Favorite QD-OLED, is hard, I would pit it between this or PG32UCDM. The AORUS has more future proofing so depending on next gen GPUs, the AORUS might be the better choice

Just got it the other day haven’t had much time to play. But as expected it’s beautiful.. I have windows on the side of the room and reflections hasn’t been an issue. Feared it be worse based on what I heard.. the purple magenta in light rooms.. again not something I’m noticing. Only down side to my setup not a fan of headset using so might need a soundbar

I'm looking to do a massive upgrade overhaul and are currently waiting for the 5000 nvidia series graphic card. (I'm going to buy the best specs for everything) If you were in my position would u take this or ASUS PG32UDCM monitor?

PG32UCDM is amazing, had mine since April.

Its hard to say since we don't know what specs the 5000 series would have for DP 2.1. Hopefully they implement the full 80Gbps, but since you can still use any other DP 1.4 4K OLED with DSC, I think choosing the PG32UCDM is still a great option. Can't go wrong with either one, but if you think you'll want the ability to daisy chain or connecting more than 2 monitors to your GPU, then FO32U2P will be your best option

@@FIREWOLFTECH the UCDM overall is simply the better monitor, the only issue is it will use DSC always and that ugly chin, honestly it doesn't matter which one you get, Aorus has the better design but no DSC switch so if your on Nvidia you can use features like DLDSR untill they fix their DSC issues, on the UCDM you turn of DSC and use all the Nvidia features, with the sacrifice of being locked to 4k120.

i ordered a CLUB3D DisplayPortTM 2.1 Bi-Directional VESA DP80 for the 5090 arrives, because the dp 2.1 cable is just to short and i prefer my pc on the ground, right now im using HDMI 2.1 does it really matter in terms of visual smoothness latency , so far its running great paired with my 4090 13900k build.

Hello i have a question: i bought the Monitor but out of nowhere it switches to Warm Temperature even though i have it on cool temperature, can i fix the problem my self or is it a Factory problem with the monitor?

Possible monitor firmware, but also check to see if you have any color changing settings in windows or mac; you may have a setting that switches to warm depending on time (i.e Night Light)

@ it’s every time I’m playing and when I’m done playing the screen goes dark for like a second and it changes to warm even tho it’s in cool, so what I do is put it on Natural them back to cool, the windows settings are the same as the monitor.

I bought the non 2.1 version but had to return the monitor, the screen scratches even with the slightest touch from a microfibre cloth it’s virtually impossible to clean without causing masses of thin scratches on the screen and believe me am super careful with my tech.

You just need a microfiber cloth designed for cleaning glasses. All of my QD-OLED monitors look like the day they came out of the box.

@@andrewmorris3479 this was a microfibre cloth designed for lens and qd oled screens , used distilled water also, the coating on these gigabyte screens are a joke, at least in my case. The slight touch that leaves a finger print is near impossible to clean without causing micro scratching. I advise you to check your screen with a lamp light and I can confidently guarantee you will notice micro scratches

Hes not using HDMI. I believe you get 12 bit option with HDMI but it’s bugged for me on my Samsung screen.

I was using DisplayPort, and since the 4090 is limited to DP 1.4, the max is 10-bit unless I use HDMI 2.1 for 12 bpc

AMD GPUs have DP 2.1, but it’s UHBR13 and not 20 so it still has to implement DSC.

The specs specify UHBR 20 on both mini DisplayPort 2.1 and Full-Size DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR 20 is rated for 80Gbps bandwidth so it SHOULD get full DP 2.1. The only issue is that there aren't any GPUs that have that specification and I seriously doubt GIGABYTE would lie about it. Hopefully next gen GPUs like 50-series have UHBR20 (DP80)
