First off, I love you and have been following you for well over a year now! Thanks to you and CeraVe, my skin is the clearest and healthiest it’s ever been! Secondly, I love how you outline that correlation does not equal causation (as anyone with any sort of research background knows) in a way that is easy to understand and relate to! I will continue to sing your praises, thank you for being you!!!! ❤️

100% true! I went to a dermatologist for years, had all the treatments done. When I went from vegetarian to vegan whole plant based no sugar it was like boom, clear skin! Not just clear skin but skin that people ALWAYS ask me about. It was beyond bizarre to go from criticized for my "bad" skin to being complimented for my "good" skin.

In the late 60s, early 70s my older sister who had acne was told by her dermatologist to avoid whole milk, chocolate, potato chips, and cola. He prescribed oral Vitamin A and Nutraderm moisturizer to use on her face after cleansing twice daily. Her skin eventually cleared with no scarring.

Personally I found that mostly eating a moderately low fat whole foods plant based diet got rid of the vast majority of my acne. Lots of fruit and veg, whole grains, beans and lentils and a bit of nuts and seeds prepared without oil. Going from a higher fat wfpb diet to lower fat made a big difference. I still get a tiny bit around my period and I'm trying to treat that with skincare. I'm not across research on it, but a GP with an interest in lifestyle medicine suggested it and it worked.

Stopped dairy and pimples between my brows disappeared completely. Bad side is I stopped eating yogurts and therefore I had no source of probiotics which caused me bad digestive issues that also showed on my face and now my acne is even worse. I've started eating yogurts again and my guts are completely fine and I'm expecting a skin recovery soon. Guys be careful with what you cut out and what you'll be missing when you do so you can compensate in another way.

I’m from the Uk and Differin cream is prescribed over here for acne. I started taking it in early September and have followed your method of how to apply Differin. I was going through a pretty itchy painful purge phase and decided to quit dairy in my diet and eat a low carb diet. Alongside using azelaic acid on days I don’t use Differin, my skin has cleared up so much. My active breakouts disappeared in 3 days! I have the odd one spot but I can’t believe how much my skin has improved in less than a week.

The skin is absolutely a window to what's going on in our body. About 6 years ago I started breaking out really bad, like when I was a teenager. Over the past 4 years I've had several diagnoses that were contributing to hormonal issues (thyroid and ovarian related). Since undergoing 2 surgeries to resolve these issues my skin has cleared dramatically. I realize now that my skin was reacting long before I started experiencing any other symptoms.

Like green tea?
@raerohan4241
@raerohan4241 2 жыл бұрын
@@mc-eo1wh White tea is like green tea; the difference is that white tea is made using the buds and young leaves of the tea tree, while green tea uses mature growth leaves. Green teas are also usually rolled before drying, while white tea isn't. Using the young growth instead of the mature affects the appearance and the taste of the resulting tea; tea brewed with white tea is a pale yellow colour rather than green, it is milder and less bitter, and also contains less caffeine. As for health benefits, there isn't that big of a difference between green and white teas. There is, however, a huge difference in price: white tea is a lot pricier. It is also generally more difficult to find. If you're interested in drinking tea just for the health benefits, there isn't really any reason to choose white over green

When I was deployed I did a Paleo type diet (had access to a lot of fresh produce) and wow did my skin look amazing, no pimples and a great glow. I was also working out a lot.

I eat a clean, dairy-free, whole food, low glycemic index diet, yet still suffer from hormonal acne :( changing my diet has definitely helped with overall inflammation and the amount of cystic bumps, but is not enough for me to be satisfied with my skin's appearance

Juliette, I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this! Have you considered eliminating gluten as well? My brother has celiac disease and I noticed that my acne never fully went away until I cut out gluten as well. I didn’t realize until later in life that celiac is hereditary. This is not necessary for everyone though! Gluten is not necessarily the enemy. Maybe consider getting some allergy testing done? Best of luck!

While living In Okinawa, Japan, I saw locals eat ice cream and pancakes Daily and they don’t have any acne. Same with girls in high school here in the US, they ate processed carbohydrates, drank soda, ate candy bars and pizza and they had clear skin. Blows my mind. They must all have very good genetics.

it could be because of something else like birth control pills: when I took them I had no acne for more than ten years, once I stopped suddenly dairy and excess sugar intake became a clear cause of cystic acne for me.

I think the quality of dairy is important. Dairy in the USA is low quality in my opinion. Companies want to make things as cheap as possible and might feed cows lowest grade feed which will definitely affect milk quality and then whoever consumes it. When I lived in Japan, I didn't encounter anyone who ate dairy or sweets daily. I was a college exchange student; my experience was the students were conscious of that they ate and often geared towards more traditional small portion home cooked foods and lots of green tea. I lived in a dorm and almost all the girls there cook dinner in the evening. When there were desserts, everyone had a piece on very tiny plates or they refrained from eating it. They stayed away from the sun and took care of their skin. Of course, very little had acne as well. I ate dairy in Japan and didn't break out but when I returned to the USA, I started breaking out again... I think it is both quality and way of living.

@Alesio Duraj I'm over twice your age and have suffered with acne my whole life. About 4 months ago I started using 0.1% adapalene - and it has improved my skin more than any other active ingredient besides Benzoyl peroxide. However, it did take 3 months before I saw the full results. I think you should definitely follow your dermatologist's advice and use what she's recommended. Your skin will thank you. Good luck, and hang in there - I know how it feels to hate your skin, but clear skin IS possible.

Hi Dr Dray. I enjoy Athletic Greens and have been taking it for about six months on and off with your much appreciated coupon codes. Can you explain why most supplements go above and beyond the 100% RDA? I worry about super dosing on Vitamin and minerals due to possible adverse effects (like the interference with blood tests as you mentioned with Biotin). Thanks 🙏🏻 for addressing this and if you think taking over 100% RDA is risk.
