Lol, I don't think u need to defend yourself so much against excessive concern for the engine's safety.

Hahaha maybe not, but I do think it is important to explain certain things in case others watching this video have the same questions. As I have progressed through this project, I have learned a lot and some of the things I now know may not be as clear to others. But anyways, thanks for watching a commenting on the videos, IT looks like you are watching a couple of them now! Thanks for the support!

NP, it's great to observe someone else forge through it before I take the plunge. As I mentioned, I'm interested in fitting a modern higher powered A engine into an older RWD so this is very interesting.

Hey Daryl, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately I do not have many spare 4AGE parts in my possession. On top of that they are still pretty difficult and expensive to source in the US as well. I will reach out to you if I ever come across any but in the meantime check out Driving4answers, Techno Toy Tuning, and danST Performance Engineering for some of the conversion parts!

am doing a 7age this time (march 2021)on a 1997 corolla. this car started stock with a 1.3L 2E engine, swapped later with a 1.6L 16valve 4age high horse (red top) engine. however i broke the high compression piston from mitsubishi which i used because the block was re-bored to 82mm. Right now i am working on a 7afe block and a 4age big port tvis head. i am also interested in tucking the wire harness to have a clean engine bay. i would have a ton of inquiries. i hope you could assist...... when you wired it back together where did you connect the engine ground? I think its a brown with hash marks. use this for reference: club4ag.com/tech-data/tech-specs/4a-ge-16v-usa-ae86-corolla-gts-ecu-pins/ should be e01,e02,e1 and e21. Great video hope I get mine working just like yours!

Love the repurposed cutting board! Distribution block looks A1, circuit breakers over fuses. Subscribed, love to see your love for the ae86. I’ve driven many, nothing like them. $114k 911 not even close, you expect what you get for what it is. The corolla leaves you dumbfounded for months on end, at 40 years of life,. ❤️AE86💙

The cutting board was getting thrown away so I had to use it for something haha!Thanks for watching, commenting, and tuning in. Also, sorry for the late reply to this comment!

Props to you for being patient and doing it the way you want. Love the glove box idea. Did that exact same thing for a stereo competition back in the day, scored major points for that🤘looks good man! No rush to see it finished- do it right. Curious, what are you using for A/F monitoring? And other sensors? Fuel, oil, EGT’s?
@TheBSRecord5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I definitely am happy how it came out, being behind the glove box is super sleak and out of the way. Thanks for tuning in and supporting the channel!

@TheBSRecord3 жыл бұрын
I am running a Nodiz pro engine management computer, no need for the stock one anymore :D. I am also now running a spark plug coil pack in conjunction with a trigger wheel and crank position sensor. This eliminates the distributor. Thanks for tuning in!

what fuel pump are you using? i also have a 4age on bike carbs but i have a cheap motorcycle pump

Same one! I also got a cheap motorcycle fuel pump off amazon. Had some intermittent issues with it so I also purchased a used OEM motorcycle fuel pump to use if the cheapo fails 👍

@@TheBSRecord i see, i have a toyota 1.3 4k engine with stage 3 head , 5k block with 4age std size piston ,high cam , header and a R1 carbs 40mm still in project. What do you think is it too big for the engine with R1 carbs?
@ruikazane51235 жыл бұрын
Good progress there! You should do something on that squeaky trunk hehehe... I think you should put a thick bushing mount on that fuel pump to reduce that clacking sound. It souds painful to me, remember how quiet they are on a bike! And...I still need to get on fixing my JDM '88 FZR400 sportbike. And no, you'll get to 5k before 10k, oviously!
@TheBSRecord5 жыл бұрын
Hahaha thanks man! Yeah the squeaky trunk has to be addressed and the loud fuel pump is because it's a cheap Chinese knock off part. I ordered a OEM yamaha fuel pump and will be swapping it out soon. That pump should be much more quiet. Thanks for always tuning in!
