@IPrince Majestic I don’t know why you found my response so triggering. Did I state testimony prior to this has been emotional? I don’t believe I did. The testimony by this Lieutenant was excellent because it can’t be ripped apart by people who like to use emotions as a reason for why testimonies aren’t accurate. I think this testimony will aid in finding Chauvin guilty.

@IPrince Majestic You’re wanting me to answer your question because you misunderstood my initial post by making an assumption? I already answered your question. I was referring to no one. People love to rip apart real testimonies by using the excuse that the person testifying was emotional. That can’t be done here. However, speaking of emotions, you’re clearly very emotional and triggered by comments on KZbin. Sending you positive vibes that you’re able to read future comments without making assumptions, sexist comments and asking questions that have already been answered.

@Jase Bamber well maybe he should have just dropped down in the store if the drugs was that bad in his system. Clearly lying on your belly with handcuffs on and knee on your neck was helpful. Of course now. They could have simply put him to sit down against the wall or something different. He didn’t show any sign of running off, or wanting to bite or kick or head butt them as someone said that you can still do a lot with the handcuffs on. In this case there was not much he was doing for the officers to feel over threaten. Someone also said why didn’t they just tase him. No need for the knee on the neck as such .

I disagree. What this case is really going to come down to the testimony of the coroner and other experts conceding the cause of death. The defense will try to prove that the Chauvin’s use of force was not a contributing factor to Mr. Floyd’s death. I personally believe it was not only a contributing factor but the lone factor. That being said I believe this is what the case will come down to.

@@YUMLiberalTears To me, all that is irrelevant. We all know he was no angel and was an addict. At the end of the day, it was the drugs, COMBINED with Chauvin's knee on his neck for almost 9 minutes that killed him. And to be fair, Chauvin had several complaints of police excessive force under his belt. That alone says a lot about his character.

Zimmerman's testimony will be heavily biased for the state because he works for the state. It gives him and his family their livelihood. He has every reason to be biased. I still don't know whether or not Floyd's death was a murder, so I haven't made up my mind. I'm leaning towards it being a systemic cause, and Zimmerman is a high-ranking official in that system. When I went through security training over 10yrs ago the instructor told us that after u cuff a person on their stomach that u sit them up as soon as humanly possible to prevent positional asphyxiation. He also taught us that if u do put your knee on somebody u put it between their shoulders so that the head has free movement for the person to breath and move their head to prevent any spinal injury. If the knee is between the shoulders the person get up but they can still breath comfortably. Now how is it that I was taught this during SECURITY training over 10yrs ago but a fucking POLICE OFFICER with OVER 10yrs on the job doesn't know this is the wrong thing to do. But then again he probably did know and that's why he did it.

Actually he comes across as a leader that is willing to throw the cop under the bus. I have 24 years of LEO experience. He can come visit me whenever he wants. I live in Minneapolis. A knee strike may be deadly force but as a restraint it is not. The only thing that they should have done with Floyd is get off of him when he stopped breathing and rolled him onto his side or put him in the vehicle. Management can always roll on a cop. It happens all of the time.

@@Marcell.Lovett Breathing and heartbeat are difficult to determine. Most likely they knew that he was not breathing deep but I do not remember them putting a band in front of his face. Pulse can also be difficult as you can pick up your own easily. Not saying anyone is innocent but to testify to what another officer is doing when you are not on scene is what I am referring to. Sometimes management does not know what is happening. Talking like he did I doubt he is very far from retirement. its a dangerous line of work and you want people to have your back.

I can't believe no one (that I've seen) has taken into account the fact that once George realized the officer wasn't budging & wasn't going to let up, he must've started to panic. this would cause his heart rate to increase & ultimately require more oxygen making it even more difficult to breath. So now not only are you laying on your chest but you also have your arms behind your back as well as this heavy coward on your neck as well as your heart rate increasing. Try breathing through a coffee straw (the tiny little red ones), now sprint down the block & back then try breathing through it. That's enough to panic in and of itself. Yeah through the book at him! Poor guy... May he rest in peace & I hope his loved ones get through this in Jesus name. 🙏🏼

We know one thing for sure George Floyd yelled multiple times "I cannot breathe". Meanwhile, he was face down with his hands and arms behind his back. In addition, he was not a threat/wasn't resisting. His responsibility was to remove his knee to ensure his well-being, and proceed accordingly. If he committed a crime, charge him as such. As we all know, Chauvin refused to move despite there being being fluid running out of his mouth for and blood coming out of his noise.

Very important that he often engaged the jury. This isn't an attempt to persuade them one way or the other, but it makes the jurors feel like you are directly educating them on important facts as it pertains to the case, appealing to their understanding. By doing this, jurors hold much more value in your testimony because you actively participated in bringing them into your expert commentary.

@1Proud American2021 Chauvin had 18 complaints on his official record, two of which ended in discipline, including official letters of reprimand.[20] He had been involved in three police shootings, one of which was fatal.[17][21][22][23] According to the former owner of El Nuevo Rodeo, a Latin nightclub, Chauvin had worked there off duty as security while George Floyd was also working as security, but was not certain whether they knew each other.[24][25] The owner has been critical of Chauvin since his arrest, describing Chauvin's tactics as "overkill" and saying "Chauvin was unnecessarily aggressive on nights when the club had a black clientele, quelling fights by dousing the crowd with pepper spray and calling in several police squad cars as backup".[16] The owner also said Chauvin responded to fights by spraying the crowd with mace instead of dealing with those who were fighting.[26]
