@@victorino7113 the "culture" stems back to a time when women were literally property of their father and the man would pay the father or ask to marry her and the marriage would be arranged for her. The woman had no say in it at all. Same concept as the father "giving away" his daughter at the alter. She was once his property, now she's another man's property. So no, it's definitely not a culture that needs to be respected and he had every right to refuse to do that. He basically told them, she's not your property and it's her choice, not yours.

It’s also possible the girl has dated other Hispanic men and one was here illegally and there could’ve been issues with that too. Because the question was what she liked about him compared to other exes.

Still an extremely bigoted and xenophobic thing to say. If I as a German Jew came up would have come up with "not a goy committing hate crimes" this would have been viewed as clearly unacceptable, despite having had personal bad experiences with those people and not even generalising anyone. It's nice to see combined families get along. Me, I **totally** eff'd up the first impression. And dads don't forgive that. We've reached a detante, but sometimes it's strained. I love her mother to death tho. Somebody mess with my girl's momma, and they are asking for very bad things to happen to them.

The crazy thing is that it happens alot in east Asian cultures , Chinese Korean . Ur parents sorta expects u to date u within in ur own culture my guess it's easier to understand each other . Some couples split bc of the Asian parents didn't accept the partner , the son or daughter wanting to impress the parents . When I dated a Filipino, they said why can't u date Chinese ?

As a christian, I don't understand how you can hate anyone for their sin without first hating yourself? Hate is the opposite of christianity. Therefore, if you hate someone for being gay, hate the fornicator, the out of wedlock parents, and the adulter. Keep the same energy all around. You don't have to hate someone just because you disagree with how they live.
