I was so obsessed with achieving realism and getting my drawing to look exactly like the reference until I found this channel. Everything you have said on all of your videos go against everything I've learned by watching lots of other artists but you make way more sense than any of them. I have found my passion to create again because of you and I would pike to thank you very much.

This is a perfect example on how you can paint realistically and still incorporate your own style to it! 👌the blue hue you chose for this piece was a bold decision and it really paid off in the end. Amazing work! 🤩😍🤗

Your philosophy is exactly the part I enjoy the most. My paintings got better and better when I stopped thinking about whats real and what's not.... and all thanks to you! Pace 🙌

I LOVE how he said that who cares about the real world? We’re just creating art here and it makes so much sense because we always strive to make our art as realistic as possible but those little indifferences or ‘mistakes’ that we make is what makes our art OUR art. Thats what helps reflect ourselves in our art, thats what brings out our style in our art and personalisation is always a very intimate touch to whatever you do 🥰

Really like this one, alot of painters argue about not to use black because it does not appear in real world. But they embrace it when it comes to photography, and all. What is HD TV , well basically the biggest things are that screens with modern technology can create pure black and increase the definition of ”reality” so why not in paint. And if I remember correctly Singer Sargent also used black in palette so I would not argue with that.what is art without the evolution of changing perspective.my 8 year old daughter changed my way of thinking about painting, she was painting a landscape and I pointed out to her that if she would mute the greens they would look more natural and how it appears on reality. She looked at the green color I mixed for her and said, ” I don’t like it. Looks ugly and boring” and that is true, she taught me a lesson, whenever I paint now, I think of her words, paint it awesome and pretty. The best advice I think I ever got.and from 8 year old.

I think the idea of not using black came about when the Impressionists were the flavour of the day. They avoided using black at all costs. When blacks are misused/overused, they give birth to the "muddy colours" dilemma. Great vid - keep up the good work!
