I absolutely cannot stand when people say that to other parents. Just wish parents the best because every child and every situation is different. 🙌🙌

Most of that crap doesn't even happen. Like "wait until the tantrums" mine had reasonable tantrums and we were able to work through them fairly easily. Usually people say this to project the struggles they've had

Exactly! Was told “ wait until you accidentally make them bleed when cutting their nails” ( first of all what???? The actual???) needless to say I never cut my childs nails to where she bled… and I even did her nails every week to a week and a half as they grew fast…she’s now 5 years old. I still get told “ wait until” 😐

@@shell7142 that did happen to me but not with finger nails, I opened a door and didn't realize my girl was on the other side. Poor baby got her toe nail pulled off 😞

Omg don’t listen to those nasty parents who want to spread misery. “Once he starts talking he’ll never stop” or “just wait when he starts walking you’ll never relax again” omg shut up. Child development is beautiful and amazing, terrible twos don’t exist nor terrible threes, teenagers are amazing in their own way - you’ll survive it all! And you’ll love it too if you have the right outlook. I am a mom to 4 kids and I am loving EVERY second of the journey!

I hate that. I had horrible insomnia by the end of my pregnancy. I was only getting an hour or two of sleep at night. When I me mentioned being tired people would say just wait until the baby gets here. My baby will be a month old in a few days and I can confidently say I’ve been getting way more sleep since he’s been born than I was before he was born

When that baby is born! I can’t even explain the love you’re gonna feel. Newborn snuggles are the best. And they smell like heaven. You’re not get anything done because you’re gonna be starting at that baby all day. The sneezes the hiccups you’re gonna love all of it.

My mom always tells me “we will get there once we crossed that bridge” meaning that I will find a solution, once I am faced with the obstacle. I have anxiety and am an over thinker so oftentimes, this simple phrase helps me remember how unprepared in many situations I’ve been and still managed, despite the best “advices” people gave me So enjoy the time you have and take every day one step at a time

It's not to put down being a parent, at least not to me. It's about trying to connect to other parents, really it had nothing to do with the kids more like your not the only one who has gone through something or will go through it, or hey kids can be crazy but it's fun! I don't know why people make it a bad thing. I wouldn't change it for the world, my kids are my world, I love them with my while self.

Looking back it can be hurtful because my son now has health complications that started at 3 months, so he's not hitting the milestones that I should have been soooooo worried about. 😅 Why can't people lift others up? There's enough to be anxious about!

My mum heard that all throughout raising me. She previously had 3 boys and I was the first girl and the entire time she heard nothing but, “Just wait till she…” and all sorts of other things. Only to never ever have to experience those things cause my mama actually treated me like a human being and not like I was only her spawn ☠️☠️ People are so weird

Everyone would say that when I would share how hard my son was as a newborn they would say "just wait till he's a toddler. The newborn stage is the easiest" literally right after I would talk about how my son colic was bad he cried for 4 hours straight and we could comfort him... well guess what suckers! Now that I am in the toddler stage I can say that the newborn stage was hard and the toddler stage has been a breeze for the most part! Y'all were all wrong!
