I am so glad you guys went and listened to Queen. You have to realize that people my age grew up with singers and bands that really sang. They did not rely on the production making them sound good. Freddie was the master of the stage. He was and still is the best front man ever! Angelina is such a breath of fresh air because she actually can sing. She doesn't just mimic, she makes these songs her own. This girl can sing anything she wants!!!! I believe she has forced so many to go back and hear the grandfathers of music! They are the history and shapers of music. they honored those before them and built on those and it shows in their music. Most singers now have no idea where they came from or where they are going. They hadn't ever realized what music is and can be. I hope as they go forward they will commit themselves to making good music that stands the press of time

Queen was one of the best and most influential bands ever. Freddie Mercury was one of the best vocalists of our time. He passed away from AIDS! The lead singer for Queen now is Adam Lambert of American Idol fame. Queen liked Angelina's version and arrangement so much that they posted on their official twitter account " Wow, what a rendition " and even gave her permission to copyright her version of this iconic song! No greater compliment can be given from artist to another !! There is no one better than The Barefoot Princess !! I'm 65 years old and an old special ops soldier ( U S Army - Green Beret ) and Angelina ALWAYS makes me feel the songs that she sings , she has brought me to tears more than once listening to her superb vocals!

Your attention to detail and understanding the artist and the person is almost incomprehensible. Simply said, you get it! As you well know, there is so much more in this rabbit hole to explore. For recommendations, there are so many videos from the past when she was younger and then there are several originals. Originals I would recommend are shield, what is life, and a million miles. Live performances always preferred. You said you already have some ideas going forward so I am sure you know what you are doing. Kudos guys for a job more than well done. You feel very emotional listening to Angelina singing if you don't pause. She comes at you in waves. When you stopped to comment, you got an emotional break. Watch it again start to finish and you will likely tear up. Angelina is a story teller that will touch your soul. Angelina said "“Even being so young, I’ve always known what I wanted”. Angelina says she never gets nervous performing. I believe this because she believes she is doing exactly what she was always intended. “I found my purpose, it is to be a musician.” Thank you for sharing your reaction.

You can tell Angelina loves to sing and embody the music, so many of todays singers want to belt everything, you do not have to be loud to get people to listen, you just have to show you understand the feeling behind the song and truly feel it. You are right our human body runs on vibration and sound waves so when someone has the ability to sing pure, no auto tune or manipulation our body feels it to our soul.
@johnvasi
@johnvasi 2 жыл бұрын
The issue is not that she sang it flawlessly. It’s that this is her arrangement, her musicality, and her incredible skill at interpreting lyrics better than anyone I’ve ever heard. And also, when Angelina covers a song, she never tries to sing it better than the original singer. Her version always pays respect to the original singer, but she doesn’t compete because her arrangements and her interpretations are uniquely hers. As you watch more, you’ll see the reason why many of us think she’s the best we’ve ever heard. You compared her to Michael Jackson. He was spectacular, but he was the King of Pop. Angelina sings jazz, blues, pop, soul, ballads, r&b, and even country and a little gospel. She covers them with incredible authenticity, you always get her unique arrangement-and she kills them all. Here’s a little advice: don’t start saying that what you heard is your favorite Angelina song because she will stun you with the next one, and the next one. Want to see Angelina do something no one else could even attempt? Watch her demolish another genre with her jazzy cover of Billie Jean.

I am 65 today and I have not listened to Queen until like 5 years ago! Boy was I enlightened as to Freddy Mercury's greatness and I think the Live Aide performance of this song was most wonderful and Freddy was not even 100% on that day, as he was told he could do damage to his voice and advised not to perform that day by his Dr.! There is nobody that I have ever heard of that had the range that Freddy had! He was a genius. I have been following Angelina her whole life and she is indeed like a breath of fresh air. No competition in my book of her talent and I enjoy all her interpretations of songs. Plus it's adorable that she always sings barefooted! Don't know if she still does though. I have also come to the conclusion that AGT is nothing but a big joke! It would be nice to see Angelina on the Voice. She is so young and has a spectacular future ahead of her.

The most amazing, spot-on moment of ANY REACTION I've seen came when you asked the most important question that I believe any of Angelina's angels can ask themselves. You asked, "This is her purpose. No doubt about it. What is my purpose . . . What is your purpose?" It's been said many times "We need more people like Angelina in this world!" Well, let's not wait for them to magically appear. We angels can actually be those people by taking the time to identify *_our purposes_* in life and living them to the fullest. That, I feel, is Angelina's greatest gift to us.

I was one of those young people hearing this for the first time, but you have to understand, the 70s were FILLED with great music, so it wasn't all that shocking. A large percent of that music is still played today, or bands are doing other versions of songs from back then. Music from 50 years ago that have stood the test of time, and are STILL played today in may forms. I have a vinyl album collection of over 500 albums, and 95% of it is from the mid 60s and 70s. Until I heard Angelina Jordan, I didn't think I would hear anyone come close to the music from back then, but this young lady catches my interest with everything she sings, and has introduced me to songs I would have otherwise never known.

@@seankiesling2054 I didn't say anybody asks that. I said asking it is 'appropriate'. And just for fun, I have seen multiple covers of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' subtitled 'Angelina Jordan version'. So there's that. Yes, Freddie was great. But he's dead now. 😎

when she sang I don't wanna die, I felt this is a little girl, what does she know about life and sufferings, but she sounded so honest , so real here that it seems like she sang from her truth. Amazing. Flawless rendition.

Ken When she performed on AGT, she wasn't a little girl; she was close to 6 feet. Her maternal grandfather was in the hospital dying (he passed away a few weeks later). She lost her friend Avicii to suicide and her paternal grandfather, who she dearly loved, the year before. I think that's plenty of suffering for this 13 year old.

THANK YOU AGAIN!!! SPECTACULAR REACTION. I was 20 when this came out and it blew me away. When I went to the record store to buy the album they play this video on a little monitor and the video was something like I had never seen before. A completely new way to promote an artist and this was one of the first music videos if not the first long before MTV played videos 24/7 on TV. QUEEN is one of the greatest rock bands of all time and you do know some of their songs you just don't realize that they are the original artists. Many radio stations refused to play this because it was too long. This is what was referred to as rock/opera. I have seen many professional vocal coaches shed tears with Angelina's rendition and I think it's because this is such an iconic song that many have tried and failed to do justice to and now finally someone (Angelina) delivered a performance that would make Freddie proud. It's absolutely stunning. I've seen this probably 100 times and still get chills when she reaches for that high note. Angelina is the only artist I have ever been so attached to and care so much to see succeed. You guys, Jared and Jordan, are by far the best reactors on the net. Educational, inspiring, entertaining and honest.

FYI, Angelina wrote this arrangement. She has been writing the arrangements to the covers she sings since she was seven years old. Angelina wrote four songs and recorded them by the time she was twelve years old. She speaks four languages, plays four instruments and she was the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and had it published. She was nine years old when she wrote her book. Angelina has toured Europe, sung for dignitaries and royalty. She has been singing in front of large crowds since she was seven years old. She auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent at seven years old. She had just turned eight years old when she won the competition. She has a catalogue of over 150 cover and original songs. She signed with Republic Records in Novemeber, 2020. Angelina is a divine gift to mankind and, yes, she can change the world. She is a bona fide musical genius. Every one of Angelina’s devoted angels, (That’s what she calls her fans) will tell you that she profoundly changed our lives for the better from the very first time we heard her sing. Angelina is a living legend and there is no other young female artist like her. Angelina is unique and she travels in her own lane. She just turned sixteen years old on January 10, 2022. She is the the best female vocalist I have ever heard. Period.

She starts singing and the whole studio goes silent immediately pulled into her performance mesmerized. The jury is too close for the onset of emotion, it washes over them and they sit there slack jawed in awe. Joni Mitchell sang ‘Love is touching souls, surely you touched mine’ and so it goes for art as well and with her singing Angelina touches your soul. As you will go through her widely and wildly varying catalogue of performances, one thing you can be sure of and one thing only, is that you will be surprised at every turn. Quincy Jones called her the biggest talent since MJ. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride! You will see and find out that she is a true, genuine, kind, caring person. She performs barefoot to draw awareness for poor children (longer story there) and has participated in many good cause events.

Hi Jared and Jordan, I am really enjoying your Angelina reactions. This song in particular for a 13 year old was amazing but I've recently heard the 15 year old Angelina with a grammy award winning band behind, in her online Christmas concert, blow my mind. People have likened her to Mozart but he couldn't sing like her. In my really humble opinion she is The Greatest Of All Time, if you were to look at her original compositions, Oslo, What Is Life, Shield, Million Miles and 7th Heaven she has changed my world. Because of Angelina my world is a calmer place and I'm so pleased and thankful that I have had the pleasure of her being in my life and bringing joy to my heart everyday. By the way, most of my family and friends don't get it but I know they will. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Bohemian Rhapsody is an iconic work, which enchants the world to this day. Freddy Mercury is considered "The highest quality voice" of all time, where scholars describe the incredible technical qualities observed in the timbre, power, resonance and unique harmonic characteristics! Angelina came to write her artistic history through all her natural qualifications. We believe that she really can change the world. She is a gift to humanity.

I discovered Angelina right after her first performance on NGT. I have watched every performance she has done since then hundreds of times. I doubt if I have missed more than a handful of reactions over the years. That's thousands!!! Where does this reaction rank in all those reactions? In the top five? Oh, yes! In fact #ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the way you guys "do your homework" before! Because most of her covers have been songs from the second half of the 20th century (50s - late 90s), many (maybe most) young people do not seem to "get it"; they don't seem to understand what a huge and wonderful musical talent she is. If it is not made by electronics they just do not understand it, nor appreciate raw vocal talent. My hope is that eventually young people will learn that a voice like Angelina's that has not been autotuned can be something not only beautiful, but something that can bring out feelings and emotions that one did not even know existed; something that can help one understand life, love, respect, happiness, kindness, sadness, and desires!

Her arrangement !!!!! Amazing ! Just Angelina and a guitar then a piano accompaniment ! A capella to start in front of a large audience and she nailed the notes right on pitch !!! Unbelievable ! She had the whole audience and the judges in the palm of her hands from the first note ! Angelina is so fearless , sincere , passionate in her performance ! It was so organic , raw and natural ! I can't phathom a 13 year old doing that with such a mature voice ! It's a masterpiece !! Queen even gave her accolades for this unique but brilliant rendition ! Can't get better than that ! You guys as always were fabulous ! Great reaction with Queen's original performance to start it all off ! Thank you so much and keep posting our barefoot princess ! Ps: enjoy the journey !! 👍🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️
