Nope stop believing in that myth lifting doesn’t stunt growth, damage to the growth plates do by an injury either a accident or long term damage like making a 10 year old squat every day that type stuff causes damage and for the height it’s genetics theirs so many people who are real tall with short relatives Micheal Jordan was 6”6 with 5”4 and 5”5 brothers with a 5”9 dad and 5”5 mom nobody in his close family over 6 foot

A speed power athlete like amon should be doing plyos and power based training 1-3 reps of 40-60% and then maximal strength training-1-3 prolly lower than 80% just due to injury risk. The hypertrophy might boost work capacity but like football is a glycolic energy and phosphates energy system sport its fast twitch. The hypertrophy work capacity training will only help endurance and injury resistance from increased muscle mass. I'd also do unilateral stuff too
