Former front desk employee here: I don’t know why the hotels you stayed at would announce your room number out loud in front of everyone but they shouldn’t be doing that. I’ve worked at 2 hotels and we were never taught to say the guests number for the exact reason you mentioned. Of course we have a rehearsed spiel we have say to every guest that checks in but we would just say “your room number is written on the card holder”. Don’t be afraid to speak up to the staff before they start talking because a majority of hotels have high turnover rates so you’re most likely gonna encounter a front desk employee who doesn’t know what they’re doing because they’re new. Trust me I’ve made the same mistake before and I got corrected by the senior person training me lol.

I have them constantly read out my room number AND want me to say my phone number spell out my name etc…. Not ok especially when traveling alone

Julia! When I built my house I made sure my bedroom is set up to feel like a hotel room because I always sleep best in hotels!

I ALWAYS sleep better in hotels. I’ve changed mattresses, bedding, everything. Come to think of it I sleep good in rental houses on vacation too, I just need to be on permanent vaca…🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn’t read through all the comments so sorry if someone already said this but I get a small amount of Botox in my jaw to help with the pain from grinding my teeth! It really goes work!

I was gonna say maybe suggest you use Reds Salt instead of the Pink Himalayan Salt… it’s gives you minerals and iodine… and I found out that my jaw would do that too because I had arthritis…. You get get blood tests .. if it’s grinding your teeth it could be that you had a crappy dentist who didn’t do a crown right or big filling and your teeth touch causing you to clench or grind.
