Story 1 - She is not invited or welcome. She is nothing to you. Make that clear and then tell her to buzz off. Story 2 - He's nothing but a coworker. He knows nothing and therefore doesn't matter. @@darkwolffazbear667 Honestly, I would have just said "screw it", and I would have run down the entire list of abuse she had subjected OP to growing up, and I would have done it publicly to further humiliate her. And then to top it all off I would have finished it off by saying "I don't love you, I hate you.". Publicly shame and humiliate her by revealing just how toxic of a person she really is, and then point out how she would literally stop OP from being able to spend time with her younger brother if OP didn't do what she wanted, and call her out for literally using her son as a literal "hostage" to force OP to do what the step-mom wanted. I have zero tolerance for bullies, and to me that's precisely what OP's step-mom was, a bully. Just like how she was trying to force OP to let her attend the party, she's blatantly using the same sort of bullying tactics to try and get what she wants. No matter what she tries to pull, do not give her an inch. If you give any ground to someone like her whatsoever, then she will never leave your life as she tries to claw her way to more and more control over OP's already toxic relationship with the step-mom. The step-mom is a classic narcissist, and she clearly hates the feeling of having no control over OP's life (or the lives of OP's siblings) anymore, so she is frantically clawing and scratching to try and get that control over their lives back. That's all she really cares about. *Do. Not. Let. Her.* I can almost guarantee that she will try anything she can think of to get what she wants, emotional manipulation, veiled threats, the works. Do not give her an inch or you will never be rid of her. OP shouldn't even have responded to the step-mom in the first place, OP & their siblings should have just blocked her and been done with it. OP shouldn't even have given the step-mom the dignity of receiving a response. At this point, OP & their siblings should just cut the step-mom out of their lives entirely, and if she continues to harass them, charge her with stalking and harassment. Get a restraining order. Anything to keep her out of your lives. Trust me, OP & their family does not need the step-mom inserting herself into their lives again. My cousin had to deal with a similar situation with her toxic control-freak of a biological father (but she no longer refers to him as her "dad" or "father", she just dismissively refers to him by his first name, which should be a big indication of just how awful of a father he was to her). The guy tried to control literally every aspect of my cousin's life, from choosing who could and could not be her friends, to even more bizarre things like not allowing her to use pencils with attached erasers (something that I still don't understand to this day). He also subjected her to emotional abuse (such as calling her "fat" when she wasn't even close). Thankfully my aunt got sick of his crap really damn fast and kicked his sorry ass to the curb, and as soon as my cousin turned 18 she legally cut herself off from him completely. To further show just how horrible of a person her father was, the guy was *disowned by his own father* (the guy tried to have the hospital "pull the plug" on his own father when there was absolutely no reason to do so purely for the sake of claiming whatever inheritance was waiting for him, but thankfully his father's then-girlfriend put a stop to *that* scheme really damn fast, and once his father was out of the hospital he wrote him out of his will and completely disowned him, while the rest of the family also disowned him to the point that when his father eventually did pass away, he was banned from even attending the funeral....thankfully the guy has apparently had enough of a brain to know better than to come anywhere near our family since then). If not for the fact that I was only 8 years old when all of that was going on (and thus, I didn't understand anything that was happening until I was older and my parents eventually explained the entire situation to me), I would have had a very hard time not just slugging the dirtbag in the face for what he'd put my cousin through (as the four of us are *very* close, and we always have been).

Mike soundz like my ex-manager he was an absolute creep. At first he was nice but weird touching me and my female coworker that made us uncomfortable. I asked an older male worker to have a word to him & he did. After that my manager made my work life hell. Bullying and degrading me at every chance. He tried to get me fired but thank God I was in a work union 🙏👍🙏 he got caught out big time and the owner of the store moved me to another department ♥️ best decision we made. But this 60 something year old prev kept hitting on and chatting up the 16-19 year Olds (he's married) and the girls have complained but nothing came of it asking them to go for coffee's maybe hang out on the weekend etc... It's because he had to leave his last job because he was about to get fired for doing the same to young girls at the last store he worked in and they were sick of him. He is the only manager who gets paid less than the bakers he manages coz he's a well known prev & his management skills are absolute shit. We found this out from a ex employees who came to work with us 😂 I left he's still there he's 66 years old now & still a disgusting old prev 🤢
