hands down one of the best pedal demo's I've watched in a while. The sincerity and humility of the whole episode was spot on. 29 Pedals, you have a new customer because you literally touch on many issues I've been facing. I own 28 overdrives seeking all the wrong answers from them. Well done lads, great episode

Absolutely amazing pedal producer who is doing something no one else is doing. I mean I’m just astounded at the understanding and passion he has for his craft. This guy just performs out of a sense of excellence. On the track and mindset he has I can just tell he’s gonna make tools that will be used as classics for years.

@douglasdog1 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I do like that about them. I’ve been thinking about how I miss pedals being looking physically unique. They used to all have their own style, now everyone puts a modded clone in an MXR style box, paints it unique and charges double what the original design costs. Starting to see more unique original pedals which is good.

This is amazing! Jesse is brilliant! His pedals are brilliant! I recently got the FLWR and am genuinely blown away. No overdrive even comes close. It's so inspiring and customizable, while still being so simple and minimal! I would honestly love to have a custom board built by him if ever I were an important musician. It's so cool to see someone approach pedals and pedalboard from a holistic utility standpoint rather than just say: hmm I want to make a delay pedal now because it will sell. Anyway, I think if Jesse keeps going at this rate he will stand up there with the likes of Pete Cornish. And I don't say that lightly. Bravo!

At first, I thought the Euna was something I'd never need. Then I decided to get it and that pedal is a must have. I seriously cannot unhear it. It also feels like it gives my amp a bit of a volume boost which I like due to the added sustain. I understand if people might call it useless, but trust me, this pedal is really adding a bit of magic.

Very cool video I didn't think I was going to like it but I actually liked it a lot! It seems that his pedals, they either keep everything right where you want it or they give you that extra bit of something that you're lacking? If that makes any sense. It's kind of like they do both things, meaning they do everything they need to do and they don't do anything more than they don't need to do. Really a cool concept and I bet in person they would be a quick seller. One of your best videos! You are a great interviewer and pedal demoer....

I love 29 Pedals. They do make a serious improvement to your sound. You have to try them. I run a lot of effects, with quality buffers and EQs, and when I tried these pedals my sound became so much better and brought back sound I had no idea I had lost. They are subtle, but absolutely will make you never want to turn them off.

You can get that sustain sound with an EH Crayon, at low volume. It's something about the eq section. You need to play about with the 2 eq controls until you get the sweet spot. Then have it on 10 on the guitar volume, and back off to 7 (ish) to stop it. It sounds a lot like this Jack Pearson clip kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6THhIaKf5KbY5o where I got the idea. I tried a few tubescreamer pedals, but the Crayon did it at the lowest volume. JP is also using a Bullet Squire, which I used too.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t a good EQ pedal and a clean boost pedal do all of this?
@_caseyjames Жыл бұрын
I'd have to see his actual circuit but yes - if the boost has a buffer, which many do. Be careful out there, so much snake oil in the world of guitar
@mijaelmaratuech56886 ай бұрын
i think to an extent and for most ears yes. the signal to noise ratio would be significantly higher though. i don't think this is 'snake oil' as the other reply said, because the maker is really forthcoming about this being a hi-fi thing. it's to juice out the most of your signal. people in the 'hi-fi music listening' community do this all the time, and for most people it is overkill, but if it matters to you it's quite real!
@picksalot1 Жыл бұрын
That was a particularly interesting interview with a very insightful Pedal Designer. There was a weird "ducking" thing that happened occasionally with the mic/mics that sometimes made it difficult to compare the tones when the units and the vocal mics were switched on and off. 🤷♀ Never heard that issue before on your videos.

This is going much tooooooo far "infinite sustain" is just horrible: - you play one chord the whole gig - guitar still makes noise when in the gigbag or case - you can't sleep any more because of all the noisy sustain in your flat - you need to be hospitalized in the end

@clos87 Жыл бұрын
If you have to ask then this pedal is not for you.
@tah5w Жыл бұрын
@@clos87 The functions included are variable impedance, boost, and a little eq. in both pedals. Perhaps the sustaining one is in a different league but having tried the others and compared A/B, my experience tells me that the capabilities are pretty much the same and certainly in my opinion doesn't justify the price. I'm guessing John Mayer fan boy tax is built in.
@stoneysdead689 Жыл бұрын
I try not to get too caught up in tone chasing because I honestly think it detracts from just playing guitar- creativity and execution are what I try to really concentrate on. Or you could say note selection and technique- it's the same thing. The simplest way to put it- trying to play what I hear in my head- exactly as I hear it. If I can do that, I'm in the zone, connected, whatever you want to call it- and I really enjoy it. That said- I usually can't play it as I hear it, which gives me plenty to work on. And when I need a break- I turn on some Floyd and play along with Gilmour- no shame in covering a legend. Being able to play the solos that caught my attention as a kid and made me want to play guitar is intensely satisfying. Shows me how little I understood about playing though- I thought back then if I could play that stuff- I would be a monster player and everyone would want me in their band. LOL- Imagine that.
