Last summer, I had the chance to sit down with the ghost hunter @AmysCrypt to discuss all things paranormal. One of the foremost female field agents of the strange and spooky, Amy has travelled all over so as to investigate some of the world's most haunted locations, from Waverly Hills Sanatorium, to Chillingham Castle, to Romania's Hoia Baciu Forest. After her interview, she even invited me to join her for her paranormal investigation of Bron Y Garth, an allegedly haunted Victorian workhouse, hospital, and asylum...

Thank you so much to Amy for agreeing to this interview! It was such a wonderful experience to be able to speak with someone possessing so much knowledge and authentic experience. Likewise, I had a tremendous time during our investigation the following night. With that in mind, don't forget to visit Amy's channel and watch what happened when she and Jarrad took Erik and I to an old, haunted hospital... Watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5rLdZacfMaVqck. Thank you for watching. Until next time... Laura 🌙

Thank you Both for this interview and for this topic. Im using the apps and oldschool divination, I release my finding on my tiktok. Most dont even know how a spirit box like Necrophonic or GhostVox is made and its so annoying many think its just guessing. I found many times the spirit app with words pop up the same word as the vocal app like GhostVox or Necrophonic. And how is that? Its energy, an intelligent energy.

Me and my wife are sensitive to this kind of thing. We went to an anastasi ruin in Colorado. It was the typical Adobe building that we'd seen previously but there was a huge round pit where you could clearly see that people could watch from up high, down on whatever was going on. You could tell this room was important. At the bottom of the pit they had just excavating tons of Earth. You could smell dirt in the air and a bizarre odor I can't put my finger on. As I'm looking down I got so violently sick I had to run outside and vomit. My wife was taking pictures and none of them turned out, literally none of them. This was in the days of film so a lot could go wrong. I chalked the sickness up to bad gas station food and went back in. As soon as I ascended the steps up to where my wife was taking pictures I got hit with the same feeling of absolute dread and physical illness this time it was much worse. I make it up to my wife and tell her what's going on and she said she feels really uneasy too. I looked down into the pit and I swear on everything holy to me I saw a whole bunch of naked people that were terrified, some of them with huge openings in their skull and exposed brain matter. It was an intense flash that made me sick! I thought intrusive thoughts were getting the best of me and I was trying to rationalize my sickness. Me and my wife make it back outside I start to puke again I'm still thinking that it's just bad food and lack of sleep. I tell my wife frantically what had just flashed before my eyes and there is a guy standing next to us over listening to the story, being kind of creepy honestly. He watched me vomit both times with a smirk on his face. He comes up to us eagerly after I told my wife what I had saw and said he was one of the archaeologist at the sight and they had just unearthed children's bones with traumatic wounds to their skulls. He was blown away because he had only told his partner and there was no way I would know that. He gave me a piece of Navajo turquoise for protection. He was clearly a Native American dude. We were all really freaked out by the whole thing. The news went public shortly after and they closed the site publicly. This happened around 2006. I'm sure if you looked you could find the story. Obviously my episode was left out of the news. I'm glad my wife witnessed the whole thing. This set me on a path of desperately trying to understand WTF happened that day! You can believe this, you can think I'm crazy, you can think I'm stupid or just seeking attention, that's totally okay, I might do the same. This story is absolutely truth n every way. There was a darkness there!

I believe what you saw was a residual energy of a long past tragedy. The popular theory (at least among people in my country) is more or less like this: whatever happens in this world is recorded by the surrounding although events which generate intense emotion leave more prominent imprints. Such recordings are repeated endlessly, looping I may say, and make appearance to those who are sensitive enough to see them. Your bouts of nausea and subsequent vomittings are signs that there was a "clash of energy", something in that place wanted to interact with you and your body reacted to the approach. Sorry for my bad writing. English is a foreign language

That story is incredible, it's always startling when a seemingly paranormal cognition or perception is backed up by some other source. I've had a few paranormal experiences one of which was highly negative at the Alaskan Hotel in Juno, years later I looked into it and other people reported experiencing thing eerily similar, local fakelore also spoke of things that lent weight to the validity of the experience. Still, folklore and corroborating stories are nowhere as concrete as your archeologist, that had to be an indelible moment. I had to comment on this because when I was really young we visited some adobe houses in northern New Mexico, my parents and my aunt & uncle where hanging out near the base just checking out the structure but I went to explore the inside. I never made it very far in because after I entered the first causeway I was able to see partially into one of the adjacent rooms/areas, maybe 10 ft or so in front of me I saw a person. They were native and in period attire, they paid no mind to me as if they were ignoring me or unaware of my presence, it was a smaller room and it looked like they were cooking. They appeared as solid as any other person and in my child mind I thought that they must live there and probably wouldn't like me barging into their home, so I left. It wasn't until later that I realized that nobody lived there, native Americans no longer wear such clothes and we weren't on a tour so that wasn't someone doing reenactment. My only conclusion is that I imagined something with a great deal of accuracy & detail or it was some sort of paranormal phenomena. Luckily for 3 year old me, the experience wasn't frightening in the least.

@@seanodonnell9826 dead stars light our night sky. I wonder if we are seeing light from a past time. I could tell what I was looking at happened in the distant past just like you. I saw details like fog from the cold coming off there wounds. That would never come from my imagination. It was condensed fear. To find out that that's most likely exactly what happened was like black lightning hitting me. It challenged my idea of reality. It shook me to the core. The look in all their eyes man!! Trepanning was a thing back then. They all looked mentally ill. Even the ones with skulls intact. I would say the "vision" lasted about 5 seconds. I was there... There was no way to know what I saw walking in. Was someone else's imagination playing in my head psychically? IDK man... It was STRANGE!!! Edit: I remember seeing a preteen girl with what looked like down syndrome. Maybe they were trying to cure them?

It just brings into perspective who's doing this for actual investigative purposes or who's doing this for popularity! You see the big time social media Ghost hunters and Ghost adventures getting full poltergeist activity everywhere they turn on their cameras! I have had an emotional experience very similar to the one Amy describes here, but at Dudley Castle. A friend of mine used to be a member of Spice, a sort of social group/club for adults that people pay to be a member of. I've always been interested in the supernatural myself and my friend told me of a ghost night that was coming up through Spice to Dudley Castle and we both went. The castle itself was fascinating. We got a guided tour round and told various things about the parts we were taken to. On this particular bit we were taken into what looked like s museum set up of a Victorian kitchen (older readers might remember a programme shown on the television in the UK in I think the 1970s called "Farmhouse Kitchen". That's what this room reminded me of). It had bunches of herbs and flowers hanging from the ceiling, a fireplace and a huge heavy wooden table. This was all roped off so that people couldn't get close enough to touch it. The guide was telling the group about the kitchen at this point if I remember correctly. It was round about this time I started to get the most intense feeling of sadness, but it wasn't just sadness. If you think about everything - and I mean *EVERYTHING* - bad and wrong and sad in the world being on your shoulders and feeling as though it was all your fault personally, you'll start to understand how I felt. Tears started pouring down my face and there was nothing I could do to stop them. I wasn't openly sobbing or even loudly weeping though. My friend noticed or felt (I'm not sure, I didn't ask her) that I was quiet or that something wasn't right and asked me if I was OK. All I could say back was "I don't know". I truly didn't know if I was OK or if I ever would be again right at that moment. We were accompanied by a couple of mediums and one of them noticed something wasn't right, came over, asked me if I was OK and I could only tell her the same; "I don't know". She took me out of the room just outside the doorway and asked me what had happened. I tried to explain it to her. She stayed with me for a bit then told me to go back in when I felt Ok again, which I did. Thee rest of the evening passed mostly event-free, until we got to a room that was a mock-up of a child's bedroom behind glass. I took a photo of this because I was genuinely interested. On the photo when I put it onto my computer at home was what looked like the figure of an Elizabethan woman complete with a large ruff around her neck. The funny thing was that this figure couldn't be seen on the photo directly on my camera, only when it was a larger picture. I sent an email off to the castle for the mediums with a copy of the photo. Sadly though, it was debunked as greasy streaks on the glass of the viewing panel of the room. I did find it really odd though how it just seemed to have formed in the shape of that Elizabethan woman with her big skirts and neck ruff.

This interview was awesome. I love Amy. She is my favorite paranormal investigator because she doesn't bs, fake evidences like most ghost hunters these days and tv show Ghost hunters as well. Always keep it real and doesn't say that everything is paranormal unless it's something she can't debunk. Personally the people that I consider to be real in the paranormal is AmysCrpyt, Adelaide haunted Horizons, Brittney Crabb, Ghosting Joey, you guys (The Paranormal Scholar), Paranormal Quest, Sir Spooks. That's just me. But anyways Amy and Jarrad are great people, they are genuine. Happy to finally see you collab which was a dream come. Thank you for this video. I am glad to see that there are folks taking a more serious approach to paranormal investigations. I can only imagine how difficult it is to work against that bias and the set backs from the efforts of charlatans and grifters to exploit or prank people, massively hindering any real investigative group. I've my own body of experiences with places and event over the years, nothing formally investigative or at best just the very amateur approaches of the young and intrepid. Things that were strange and could not be casually explained away but nor could they be considered any compelling, certain or repeatable evidence. That portion of the experience is truly maddening, when you experienced 'something' but have only grainy images or bad audio that could in equal measure be something or be nothing, a haunt or a speck of dust. I've not at all given up, as I have no doubt that we as a species do not at all have all the answers or even close to a full understanding of the laws of space, time, matter or energy. It would be lovely to gain even a small certain glimpse into such mysteries, ideally before I pass and become part of whatever 'after' there might be.

Now that was an interesting show. Some events that happened to Amy, happened to me. That "Little Girl" experience, I've had. Before systematically trying to understand what happens to me, or that I generate an effect - there have been so many - I would shrug off such events as random "That could happen to anyone." Over time and many such experiences I realized I must investigate (someday). Your show today, motivates me to search, and research more systematically what happens to me. Thanks.

I’ve watched a lot of Amy’s videos, and while I’m not sure about the voice box, I never really see her and Jared try to play up anything as crazy evidence. The thing I hear the most from paranormal investigators is what got them into the field was they grew up in a haunted location and were physically visited by the past owners or what have you which were living inside their house before them and it always sticks with them. I've had experiences in my own life that I can explain or I can remember vividly because of certain people in my life or events that my dreams foresee well before I do. I think we all need to have an open mind to things we don't know because I've had experiences, but I've never physically seen a real apparition or been touched in any so called haunted location I've been in because I just don't have the type of connection with the paranormal world like these investigators do though I find the most believable to be those who seek what the real truth is and are willing to tell the client what it is and show them the right way of going about dealing with it.

I have been an "Amy's Crypt" member for a few years and have continued to stay with them simply because they have not become too commercial. Many of the channels I started with have become more of a production than an investigation and a couple of them have now been picked by production companies. This changes them from folks seeking to find answers to actors. I am a skeptic and even worked for a couple of years in a historic estate and only once saw something that was questionable to me. The original owner and builder of the estate was a Brigadier General during the Civil War and is supposed to haunt the home. I can never say that I definitely saw something. But what I possibly saw was seen from my peripheral vision and was at the bottom of a stairway and appeared to be a leg from the knee to foot as though walking out of a bedroom the pant leg appeared to be a civil war era union uniform, while I was in the attic aka servants' quarters. However, there was an event taking place on the main floor, and although no one was supposed to be on the second floor that doesn't mean that they weren't. So with all that said I was a subscriber to Amy's Channel before I was a sub to your channel. I can highly recommend Amy's Crypt to your other subs I don't think they will be disappointed. I too, highly recommend your channel to others that might share an interest in true paranormal and wonderful scary stories. Oh, I am still a skeptic. Keep up the great work.

Thank you Laura for such an interesting interview, I haven’t ever heard of Amy and her work but it definitely seems to me like she’s a very good person for the job. Entering a place with what sounds like no expectations, and basically a blank slate I believe will give you the most honest results, and it seems like that’s what she does. And as such no “Placebo” effects are had. You either feel or see it, or not. I live my life this way in any day to day interactions. And it shows the truth without any type of subconscious intervention. What I did hear her say that I personally can’t truly agree with, is that a place may be “more” or “less” haunted. I feel like it either is, or isn’t. Who can say that there’s a certain way to measure that sort of thing? It could just as easily be one single spirit that is going wild, or multiple spirits acting casually, and you’d get the same result. So I’d go with a different term, perhaps more “active” or something like that. More like a place is busier than others, or less than others. The terminology more or less just doesn’t sit right with me. But I would love to visit her channel and see if she can hold up to you Ms. Laura! As you truly set the standard for your objective view of things that you show us all. You don’t have necessary expectations and it’s left up to us to make our own decision. I love that about your channel! So again thank you for bringing this excellent content and sharing another individual who is as involved as you are with the Paranormal. I believe that one day, things will be seen as just “Normal”. But until then, we have to make the best of our situation.

It has now become a piece of theatre, this subject. There was a time, even in my lifetime, when the paranormal was just accepted as part and parcel of life. Times have indeed changed. I was brought up in a house with a spirit, a spirit of an old sea captain, and mother would often wee him watching her putting out the washing, and he would sometimes appear in my bedroom and wake my brother and I up, and then just toddle off.

Laura, I am a big follower of your Chanel and and seen almost all the videos since the very beginning. I also happen to be a cabin crew, travelled around the world even the "most haunted ones" But they were quite honestly speaking harmless fun for me. But the one place that stands out as being haunted is my own home in India, Kolkata. This whole land was under water before they drained it and built houses. Also I would like to mention that people say that many unidentified or murdered bodies used to be dumped on these land when it was under water. I've always felt that there's more to my mundane single story home than meets the eye. It would be extremely wonderfuland a blessing for all of us if you could come to India and continue your paranormal research as the country has loads of places and backstories about locations being haunted and maybe pay a visit to my home where I feel extremely uncomfortable living in day after day. Hope you read this post and help us. Loads of love and be safe. ❤

I'm new to your channel and very glad I found it! I heard Amy talk about a place where she felt profound sadness. I live in Louisville KY, where the Waverly Hill Sanitorium is, as a young person, I would sneak in there and explore. I never saw any ghosts or heard any voices or noises, but in one of the rooms, I had the most intense feeling of sadness, to the point I told my friend I needed to leave. Never felt that way before or since.

The Villisca Axe murder House is reputedly terrifying! However, I found the murder itself scarier! The fact that the killer was in the house and that he covered the mirrors just terrifies the life out of me! I also think that someone knew who the killer was and the murders were being committed! In 1912, they wouldn't have the usual cacophony of noises that we have in this day and age! There would have been screams and the noise of that axe head smashing against the ceiling and ceiling beams would have made a hell of a lot of noise!! The neighbours said they didn't hear anything, I very much doubt that!! , Apparently, one of the little girls put up a fight, having found skin under her finger nails!! Good on her! I hope the family spirits find peace!!😔😔😔❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was also a sceptic, then one day back in early 2008, I was 14, home alone on the easter break as my parents both worked full time & my sister was studying. I was playing Call of Duty 4 with my bedroom door open, and plain as day someone walked across the landing & into my sisters room. Completely normal looking, no strange feelings at All. I said my sisters name and are you alright? no response, & she would not ignore me speaking to her so i thought, she shouldnt be home and something must be wrong. Knocked no answer so walked in, i was still home alone! No body in there at all, I remember standing & smiling then saying out loud, well that has confirmed it then, they exist 🤷‍♂️ The strangest part was, the spirit was dressed in modern trendy gothic clothing similar to how my sister dressed, was around the same age, to be honest it looked just like her but had a different haircut. Around a year later, one of our close family friends came over to a get together and she spoke to my mum & went, this is going to sound strange but ive just seen a lad through the glass stood beside everyone and he looked just like Ben but a lot older maybe 20 or so, in a shirt with military style shoulders, that house was very strange indeed 😂

Out one night with a friend and her boyfriend, we came across a house in the middle of nowhere. My friend and I didn't go far but the others ran straight up to the house. I started to get really freaked out, saying that the floor from the front door to the staircase was black and gone. Something didn't feel right. We went back to the car, locking the doors. I couldn't stop shaking, feeling as if many people were at the windows screaming for help. Next thing we knew, friend's boyfriend was trying to open the car door. We screamed. We were asked why we didn't come to the house. I said the floor from the door to the staircase was black and gone. He asked if I'd been there before, I said no. His eyes became wider and said it looked like there had been a fire from the front door to the staircase, it was black. I asked to leave as I could see and hear people screaming for help and it was getting too much to deal with

IMHO. YES. I saw a ghost during the day time. By a complete fluke. No need to be in the dark. I was sitting in my room with door open . I heard steps coming down hallway just outside. I thought it was my roommate. So I hear him get close and I'm looking to say whats up. Then a old blond hair lady peeks in to my room. I'm like WTF? I was stunned thinking I have a old lady who wondered in the wrong apartment. So I didn't say anything. I watched her look at the opposite wall from me. I watched her eyes scan around at my stuff and she did not notice me. Maybe 4 or 5 secs go by and I'm getting ready to ask her if she needs help but just then she looks at me. Blue eyes. Her expression was a surprised expression. Like oh crap! We are locking eyes. She looks at me for maybe 3 secs and leans back in the hallway. I get up instantly because I'm not thinking ghost. I peek my head out and she is right there. We are face to face. I about to say something just at that exact sec I noticed SHE HAD NO LEGS KNEES DOWN. Invisible legs under knees. Again I'm like WTF!!! I look back up to her in absolute dread because it's starting to click what she is. I'm looking eye to eye and she is just looking at me and FLOATS BACKWARDS. Not walk. FLOATS while still looking at me. She fades away about 8 feet from me. I slammed the door. Sat down and was the most scared I have ever been in my life. I could feel my heart slapping my ribs. There is more to the story. It changed my life. It happened during the day. In a place no one died. She made sound of walking and that what's got me to look at door in first place. She made facial expressions and she was just as surprised to see me. She didn't expect me to be watching her when she was looking at the opposite wall. So they can think. And she chose to float away. Like you caught me. I'm a ghost. I confirm it by floating away. No need to have lights out. No spooky anything. It was during the day. They have a conscience so I'm guessing they have to want to show themselves or it's random when they are visible. I can't stand shows and most hunters because you don't need to be in the dark and no one dude at our apartment. Talked with owner so that means they go where they want. Just my opinion but I think if they are at a place it's up to them if they show themselves. It was by far the most profound thing I ever witnessed and it was by dumb luck. No hunting. Just right place at right time.

That's a fascinating story there... Similar to witnessing UFOs/Aliens, in the sense that, until you see it with your own eyes, you'll forever be skeptical. Once you do though, it can be life-changing and completely shift your core fundamental beliefs about reality - which can also scare the fcuk out of you. But it's something that never ever leaves you... 🤔 *_Brrrrr! Shudder!_* 😬

@@nickthelick They are real and they are conscious. She made noise so they can interact with the world. I was not on drugs was not sleeping. Was just watching TV. Was not thinking about anything just watching what's on tv. When I first saw her I was more confused. I was not thinking ghost. I was thinking I have a lost old neighbor and what do I do? I'm looking at her lost for words because I was expecting my roommate. A big black dude and I see this meek old lady. I saw her expressions. She was like scanning my wall and looking at stuff on that side of the room. It's almost like she was walking by and was like who's stuff is this. Then when she saw me she was just as surprised as me. Now I think about it I got up so quick when she leaned back in to my hallway that she didn't have time to think. She noticed that I saw she had no legs. It's like she was like gigs up. Then she floated backwards. Not walk. Floated. Still facing me. Then she fades out till she was invisible as her legs. It was such a profound moment. I thought about it for so many time over the last few years. it's like what do Ido with this? No one is going to believe me. I actually want to shake people and tell them they are real. The thing I think the most is that she was conscience. She was thinking. I don't think she knew I was in my room and maybe she didn't know she was visible. That and what the hell was she doing in our place. No one died there? Makes me wonder what do they do all day? Just wonder the earth and spy on people all day. Don't sound like a good afterlife to me. Some people told me it was a time slip thing. Like might have been a ghost to her. I don't agree with that. She knew I saw she had no legs knees down. To me it was like she confirmed what she was by floating away. Anyways after that experience I don't care for ghost hunters show. Mine was during the day. So looking in the dark thing is pointless. I think it's all luck if you see one or not. I don't think she wanted to scare me. I think she made a mistake and when she knew I saw her she was like yeah I'm a ghost. Bye. I still get the shakes when I think about her. Especially when I'm alone. We never did ever or ghost hunts at home. Seeing a ghost once is so scary to me that I had enough of that. Thanks for listening. All I can say is they are real and I don't know if all the spooky ghost hunters is how you see one. I think it's probably luck.

@@nickthelick yeah for a good solid year I thought about it all the time. My roommate said anything how they saw her too. When I ran out to tell him what I saw was just as crazy as the event. They looked at each other and guessed I saw a ghost. I was floored. She said was it a old lady? They saw her one morning when their alarm clock went off. She says she heard the alarm go off for work and sat up. There was a head of a old lady and just the head next to the alarm clock looking at her. She screamed and went under the covers. Her BF jumped up from sleep not knowing what's going on and he looks at the alarm clock and her head is there looking at him. He screams and they both are under the covers terrified. They were sobbing in freight. They got up and ran out but noticed it wasn't there. This also was during the daytime. It was mind-blowing going from a boring day. To seeing a ghost face to face. Then hearing that my roommate and GF saw the same person. We did a history search and no one died at that apt. Property manager said no old lady ever lived there. I have no idea why but she is def there. I never saw her again but I could feel when she was around. You can just tell. My roommate put me on the phone with his old roommate. Dude told me he never saw her but at nights someone would scratch loudly the wall behind his pillow and wake him up. Changed my life but at the same time I don't have the words to convince people. It's more annoying then anything. Not a fan of being alone in a place because of it. I moved out about a year later and old roommate and his GF stayed. They said she is definitely there and loves to hide things and makes random noises when they are watching TV or relaxing.

It is always good to document, events that happen. While not necessarily paranormal. It is possible that these types of events occurred when a location was inhabited. over the years that I have been investigating and researching paranormal phenomenon. I have considered personal experiences, while not proof of the existence of an entity. Are important in the sense that, others have experienced them. And to that extent, it may be a validation, to individuals. I think, any experience, even seemingly random events, should, be documented, but should be thought of as interesting events, but not prof, of a haunting.

The problem I have with these sightings and I’ve had one myself but it was an oval blur not a person, is that it always seems to occur when we’re disturbed during sleep. I went downstairs to get something to eat and for no reason at all I felt compelled to open the door to my lounge. This is where i saw this oval blur, I wasn’t scared but very much alert. I decided after 10 seconds or so to back out of the room, did I see something because apart of me expected to see something? Why did I go into that room? Was I fully awake or still in a kind of half way state, the latter is what I choose to believe. Why didn’t I see a human being, I think probably because I don’t believe in nonsense. Have you heard of anything similar to my experience?

I would love this channel to do a scholarly investigation of investigations. There is so much lore and agreement among paranormal investigators regarding unsubstantiated rules of the paranormal and techniques of investigation that have never undergone any scrutiny. It's just assumed to be true because someone once said it's true and then everyone takes it as Gospel. For example: the various machines people use (yes/no lights, EMF meters, those radio static devices, those devices that spit out random words programmed into it, thermometers, ouiji boards, etc.) Someone says something vaguely technical sounding about it and people just accept it because who are we to judge? Or the lore around water or stone being a power source for ghosts to tap in to? Seems convenient since we live on a planet made of water and stone and anyone would be hard pressed to get away from that stuff. Then there's the concepts of numbers, witching hours, full moons, investigating in the dark vs the day time, etc. -- are all these are merely accepted lore (and cinematography choices) or is there some evidential validity to it? The questions these raise in my mind is, where did this lore come from and is there any basis to any of it? This does not have to debunk any particular haunts or "evidence" or hoaxers. Just, perhaps, raise things above mere rumor and group think with journalistic integrity.

I spent some time at an inn that is well known as haunted by children. I am a skeptic, but I swear, I was poked in the night.

@@Ghost7065 it was very strange. I was trying to sleep, and I felt movement around my back, followed by a very distinctive poke. Almost playfull, in a way. I am not the only person to experience this at this particular location.

@@APSAfortheUSA I've been poked too. Not as bad as you but in the arm in a big empty basement with no one else around 😑😑

Yes two of my favorite youtubers together I love it!!! My gran says one of two things happen when you die, you either get cremated or put in the ground how do you get up from that. I say it’s your soul that goes around cause what happens to your soul when you’re die. For the record I’m planning on coming back. I’m going to be the worst poltergeist ever! No priest will be able to get rid of me. That I vow!
