Thank you very much for all the advice you're providing. I always struggled with my skincare - at the age of almost 40, I was struggling with finding suitable skincare that would also target the aging, instead of still using products I started using in my teenage years. My saving grace was recently discovered cleanser from Community Sixty-Six - detoxifying AHA/BHA cleanser, which has 6% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid. At $16 price point it's very affordable and I'm delighted that one of the beauty vloggers mentioned it, otherwise I would've never discovered this brand! I also use their day cream with niacinamide and azelaic acid. For the night routine, I use L'Oreal Revitalift Laser with retinol and niacinamide. Weirdly, found that its gentle scent helps me wind down in the evening. I know I sound like walking ad right now, but for the last 3 years I was using expensive personalised routine and lost all hope to find more affordable options, and if this is helpful to anyone - I hope your skin routine will be easier to build than mine was over the years!

@MamaOwl42 жыл бұрын
Dr Maren did a video on this a couple of weeks ago…she recommends RetinAL which is milder or Bakuchiol.
@MamaOwl42 жыл бұрын
@@SueRosalie Hi Sue, yes you are correct it is a step away, and since it has to go thru a conversion process to turn into retinol can be it a less irritating option than pure retinol. Dr Maren, and Dr Drey have both done videos addressing the fact that it can be more tolerable than straight retinoids since it needs to convert. I’ve found that I can use it around my eyes without adverse effects because it’s much milder, and I’ve had great results doing this. I’ve never been able to tolerate retinol even at it’s lowest strength, so retinAL has been a great option for me.
