All that has ever been said is that one religion or denomination of a particular religion couldn't be used to base our laws upon. Doing that takes my rights to religious freedom away from me. Our Constitution says freedom ( OF religion ), which means to choose how you practice the type , and stuff of your choice. It's why it wasn't allowed in schools. It's the parents and pastors jobs to teach religion, not schools. The schools are to teach children the things needed for obtaining a job. Teaching math,science, health, reading, spelling etc.,so the students can become drs,lawyers, business leaders. Much of their work involves micromanaging states rather than directly improving educational outcomes. Without a clear, compelling justification for this level of spending-especially for tasks that aren’t already handled locally-it’s hard to argue for the Department’s necessity. This appears to be yet another bloated, redundant government agency consuming significant resources without clear accountability or results. It’s worth questioning if those resources could be better utilized elsewhere.

I agree with him. Math reading, writing, history and literature are the most vital subjects in a public school system. Every religion has a different interpretation of the Bible and it cannot be universally taught. Even if one takes a biblical approach to education 2 Timothy 2:15 study to show thyself as Workman to God. Not only applies to the Bible. It applies to all areas. I'll put it this way. The people who wrote books of the Bible were not stupid. In fact they had advanced mathematic, reading and writing skills. Even looking at the archeology they found that they built eco friendly cities, water and sewer control systems.

I'm tired of the left vs right narrative. I'm tired of fear mongering, biased, elitist shows and journalism. Please don't let these paid employees shape your perspective and views on the world. And definitely don't let this comment shape your view. In my personal opinion, children should be our number one focus, out of human instinct and not budgetary issues. Teachers shouldn't seek to be teachers for a paycheck. We should protect our children's innocence, so that they may make the change that impacts all for the better. Invest in them not only money, but more importantly, time. Stop belittling them and start treating them as equals. Don't press your ideals on them and let them create new ones. A parents only job is to shelter and feed children to make sure they are healthy and alive. Yet the Federal Government has become so construed that they talk about education and our future as humans and a nation as the focus, but don't include children into the conversation. Our future. When we continue to teach the next generation our biases, our norms, how can we expect improvement and an intellectual revolution if the next generation's ability to imagine original thought is being stifled by a framework created by the past. Most problems can be nipped in the bud if we make sure the next generation has all the tools to find themselves, for the better of humanity. Then we'll see the issues previous generations thought were big are actually small, relative to the beautiful gift of being alive. Love to all humans, no matter who you are!
