The amount of excitement I have for these videos!! It was so great meeting you guys. The joy that everyone had to be there while also still being so considerate of others is one of my favorite parts of Flock! Realizing my dad may have been just in front of you in the merch line Saturday bc I sent him for merch while I *lightly jogged* to the EKF booth! Their line was crazy and beautiful at the same time. We all were just so excited to meet Ali and Daryn and team and get our hands on their genius yarn. Ooo I’m actually working on the Montpelier Top now! Can’t wait to see yours Marlene! Chelsea! We have matching key chains! I’d def knit that 😂 It’s mind blowing to me that everyone at Flock felt the same way. It was so emotional and beautiful. Everyone’s heart levels were refilled! Yes, please and thank you to the travel guide. I definitely want to spend longer there next year. I’m very go with the flow on vacations but I love especially to be guided by locals. 🩵

I also have 2 skeins of Suri that I am looking a pattern for, and was wondering how will that work? Will you change the gauge of the pattern? Thanks 😊

Thank you so much for the kind words! I haven't knit with the single strand of suri yet, so I can't say for sure! I'm planning to just knit it to pattern since suri is much heavier than mohair, so I figure two strands of mohair = similar weight to one strand of suri. You would have to ultimately swatch to check your own gauge but I'll for sure talk about it in the podcast once I get around to making it!

LisaR: Drop spindle is much easier if you start with "park & draft" method . You can't drop the spindle and you'll learn the drafting , amt of twist needed etc . Without the stress of the dangling spindle . Sure there are plenty of examples on KZbin . Another advantage of this technique is you can sit down while spinning

@@marleneknits LisaR:I learned on a wheel , and found it way easier . I never got anywhere with the drop spindle until park & draft - after a while it seems like you can let it go free with using this way. I still remember flinging the poor spindle half way across the room ( to gain speed!) trying to get the technique - have fun and enjoy - it's a cool carry along ;)
