I'm really liking that ming bow! You make it look so easy brother. Great shooting my friend. I appreciate you. . Have a great evening. Best regards

Thank you Scott! I can't say anything bad about that Ming bow other than, I don't know if it is truly from AF archery but I don't care. Maybe if you contact Hunting Door and tell them you have a successful KZbin channel and that you will review it, they will give you a discount. I a have been sharing my YT videos with them and they have been very responsive. I will forward you the email contact.

The Ming bow also sounds better than Tatar Bow if you ask me, which of course you didn't ... just saying. Ming makes me think of the Ming Dynasty, Tatar makes me think of a sauce that goes on a fish sandwich! LOL

Thank you sir! I am pretty sure that mohawk was either my dog or a shot I did a long time ago but it was funny how it fit right in there LOL! Take care Siggy, Peace :)

Is this the updated Ming bow or has there been an upgrade by af after this one
@HandyL2 ай бұрын
I am not sure, but my best guess is that this is not the updated bow. Take a look at the handle wrap, it’s not the typical AF black leather. I would bet that the updated bow comes dressed similar to the Tatar, Turkish or other typical AF bows.

These videos make me wanna try shooting thumb release with a bow like this! What poundage do you shoot for something like this being so short? I’ve shot a 50# 48 mag and it was a squirrelly bow to me probably because I draw 31”. That’s really the only thing which makes me apprehensive about a shorter eastern style bow but of course, I know nothing about thumb release ;)
@HandyL2 жыл бұрын
I started out with a 45# Korean bow which is the same weight that I draw my longbows and recurves. The Ming is 40# which I purposely bought to train with because my form was breaking down. You would probably want to start lighter than you normally draw but I wouldn’t go that much lighter. It’s all about conditioning your thumb which shouldn’t take more than a few hundred arrows. Other than that it’s all the same muscles for the most part.

And don’t let the short length of the bow fool you. It’s a different animal and these short bows draw proportionally a lot deeper than western recurves and longbows. I have a draw length video where I draw a selection of bows ranging from a 68” longbow down to a 50” Korean bow.

I've been doing okay. I just watched your bow collection and brace height/nocking point videos. Great job! Hope all is well with you.
@jake41942 жыл бұрын
How tall are you? I'm wondering if the tatar is good for me because my draw isn't much more than 28"
@HandyL2 жыл бұрын
I am right at six feet but I have long arms for my height. My draw length is around 31”-32” and I feel like I am pulling right at the limit of the Tatar bow. Miguel Vera draws around your length and he swears by the Tatar bow, fits him well. He commented up above if you want to check out his videos and do a size/height comparison. I don’t know his exact height but I guesstimate it’s around 5’5”-5’8”

Nicely done. Me encanto mucho como los describes. Si el tatar por ser más corto pues no va ser tan cómodo como el ming. Ambos son tremendos.😃

Gracias mi Hermano. La forma del arco Ming hace un tiro mas suave :)
