As far as a meaning goes, funnily enough there really isnt one its just a crazy story they came up with. You should consider watching the making of a little piece of heaven, it kinda shows where their head was when they decided to make it. The song was basically the revs idea to start off and they just kept piling on more and more layers until this came to be. Super cool to see how it was made.

This song to me is just beautiful. My ex cheated on me 6 years ago and I never felt love anymore. I hate love and I avoid it, not for me. Call me a lunatic or psycho, but I wish I was the character in this song. The orchestra, the lyrics by Jimmy, the maniacal laughter by Jimmy and Matt, the piano at the beginning (basically what Jimmy came up with and used for the song's theme). It's just one of the best modern musical piece. It has everything and most of it came from Jimmy's mind. foREVer missed. A spoonful of Jimmy helps the whole world...

This song all started with the Rev. He had another band that did songs more in this lane. So, they told him to write a song as if for the other band. He didn't take it serious but then it just became this whole thing and they felt they had to put it on the album. Really, it's beautiful.

The song was made for a Halloween album colab with other bands. They were convinced by their team to add it to their self titled album, which was a good idea cause it's a fan favorite. The animation is actually inspired by Tim Burton, as well.
