who are getting rotten teeth removed for tons of decay, yet tout their beef liver and meat heavy “grassfed” diets 🤡

A bit late to the party, I agree, but why are statements made by two studies that measured Vitamin A *deficiencies* in blood/urine samples [8:29] countered with a systematic review of Vitamin A *intake* [8:38] that just proves, that the *intake* comparing all dietary patterns are similiar? To me that's comparing apples and pears, but not a stament that would disprove the before mentioned studies.

I take the Doctors Best D3 along with my Deva multi. I take the D because I was diagnosed with a D deficiency. When I was first diagnosed I was given prescription D. As with all prescriptions I did concern myself with its vegan status. But now I have a vegan D to hopefully avoid another probably not vegan prescription. It's irritating when people use bad examples of a vegan diet to crap on veganism. But I don't expect anti vegans to take an honest look at vegan nutrition. It's far easier to point to "I did a crap diet and had health issues" vegans as evidence that veganism is bad. By the same token they look at all the "I went paleo and cuted my health problems" people and ignore examples of people who had a bad time on paleo. Just cherry-pick the anecdotes that support your position.

I came, I left, and I came back a mom. Are you open to chatting with other parents wanting/raising their L/O vegan? No one has all the answers but as someone without friends with kids, especially friends irl who are vegans are hard to come by. Do you ever shoot the shit with fellow vegamommies? I definitely think you could host a certain night for vegan parents. We could share vegan friendly children's books, help one another through zoo and peer pressure nightmares, discuss the difficulty of Halloween, etc. I really think you could be the hub of this community. You're realistic, reasonable, and unlike those we won't mention on here who practically have a manifesto which is going nowhere.
