FYI - - The remaining members of Queen liked this performance so much that they posted it on their official Twitter account saying " Wow , what a rendition " and even gave her permission to copyright her version of the song !!! Angelina also did a tribute to Freddie Mercury in which she performed " The Show Must Go On " . The thing about Angelina is that there is no one song that she could have chosen where she could display all of her vocal skills. Instead she gave us a totally unexpected unique arrangement of an iconic piece that won everybody's heart.

Thank you for your reaction. The music industry has known her for years. Her mother was interviewed, when Angelina was 9-10 years old, and she said that they had turned down 90% of all offers, because she should have a normal childhood and education. At 12 years old Quincy Jones invited her to open his 85th birthday show in 02 Arena, London. Angelina sang "Fly me to the moon". Her manager and uncle Michael Astar said that AGT wanted her so much that they accepted that she could perform without any contractual ties. She is well known and that is why she could sign contract with Republic Records as only 14 years old.

Like if singing should be the next Olympics of singers. Miss Jordan is a true authentic singer.. Angelina is very unique in ways that people are always learning. First recording was at the age of 6 speaks 5 languages and Norways youngest published author. She designed her outfit using her mentor and grandmother's art as the pattern.

Angelina is the most true authentic self, I have ever seen. Because Angelina only uses vocal techniques that are needed for a particular song, she is the Goldie Locks of vocal techniques, never too much, never too little, but always just right for that song. That's why it takes hearing 30-40 of her songs across many styles & 8 or 9 different genre of music, to see what she can do with her voice. I've never seen so much versatility in a vocalist & such a magical ability to emote the lyrics so you feel every word she sings. This was a great reaction/analysis, so I liked & subscriber for more Angelina reactions. This was pre-recorded in Oct 2019 when she was 13, so I recommend you see her at 15/16. Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (145+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice! Angelina can create a different "vibe" and drag any song into it! She never "shows off"! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. When she performed Bohemian Rhapsody on her Christmas Show on the 23rd of 21 it was unbelievable, the power, the control, the perfect pitch. The reaction on the face of Shelly Berg, the 3-time Grammy winner piano player, was priceless and it was evident he was astonished by her talent. Mr. Berg stated afterward that in all his years he had never encountered a talent like AJ.

You absolutely got Angelina. It is, indeed, "something about the vibe." Two things sets Angelina apart, and you nailed both of them. First of all that tone. It's blissful. She is just gifted with a very unique vocal apparatus that gives that unique sound. Then there is "the vibe." This is Angelina's musicality. Exquisite taste while painting with a broad palette of colors. Never will you hear her over sing a piece. She always take her extraordinary gifts and only applies them in service to the piece of music that she is performing. Exactly as it should be, as you pointed out. First of all, this was a "Champions" edition, which means she was competing against winners and finalists of Got Talent franchises from around the world, and yet she received the golden buzzer among that competition. The praise didn't stop there. Immediately after the broadcast, surviving members of the band Queen tweeted out their approval. They subsequently gave Angelina copyrights to her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. I think you can count on the fingers of one finger how many times recognition like that has been received by a contestant in one of these talent shows. In short, you witnessed a 2:09 masterpiece.

Angelina found her natural talent and passion at such an early age. Many people never learn what their natural talent is. Angelina is a prodigy but I don't know of another vocal prodigy who was so advanced at such a young age. She also creates her own arrangements and has done so seemingly from birth. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for my all time favorite musical artist. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. Angelina plays the piano and guitar and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. A 9 years old, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina has concerts scheduled in Norway in July 2022. Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always dreamt and believed she would be. There is a lot beautiful techniques being used. What I'd like to point out is the overall performance. As soon as she starts singing the audience goes silent and the jury is spell bound as well. You see many people being emotionally touched by this performance. To me both show that this is an amazing performance. She is very skilled and has a rich vocal toolbox and she uses it to give us the best performance and not per se to impress. She made this arrangement herself and part of it is fitting it to required the three minute format. Queen liked it so much that they gave her license to release this specific version. It really doesn't matter what you pick next. I've seen everything she has done, and most multiple times. And there are NO bad performances. But to get a perspective on her career, you might want to start at the beginning. But I vaguely recall, firstly, how bowled over he was when he discovered that Angelina could hit the high notes, and secondly, that he later admitted that he had erred in his claim of her vocal range. The jury voted only one singer into the top 5, a novelty act. The others were more or less dance acts. In case of a public vote like in regular AGT, Angelina probably would have won. So careful with generalisations, what works as a winning strategy can very much depend on the show setup.

To add a little bit more to Andy Schnell's nice bio of Angelina, a few more tidbits of interest about Angelina. This is Part 2. Angelina’s manager from the beginning is her uncle Michael Astar. From article of Music Norway interview we learn that Michael was raised in Japan and music was always his passion. After his family moved to Norway, Michael became a hip-hop DJ. As a 16-year old he was a DJ at 21+ night clubs in Oslo, Norway, getting the gigs because he looked older and no one asked his age before being hired. After getting tired of being a DJ, Michael started a music management company in 2013, and 3 months later, with no clients yet, Angelina signed-up to try out for Norway’s Got Talent. Angelina’s first audition when 7-years old was a cover of Billie Holiday’s song “Gloomy Sunday” that went viral when it got uploaded to KZbin. Then Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent, had other viral KZbins, performed on Norway, US and other TV shows and her career started to take off. Eventually she had over 1 billion views of her performances on KZbin and Facebook before Angelina’s appearances on the American’s Got Talent - The Champions show. Her performances there further accelerated her career. At this point, Angelina asked her uncle Michael if it was possible for her to move to the US to pursue her music dreams. Michael says this was a tough call, and he asked himself questions like; how on earth are you going to pull this off? What about a VISA? What about finances? Are you willing to sell everything you have and own, and also get a loan to risk everything? Michael related that “These were questions I had to ask myself, several times a day. Having recently become a father and with COVID-19, time has become even busier and more crazy than usual. “There is a lot of stuff happening with Angelina, and it requires daily briefings with a lot of people.” America’s Got Talent had always been interested in bringing Angelina to the show, but with their normal contract, artists are being locked into a label, management, and other things for many years. Michael says that it did not matter if you get exposure or not, it was out of the question to give away that many rights. This kind of patience eventually paid off. I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.” After, Angelina’s success on America’s Got Talent, she eventually signed with Republic Records in August 2020 where Angelina was told she was Republic’s highest priority new artist. She also lived for a time in the Middle East where she met the young girl who inspired her to perform barefoot after Angelina gave the girl her shoes and the girl said she would pray for Angelina. Angelina's mother is Norwegian Sara Astar, daughter of Iranian artist and poet Mery Zamani and a Japanese father. Her father is Gerry Christian Slattman, a petroleum engineer from Sweden. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School. It is an integrated primary, middle and high school with around 550 pupils. The school is considered one of the most prestigious schools in Norway. The arts play a major role in the Waldorf's curriculum and the activities surrounding the school. The Oslo Waldorf School includes a professionally equipped theater hall. Due to its long waiting lists, pupils are often enrolled shortly after birth to attend the school. Angelina participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received piano lessons and possibly some very basic vocal lessons. No attempt was made to change her style as that is not a good thing to do at any age unless one is hurting one's voice. In addition to singing and playing the piano, she plays violin, guitar and flute, and also paints. Unlike the US, the Norwegian system of extracurricular schools of music and performing arts (SMPA) is mandated by law. These schools are designed to reach all children and youth aged 6 to 15 in Norway. The law governing it states that each municipality, "alone or in collaboration with other municipalities, shall provide courses in music and other cultural activities for children and young people, organized in association with the school system and local cultural life" (see Norwegian Education Act 1998, § 13-6). It is unclear, but the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program may be associated with The Norwegian Academy of Music which is also located in the west end of Oslo where the Oslo Waldorf School is located. It is the largest music academy in Norway and is considered to have the best music education. Throughout the years the Academy has educated many of Norway's most renowned musicians. It educates musicians within music genres of folk, church, classical and, quite notably, a string of successful performers within the jazz realm. Given Angelina's love of jazz, it makes perfect sense that she would have wanted to attend an after-school program at such a prestigious and world renown place as the Norwegian Academy of Music. Unfortunately, it is not totally clear whether the Academy also ran/is the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program that Angelina attended. Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to jazz at an early age. Mery is a somewhat famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her husband, who was Japanese, during her master degree's training in Japan. In August 2020, Angelina signed a record deal with Republic Records, one of the labels of the world’s largest music company, Universal Music Group (UMG). You can do the following to see that today Angelina is around 6' tall give or take an inch. (1) Angelina published on May 11, 2019, a picture of herself standing next to Avril Lavigne and opposite David Foster. Avril is 5' 2" and David is 5' 10". That means that Angelina is quite tall, at the age of 13-years old. Depending upon the shoes worn, Angelina is easily 5' 10". Doing a search for "May 11, 2019 Angelina Jordan Avril Lavigne David Foster" should bring up a link to the shared photo. (2) Angelina published on February 17, 2020, a red carpet AGT - Champions picture of herself with Heidi Klum. Heidi is 5' 9 1/2". As can plainly be seen, both are wearing high heels with Heidi's much taller than Angelina's. Yet Angelina can be seen to be roughly 2" taller than Heidi. That means that Angelina is easily 5' 11". Doing a search for "February 17, 2020 Angelina Jordan Heidi Klum red carpet" should bring up a link to the shared photo. There are also some recently published cell phone videos of Angelina hanging out with Heidi Klum that shows Angelina to be taller than Heidi. Assuming that Sydney was also wearing shoes similar in height to Angelina's shoes, the frozen image places Angelina's height at roughly 6" taller than Sydney's height. Ergo, Angelina is 6' give or take an inch. Remember from the 7th Heaven video that Angelina is tall and skinny. This makes it easier to sit in a shopping cart. Angelina is sitting in a typical grocery cart. Angelina's back is at a slight backward angle while her left leg looks to be creating an isosceles triangle (i.e., two sides of the triangle are of the same length). The front height of the shopping cart is about 16" which puts her lower and upper legs at roughly 19” each or a leg length of about 38”. The rear angled cart back is about 33" from top of front to top of handlebar and would be the hypotenuse of a right triangle when one draws a parallel straight line from the front to the back of the shopping cart. Doing this makes the rear of the cart about 22” vertical height. The rear handlebar is about mid-neck of Angelina and it is about 11” to the top of Angelina’s head. Angelina is sitting at a slight backward angle meaning that if she was sitting straight-up, this probably adds about 1” vertical height. Now, adding up the numbers (38” + 22” + 11” + 1” = 72” or 6’) and this places Angelina's height at the same 7th Heaven video height of roughly 6' give or take an inch. ----------------------------------------------------------- Where does Angelina's deep voice come from? How does she do some of the amazing things we hear from her voice? Note that Angelina has a long neck due to her height (estimated as 6’ give or take an inch) and may have a larger larynx (i.e., voice box) than the average woman. (1) Angelina is probably a contralto with the possibility of singing at a higher level. A contralto is what the lowest female singing voice is called. This vocal range is rare. The range typically falls between the F below middle C (F3 in scientific pitch notation) to the second F above middle C (F5), although, at the extremes, some voices can reach the D below middle C (D3) or the second B♭ above middle C (B♭5). Since Angelina has made so many covers of many types of songs, it may be possible to determine her effective singing range, or the range she is willing to comfortably sing within. This would require analyzing the notes she sang across the spectrum of songs she has sung and published. (2) So where does Angelina's beautiful voice come from? Let us go over how a voice is produced per a summary of tutorials provided by the National Center for Voice and Speech. The NCVS conducts research, educates vocologists, disseminates information about voice and speech, and provides referral services to help people around the world enjoy healthy and effective vocal communications. The NCVS has a nice tutorial on voice production based upon their book "Principles of Voice Production" which goes into scientific detail that they said should include knowledge of basic acoustics and some familiarity of college physics. (3) The human voice is classified into various types, based on pitch, timbre, and various other factors that influence our perception of someone's voice, or how that voice can be used. It appears that one critical aspect of voice production has to do with one's fundamental frequency (i.e., Fo). Baby cries have a Fo of around 500 Hz (roughly corresponding to the note B4). Child speech ranges from 250-400 Hz (notes B3 to G4). Adult females tend to speak at around 200 Hz on average (about G3), and adult males around 125 Hz (or B2). (4) As one would probably assume, one's larynx is quite important to voice production. The larynx is the hollow muscular organ forming an air passage to the lungs and holding the vocal cords in humans and other mammals. It sits at the back of the throat, above the windpipe (trachea). The larynx is supported by rings of cartilage, which in men (and occasionally a woman) form the bump of the Adam's apple. The vocal cords are stretchy bands of tissue attached to the inside of the larynx. Air passing in and out of the lungs is pushed through these cords. Everyone's larynx grows during puberty, but a girl's larynx doesn't grow as much as a boy's does. In fact, a man's larynx grows roughly 40% larger (taller and in length) than does a woman's larynx. This larger larynx gives men deeper voices than women. But there is a tad more involved than just the size of one's larynx. (5) Note that the 40% size difference of the larynx between men and women does not account for the roughly 60% difference in production of the Fo. Thus, there must be something else. The key variable is the length of the part of the vocal folds within the larynx that is in vibration, which is called the effective vocal fold length. The difference here between men and women is about 60% and we have some indication of where the pitch difference comes from. (6) Along with pitch, another variable used to classify voices is their quality, or timbre. Timbre is related to the length of the vocal tract. Different vocalists have different vocal tract lengths. To a limited degree singers can control the tract length by raising or lowering the larynx. A longer tract results in a 'darker'-sounding voice, while shorter tracts will make the voice sound 'brighter'. Note that the length of the vocal tract is largely determined by nature. Some of us are born with necks that are swan-like, while others are quite short. (7) So, it appears that Angelina has been gifted with height and both a longer neck and possibly a larger larynx than the average woman. She thus has lower pitch to be able to produce a lower Fo, plus has a longer vocal track to produce a 'darker'-sounding voice. Add to this the fantastic breath control and a wonderful sense of musicality, and one has a singing prodigy. We all are fortunate to be alive to witness such a rare combination that, in my opinion, is producing a new singing genius.

Some "inside baseball" I'd say. I skimmed your post looking for one particular feature. (Maybe I missed it.) Angelina has a wide face that I believe is also significant to the warm, round, deep tone she has. That adds space where she produces sound. I don't think a woman has to be six feet tall to be a contralto. Angelina also had a distinctively lower tone even in her youngest years. (I Put A Spell On You) How does the theory cover that?

A scientific theoretical hypothesis (i.e., theory) is an idea based on existing evidence, and that can be tested. Speculation is not necessarily based on anything but beliefs, and thus may not be provable. Naturally, height alone does not guarantee a lower vocal tone. It is a combination of physical attributes, ability to control various muscles, and techniques used to cause sound. As a youngster, Angelina used a common technique to gain deeper tonal qualities by concentrating her voice towards the back of her throat. She also may have had bigger key physical attributes, such as her larynx, for her age. Plus, she may have developed better control of muscles and vocal techniques for her age. Given that Angelina said she started singing at age 1 1/2 years and loved to sing all the time, this would tend to strengthen her vocal muscles given her almost 7 years of singing by the time Angelina had won 2014 Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8-years old. By singing jazz, Angelina learned singing by tackling what many people consider the hardest music genre (even more than classical). Within jazz songs we have changing keys and do not have the same chord changes and patterns constantly occurring. The singer must become more of a musician and not just anyone who can carry a tune. She was exercising her vocal muscles in all kinds of ways, gaining more and more control over them. Angelina still cannot defy physics as can be seen at the end of one of her most famous early performances, on The View in 2014 when Angelina was 8-years old and sung "Fly Me To The Moon" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHOqfoRvgN1sn6s). On the last note her voice cracks in the middle. A voice crack typically occurs when laryngeal muscles suddenly stretch, shorten, or tighten open and negatively affect the vocal folds. The note at the end of the song was lower after she had gone higher and gave more volume. This would have required Angelina's vocal folds to be pushed close together and tightened followed by the vocal folds quickly pulled apart and loosened. Angelina had a brief cracking of her voice meaning this change did not smoothly occur. Any number of things could have caused this to happen including movement of the cricothyroid muscle, dehydration (i.e., the heat in the room from the lights and people could have slightly dehydrated her given her very small frame at this age), or even slight fatigue (again not unusual for someone so young and of a slight frame). Let us discuss some of the key physical attributes for speaking, and by extension, singing. Obviously, the throat is paramount to singing. The throat (consisting of the pharynx and larynx) is a ring-like muscular tube that acts as the passageway for air, food, and liquids. Physiologically the throat is located behind the nose and mouth. It connects the mouth (oral cavity) and nose to the breathing passages (consisting of the lungs plus the trachea or, colloquially, the windpipe) and the esophagus (i.e., colloquially, the "eating tube") where food and liquids go down. Additionally, the throat helps in forming speech, and by extension, singing. The throat consists of these main components: ---- Tonsils and adenoids that are made up of lymph tissue Tonsils are located at the back and sides of the mouth and adenoids are located behind the nose. They both help to fight infections, but removal will not necessarily reduce one's ability to fight infections because many other tissues also help fight infections. ---- Pharynx This is the muscle-lined space that connects the nose and mouth to the larynx and esophagus. ---- Larynx Colloquially known as the voice box. The larynx is a cylindrical grouping of cartilages, muscles and soft tissue that contains the vocal cords. The larynx is the upper opening into the trachea (i.e., colloquially, the windpipe), that is the passageway to the lungs. ---- Epiglottis This is a flap of soft tissue and cartilage located just above the vocal cords. The epiglottis folds down over the vocal cords to help prevent food and irritants from entering the lungs. ---- Subglottic space This is the space immediately below the vocal cords. The subglottic space is the narrowest part of the throat/upper airway. Ergo, having a longer neck (as Angelina appears to have) and a larger larynx (which Angelina may have), and you say, a wider face (which is most likely true given that Angelina's face appears squarer which would tend to make it wider), gives Angelina physical attributes that can help her make fantastic vocal sounds, including those uniquely distinguishable as hers. Looking at one's voice, it has a certain pitch range, that can be measured in notes. Some people have claimed that Angelina's voice has a solid two octave range that may be up to four octaves. I leave it to others to measure Angelina's perceived range using a plethora of songs she has performed. This pitch range is divided into low and high registers. What distinguishes the registers of a vocal range is their differences in pitch, sound quality and tonal color (also known as timbre, that is the quality given to a sound by its overtones which creates the resonance by which the ear recognizes and identifies a voice). ---- Lower register One's chest voice. The sound one produces partially vibrates through your upper chest and gives it a deeper tone color. ---- Higher register One's head voice. This is sometimes called one's falsetto voice. The sound one produces partially vibrates through one's skull and gives it a brighter tone color. Each register is separated by “breaks” that can be just a single note, or several. Typically, these "bridge" note(s), are the most difficult notes in one's range to sing well. However, fortunately, one's vocal cords are a muscle that can be stretched and strengthened. One can extending one's overall range by stretching one's vocal cords, and, similarly, one can strengthen one's "breaks" via exercising, and training. One can seamlessly sing some of the same note(s) in the middle of one's range in both registers providing smooth transitions. In my opinion, Angelina’s transitions between registers are exquisite. With Angelina, we also have fantastic breath control. Hers is very consistent, that is extremely hard for most singers to accomplish. Angelina also looks to have fantastic control of her vocal muscles and where she generates her sounds from. It appears she can move her larynx to add depth and tones to her sound. Angelina also appears to be cool as a cucumber when singing, that allows incredible control over all aspects of her singing whether singing softly a cappella (i.e., beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody) all the way up to full belting (i.e., also in Bohemian Rhapsody). And her musicality is off the charts. The subtle changes to a song. The beautiful, and logical, runs. The emphases on certain vowels and consonants. The change in pronunciations in words that enhances the performance. The breaks in how a phrase is sung. And so on. And as Angelina is growing older, her vocal muscles continue to grow and strengthen. Her techniques further improving as Angelina experiments. One can easily hear the changes in her voice by listening to older and newer performances of the same song. The hints of a child's voice grew to that of a young adult and in a few years should further grow into a mature adult's voice, in my opinion, unparalleled by any other voice singing today.

Not dismissing what you're saying, in my experience, I've heard small people with big and low voices and a great range as well as big people with small voices. I truly believe it's a combination of having the natural gift, passion, dedication and practice and also what environment they grew up in. To add a little bit more to Andy Schnell's nice bio of Angelina, a few more tidbits of interest about Angelina. This is Part 4. ---- “I'm Still Holding Out For You” (In 2016, few days before turning 11-years old, Angelina recorded demo cover of this Baby FuzZ’s song. Many people consider this cover among Angelina’s best: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqebnp15nZqcn6c) Baby FuzZ is Brandon Lowry and is also known by stage name Sterling Fox. He has written and produced songs for others including Lana Del Ray, Britney Spears, Avicii, Adam Lambert and Madonna. Angelina’s people did not allow release of song because they thought it to be wrong stylistic choice for her. Angelina’s people fearing copyright infringement issues blocked release of “leaked” version of song several years later. Baby FuzZ had never heard her demo until 2018 and really liked it and allowed it to stay up on KZbin. Back story about song itself is published on Internet if dig around. Many people describe song differently than Baby FuzZ does. ---- Baby FuzZ says: The bulk of “I’m Still Holding Out For You” was done at a songwriting camp in Oslo, Norway. I wrote the song with some super talented cowriters Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen. I was there for the world class by:Larm music festival in 2016. Mostly I was just writing for other artists, and unfortunately found myself writing some tunes that fell a bit short. By the end of the week, I was growing frustrated with my effort, but luckily the frustration kind of bubbled up and resulted in this song on the last day of writing. During an off day, I was able to go to the Oslo Viking Ship Museum. It houses an amazing set of original fully assembled Viking boats from 900 AD. They have these kind of Nightmare Before Christmas looking adornments on the bows that are incredible. I was really inspired by the beauty and the curves on these boats. I honestly believe the ships inspired some of the writing on “I’m Still Holding Out For You”. The song is simple and stark, yet has a few ornate, artistic moments that remind me of those ships. So yeah, this song had been completed in 2016 and the idea was to try to give it to a big artist. I had sent it to a myriad of people over the last few years, with no luck. I think it was the music industry’s way of telling me I need to start putting out my own songs. Finally, early in 2018, I kind of came to the realization that the demo was pretty strong with my vocal. At the point, I went back in on the production and kind of took it over the finish line. Now I’m super happy nobody else took it, because it feels 100% honest to what I was feeling at that time. A fun line in the second verse deals with impulsive swiping of potential Tinder matches. It’s not even to find someone to match with. It’s just a cyclical behavior of rejecting others in an attempt to affirm an old flame that will never work. It’s actually the whole idea of the song… I’m just delusionally holding out in some monk-like vow of abstinence and loyalty that is incredibly self-destructive. ---- People ask who "leaked" Angelina Jordan demo of “I'm Still Holding Out For You”. It is not officially known although either Ronny Janssen, Aksel Carlson and/or Frida Amundsen, the co-writers of the song, could arguably be prime candidates. Here is why. Does Angelina have any connection with the co-writers of the song? She sure does! Great song by Angelina is “Shield” that she co-wrote. And whom did Angelina co-write “Shield” with? No other than Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen and Frida Amundsen! Hmmm. Angelina is from Oslo, as is three Norwegian songwriters. They had to have met somewhere for “Shield” to be written and produced. It appears, “Shield” was produced at Ronny Janssen's recording studio in Oslo as he has a production credit. At minimum, one could also presume that at least one meeting had to have occurred when Angelina did demo of “I'm Still Holding Out For You”, probably also at Ronny Janssen's recording studio in Oslo which would seem to be likely place Angelina would have sung to backing track. So, it is probable that Ronny Janssen had master recording of Angelina's demo and probably made multiple samples for Angelina, and the other two songwriters. Additionally, Ronny Janssen is listed with production credits for three versions of “I'm Still Holding Out For You” by Baby FuzZ in 2018 and 2019. Thus, one can presume it was probably Ronny Janssen who played Angelina's demo version to Baby FuzZ in 2018. Baby FuzZ was said to like it, and it was OK to leave "leaked" demo on KZbin. NOTE: “Shield” was self-released when Angelina was 12-years old, or in 2018, roughly in same timeframe that Baby FuzZ released his version of “I'm Still Holding Out For You” in 2018. The self-release of “Shield” included a performance on Scandinavian talk show “Skavlan” that usually had 2.5 to 3 million viewers per show: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooLXhpWMgMdjrNU ---- SIDE NOTE: At this same time of 2016 to 2018, Angelina was also introduced to disk jockeys Avicii (Swedish) and Alan Walker (Norwegian - at over 11.5 billion views and a daily average of almost 3 million views, he is number one Norwegian artist on KZbin), two music stars with worldwide followings. As Angelina fans know, she was invited at 10 years old to sing Alan Walker’s smash hit “Faded” (over 3 billion views), and sing hit “Sing Me To Sleep” (over 600 million views), on Alan's “Heading Home” worldwide live streaming event that he held in Bergen, Norway on December 22, 2016 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZbMYYGercRpqNk). She was becoming "connected" into that world, and hence have inter-connections that would logically follow.
