Perfect way to start the weekend - watching this after work and run, while kids are watching something else on TV. Distance runner dad life 🤣 Incredible to watch these middle distance people train. I briefly hit same pace today during my 10x20s strides 😂

Great video! Honest and up front about your training. I felt your pain - but it's good pain! Brings back memories of what I used to be capable of doing - several decades ago! Good luck in the 1500.

I'm always curious to see how accurate these race-pace workouts are. As you say, the workout pace was pretty much at her PR pace. With the addition of race-day adrenaline, I wonder what she'll be able to do. Can't wait to find out. Thanks for another great vid!

No. There's no track out here. Just trails and rocks. But this month we're having a special and there's fire, too. The national forest is closed so most of my workouts are going back to flats that are slightly more gravel than paved. And I picked up the fifteen dollar minimalists from Amazon that were made in a Chinese sweat shop and my friend got me the fake vaporflies from Walmart for free from one of the local charities. So I switch between the two when either my bones get stressed or my calves get soft and go run down to town, but I had to get off the road to let the cars pass and there isn't much of a shoulder, so I had to go slow for the first part through the valley and then I could push a little bit more at the end where it opens up and there's a side walk right at the end; usually I try for something more like a ladder for the (almost) five miles and 40 minutes is a struggle. It's cause there's chaffic----y'know, cars----and sometimes I had to junp thew da bushes on uneven ground an' if it wasn't dat then I'n jus' bein' lazy cause I'n too tired and wanna whine about it. E'eybody knows I'n kinda slow like that cause I hit my head on a chee branch climbing a mountain.

it's the pace they start with so 72s average per lap initially and gradually work down (run faster) to a 66s lap
