I have installed hundreds of toilets in my lifetime. Today I have 3 vormax's to install. 1 is done. I have never heard of priming a toilet before. possibly to get all the air out of the trap? Either way, it took over 20 flushes before my toilet was flushing properly. I even went as far as pulling the toilet thinking my wax ring may have been distorted and was cutting off flow. It was fine and I reolaced it with a new one. Still, took 10 or so more flushes before it was working right. wtf. hope the next 2 go better.

I've seen your issue with the non flushing, but my question is, does it do what it is advertised to do, which is blast the skid marks off the bowl?

I have this unit and cant get it to flush properly, I have gone through the installation manual several times and still no luck

What is the difference between the Optum VorMax and the Esteem VorMax? I have my suspicion is that they are exactly the exact same the only difference the ones going to Home Depot Exclusive are called Optum VorMax and the ones that are the Lowe's exclusive are the Esteem VorMax.

Vormax plus more better than Optum Vormax , I just installed one , very good flushes and anything good

I’ve owned the vormax and honestly, I completely despised it, it never cleaned off skid marks, constantly clogged, it wouldn’t siphon out half of the time, and it’s just an overall terrible toilet, I’d stick to Kohler tbh

I would of applied 100% silicone grease to the two tank seals first before mounting to the bowl. Leveled the bowl then the tank. Shim the bowl if needed. Applied GE 100% silicone between the bowl and the floor so it doesn't rock. Throw that wax seal in the trash and use just a plain wax ring. You will have flushing issues later with that black funnel. Your supply line is too short. Yours has a couple hard kinks in it. Applied silicone grease to the three tank bolts and the two closet flange bolts after the nuts were installed. Replaced your wall mounted water shut off with a 1/4 turn ball valve. Tightened up the chain slack from flush lever to the flush valves. Adjusted the tank water level, yours looked too high. Other than that nice job.

All these over complicated band aid engineering solutions when the Gov should just let them be able to keep it simple and flush with moar water.

I hate this toilet. You screw it up if you hold the handle down, which then requires priming with multiple flushes. But if you DON'T hold the handle down it doesn't release enough water from the tank into the bowl, which means it does a very poor job of flushing. You ever had a guest at your house? You know how guests like to hold the handle down? Yeah, think about it. You will need to prime your toilet after each guest use. Or else have a sign printed and installed over the toilet that says "Do not hold the handle down, and expect a poor flush." Oh, and this lemon costs a lot more than most toilets too, so it's got that going for it as well. --Disgruntled Owner of a Sub-Optimal Vormax
