Sensationally regarded as a "thin place" or window area, The Bridgewater Triangle is a 200 square mile paranormal hot spot in Massachusetts associated with all manner of mysterious phenomena, everything from UFOs and alien encounters, to creepy cryptid creatures such as Bigfoot and the Pukwudgie, to haunted places and ghosts, including the Freetown State Forest. Investigated by researchers including cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, the area is claimed to be cursed, with its paranormal reputation, not to mention association with many instances of horrific crime, leading it to be regarded as the most deadly paranormal location - and quite possibly interdimensional vortex portal - in all of America.

Hi Laura! I live in Rhode Island. I'm a paranormal researcher/investigator and have investigated the Bridgewater Triangle many times. I have good friends who live in the area. I just recently helped a TV production company with information on the strange events reported throughout the triangle. The program will be called Beyond Skinwalker and will air in the summer of 2023. Love your videos, you guys do a great job!

I spent an afternoon driving around the Bridgewater Triangle with researcher Nick Redfern (nice guy) and he found the area was like the Cannock Chase in England.

Theres nothing there...just remnants of Lovecraft ,ruined mills, a crappy mall and tons of meth people...especially Taunton. Only thing spooky is that stupid bridge in East Providence. I have lived in Bridgewater my entire life and although I’ve only personally witnessed very strange ufo’s a handful of times and heard alot of scary/strange noises coming from the woods in the Titicut area, I have heard a lot of crazy things from others.. there is also Bridgewater State Hospital which is a medium security hospital for the criminally insane which has had its fair share of weird/crazy happenings, supposedly alot of bad spiritual energy in that place and has had a reputation for being haunted.. def a ton of history in this area going back hundreds of years and alot of that history left dark energy in its wake.. great video as always 👍🏼✌🏼

Back in the year 1981, I had a friend, I refer as R&L D., who lived in Bridgwater and was a he was a State trooper and when we visit them and stay at there home. In the evening we were have a couple of drinks and talk about living in The Netherlands and in America. I was working for the municipal of Amsterdam and we shared our work. Then I asked him about this triangle, then all my interest, because his work as a State trooper and living near the Titicut area if he expirienced strange things, he looked at me and only shook his head and told me : you won't believe me if I told you my experiences on the job at night. I don't want to talk about it yet if I can muster the courage to talk about it, I'll let you know and his eyes went big like in fear. He never told me although we were friends until he died in 1995. All he admitted was that the Wampanoag people who lived there were correct in their claims and then said nothing more about it. I would like to mention that he had been to Vietnam and never spoke about it despite having complained several times, so not really someone who was easily frightened.

I live within 20-5 miles of this place. It's all true. Been there twice . Never going back. For any amateur ghost hunting, or paranormal weekend warriors , go at your own risk . The dark atmosphere even during the day is palpable , and always the sense of being watched. I got about a 1/2 mile in before the hair on my neck and arms stood on end , and that was enough for me. When I got back to my car , it was covered front to back with flies , almost as if trying to stop me from opening the door. No BS.

I grew up here in Central West Virginia, which is right in the upper middle section of the Appalachian Mountains. I’ve encountered many things, some explainable and some not. The most unexplainable things that I encounter and hear about from others the most are what we call “The Watchers.” As you walk through the trees you can see them poking their head from the backs of the trees in front of you, but when you get where you saw them, there’s nothing and they just always seem to be either just in front or just behind you about 50 feet away. They don’t seem malevolent, and all they ever seem to do is watch, but it can get unnerving at times when something else already has you ready to get out of the woods and go back home.

Were electrical creatures, conductors really, and emotion tends to be how we can affect our immediate area. I posit any area where there's been concentrated ecstatic emotion of any kind will create some kind of different electrical field. We've also a lot of evidence to suggest sound can change our environment, I hope to experiment with that some.

I worked 11 pm to 9 am & walked from my brother in laws house to work in the dark & was petrified. Walking home at 930 am past the swamp like areas and Assonet Point etc were frightening. While I was there a Nstive American Indian in full headress regalia was spotted by an R.N on campus. I felt energy shifts & swamp light smoky gases & noises in the woods. Cool place to investigate but be careful. Thanks Laura such a great post as always.

I have not gone in at night yet, still trying to work up the courage to attempt it lol. But the daytime is just as creepy and scary but just stunning especially in the fall. You definitely feel like your being followed and watched. The disembodied voices that you hear are soooo clear like they are right next to you or whispers in your ear. The energy that radiates off the triangle is truly enchanting and terrifying. I always bring offerings to the ancestors and the ancient creatures. I am a very rational boomer, always seeking natural explanations for mysterious events. However, some of the most down-to-earth, sane men I grew up with have encountered something in the woods while they were hunting. The overpowering stench like rotten skunk, hearing the bizarre screeching and babbling, and being stalked by something VERY large. They make no statements about it being Bigfoot; they simply report their experiences with a sense of wonder and an "I have no idea" statement. I'm in rural S. Illinois, and I believe our woods can hold all manner of wildlife. I don't know either, but with sightings having even been reported to police (a couple of really freaked-out 18-year-olds, who told my mother first), there is SOMETHING odd out there.

Thanks for the great video. I knew about the Bridgewater Triangle, but not about it being such a vortex of the paranormal. The horror author H.P. Lovecraft said in his novella "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" that there are places where the barrier between our world and other worlds is thin, and it would be "disastrous" to reveal those locations. I wonder if Lovecraft knew about the swamp's reputation.

@@loralouise3865 no success growing your hair.....is that because you get annoyed with it, bothered by it always blowing in your face, or do you just not like the way it looks on ya. My issue was getting tired of having to pick hair out of the shower drain. Of course living with a female only put a band-aid on that problem. Still got a clogged drain full of hair, it just takes longer to accumulate. After a while I'm just tired of dealing with it personally. So before I cut mine, on two seperate occasions, I decided to get dreads. Talk about high maintenance hair. First ya got to wash it with a certain kind of soap, which you then gotta mix with water and put in one of those tops like a squeeze bottle, carefully onto the scalp. If you just use regular soap it will stay in the dread itself the more you do it. Thus giving one an appearance of having an extreme case of dandruff. Some may even mistake that kinda thing for lice. I figured if I'm gonna cut it anyway why not get dreads and wear em for a short few months. What I still can't figure out.......is why I did it a second time.

There have been multiple bear sightings in the area recently. My mother goes for hikes in the Freetown State Forest regularly. She told me this afternoon that yesterday when she went for her walk nearing the forest a deer ran past her frantic and two dogs in a yard near were growling, snarling and frantically circling and pacing in the direction the deer came from.

This was so cool! I moved to Massachusetts in 2019, and I had never heard of the Bridgewater triangle before! Now I must visit! I'm originally from Maryland, and there are vortices like this all over that state. They're very small areas, nothing like the Bridgewater triangle, but I've seen some stuff! Sometimes, I wonder if the veil is thinner in places like this maybe due to local geological features or geological composition. It's just a theory from a non-scientist who enjoys geology and the paranormal!

There are fishercats and bobcats in the region. Both creatures sound like screaming women when they vocalize. Fishercats are nocturnal. Hearing them at night is very unsettling. This doesn't explain everything that happens, though. We've seen so many unexplainable instances from human shaped shadows to whispers in the woods and lights floating through the trees. The area is definitely wild.

Driving down route 44 on late night back in February of 2013 coming home from a strip club in Brockton. Ran into the red head hitch hiker ghost. I passed by him, very tall, grey skin, fiery red hair, jeans and work boots and red flannel. Passed on the left side looking right at me, then a mile down he appeared on the right side. Another mile down, my car died I looked in my rear view and he was in my backseat. Turned around, was gone. I couldn't go anywhere , so I closed my eyes shaking, opened and he was in my passenger seat staring at me with a mad smile. Evil like I've never seen like somethin in a movie. Me being a combat vet, and never denying supernatural stuff's existence, I yelled at him to get the F outta my car and I threw a cross at him. Went right through him. He's perfectly still, just staring and smiling all evil like, like a projection. So I got out of my car, walked to the other side of the road amd smoked a cigarette nearly pissed myself. I looked back at my car and he was gone. Got back in, started it, radio was fuzzy and I heard laughter over it. The whole thing lasted what seemed like forever but I think the sun coming up drove him away the most. Wasn't fun and still affects me to this day.

Lived in Massachusetts for a few years, and visited Freetown State Forest just to see if anything would happen.I had been interested in UFO's basically my whole life, and had heard a few stories of pucowegies. I'll say this; It's definitely VERY eerie. It was an overcast day. My partner (at the time) and I were just about finished with our walk. We had already turned around on the trail heading back to where we parked. I had a Nikon camera on a strap around my neck, just in case we needed evidence of something. Then out of nowhere comes the biggest bee(?) I have ever seen, flying extremely fast, and directly at my face; missing me by an inch or two. Both my girlfriend and I turned around, only to see it flying back towards my face. I ducked! Turned around, there it was again, headed in a collision course with my head. I ducked again, only this time after avoiding this thing, I ran. Then stopped, and the damn thing buzzed by me again! I took off my hat and started swatting at it, when my girl says, "RUN BABE!"...so, I ran lol. But backwards...not sure why...that's when I tripped on a rock, nearly (but not) breaking my camera. The animal left me alone after that. We returned to the car convinced it was a pucowegie shape-shifter. I still cannot say that it wasn't. I mean, we went looking for trouble and we found some. 😂✌🏻

Interesting seeing the Bridgewater Triangle get some more attention outside the US in being covered by a UK based youtube channel. I first heard of this place on the late American ufologist Tim Beckley's youtube channel where he did several videos about the Triangle. He considered its being a hotspot for all sorts of seemingly unrelated paranormal phenomena key evidence for all those somehow being connected in some way, perhaps being different manifestations of the same entities. There is by the way a full length travelogue documentary on the channel Small Town Monsters that visits most of the locations mentioned in here, getting high quality footage of the sites of the many weird and terrible incidents to take place within the Triangle in case you haven't seen it yet.

@KitKat_293

i can tell you that there are massive quartz quarries in the freetown state forest. the soil near the forest in residential freetown is also very quartz filled so much so that when most of southeastern massachusetts flooded in a massive storm in 2011, the freetown area stayed very dry despite the rains while neighboring towns had their basements all flood and roads blocked off for weeks. because of the rocky and sandy terrain that doesn't retain water the same way the land just a town or so away does. so it's as if even by new england standards the Triangle could have even more of that kind of rock deposit. when building homes on the lakeville-freetown border it was impossible to dig without hitting rock after rock and ending up with towering piles of rock and sand all around the lot when digging out foundations

This is a beautiful forest with a ton of bad history. I live in Rehoboth Ma. and what's actually creepy about it is the well documented things that actually happened there. The little girl that was kidnapped and tied to a tree left to die, the homeless man, three women, and mutilated animals that were killed by the Fall River cult, the battles between natives and colonists, the suicides, the teenager found after 3 days half beaten to death who lost his legs to frostbite, 2 men and a boy found shot to death. Everything else such as packs of killer dogs, UFO's, ghosts, strange creatures, Bigfoot, specters, ominous black helicopters, mysterious orbs of light and giant snakes, are all urban legends that spawned from the evil crimes that were actually committed there. Forests are generally creepy at night, then again so is my basement, so visit during the day. This forest is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the fall, as it is home to protected species of animals and fauna, but you will miss out on its beauty if you let the myths get to you.

That area Bridgewater, MA, was once covered in a lake of water. After the Ice Age, the area became drained and forested but to this day it contains negative energy. Many places like this existed in the U.K., Scandinavia, and the rest of ancient Europe, especially the areas in Germany which were covered in marsh and swampy lands as the Roman army described Germania, home of the Barbarians of the North. Lands covered in thick dark forests so thick, it took months to travel through. Swamy marshes that if could be developed, would take Roman builders decades of years to properly drain, clean, and irrigate in order to build upon. Places such as these were also known to be homes of witchcraft, satanists, human sacrifice, and ancient Celtic and Druid Ceremonies. Not for the faint of heart, even in North America.

Sometimes I think clusters of paranormal reports are as much about the power of suggestion as they are genuine phenomena, but that is not the case with Bridewater. There have been a high numbers of reports, describing all manner of phenomena, made over the course of many decades--including and especially long before the area became famous for them--which makes mass hallucinations an unlikely explanation for whatever is going on. It's possible there's some comparatively mundane cause for what people have reported (ultrasound, psychoactive swamp gas, errant weather balloons?), but there does seem to be SOMETHING going on there. And since we live in a world in which UFOs and Skinwalker Ranch are accepted, if unexplained realities, Bridgwater might be another one of those places where things happen that we just can't explain. Yet.

There wasn't a dull moment, from start to finish, and they actually had to cut it a bit short bc it was only the two of them (it's a couple) and they were being followed by something very dark and they decided for their own safety that it'd be a better idea to go back with a group of people, just in case 😬 And believe me, not only are they sincere, but their videos have some of the best evidence I have ever seen in regards to the paranormal, so for then to cut it short like that really said TONS about this location!!!

i was thinking the same thing. the shapeshifting intelligent life from another world in an area that might be thin and easier to cross over. it seems distinctly similar. once chatting with a woman in the modern wompanoag tribe and mentioning i was from the freetown-lakeville area, she offered unprompted that the area is a very spiritual place to her community and always has been. which was nice of her to say but makes sense as most cultures have lands deemed more holy than others. and perhaps this thinness between worlds is something connected to whatever makes a given land so spiritual or holy to us. i would like to imagine the thin space is something where the full range of benevolent neutral and malevolent otherwordly beings and spirits can and do cross planes. tho the negative and scary stories are more notorious and passed around campfires, i do know many in the fall river freetown lands who have had more positive, but still remarkably miraculous and unexplained experiences in the area. it helps me reconcile with some forests and places in town feeling to the core like the most profoundly safe and comforting i have ever known. and not far off are some that have filled me with unexplained unease terror and dread.

Depending on how sensitive you are, it may be a place close to home. Still, there are places where the veil between worlds continues to thin. The end was of particular importance to me, I have heard of such malevolent beings. Tricksters, unable to cause harm by themselves so they are relegated to mess with the intelligence and thinking of the people. Indeed, stories have been passed down in many areas I have visited to keep a low profile and not to engage with nature. Such a theory could also explain Skin walker ranch (perhaps) breeding ground for deception. @laurarowton hats off to you and @paranormalscholar for such an in-depth view into the area, your hard work and dedication is evident and welcomed by all of your fans.
