A WEEK IN MY 4c WASH AND GO SET | June 2022

Watch my natural hair for an entire week. It was styled into a wash and go set. My 4c curls were defined with gels and lasted 8 days until it was time to wash it again. Wash and Go sets have become my main hair style and here's a vlog to see how my hair looks like.
I usually also upload mini vlogs on my Instagram page, but for long formate content and a more detailed view of my hair, I wanted to show you a week in my natural hair.
I don't refresh my curls and don't put anything in after it's styled and dry. For the night I use satin scarves to tie my hair down. If it's not humid, I like to keep my hair stretched to prevent my hair from shrinking back a lot.
Gels do a better job in keeping naturally curly hair moisturised and tangle free than the LOC or LCO Method. If you understand how gels, water based styling products und humectants work, you won’t have a lot of issues with you type 3 to type 4 hair.

Yes practice and know what your hair needs. Lots of water for sure. I definitely wouldn’t use henna.

Henna is definitely not for everyone because of it’s colour and mess. Btw here in Europe you can also get your hair coloured with henna by licensed hairstylists. 😇

The very back at your nape seems to be similar in shape to mine in the same area. Bigger curls than the rest but still very tight, it shrinks up a lot. Nice seeing the week in your hair 😊

I enjoyed this video! You have wavy hair at the front and that is the reason you have minimal shrinkage. Your waves were still visible even when your hair was not clumped at the end of the video. In the back, you have beautiful coils and s-curls like telephone cord curls which is why you have a lot of shrinkage in that section. Your s-curls looked smooth or silky. Our hair is amazing because it can have multiple patterns and surface textures.

Thank you so much! Yes the loosest nape section with the S curls has a silky smooth texture. But only when it’s wet or styled. I’m quite looking forward to see it grow out, if I’m not scissor happy anymore. Just to experience the shrinkage and texture difference in comparison to my other textures. ♥️☺️
