Enjoyed your video. In 1978 I visited Salisbury for the first time. I went on my bicycle from The Hague to the Hook, crossed the North Sea by boat and then cycling again from Harwich to Salisbury. I fell in love with the cathedral and its amazing choir/Father Willis organ). Went again the next year to visit the Southern Cathedrals Festival and then...again and again and again. Last time: July 2018, shortly after the Novichok-attack. The impact it had on the community silenced me, but oh boy, they made the best of it. Salisbury adopted an art project and the city turned into 'the City of Doves' with an amazing display of tens-of-thousands of paper fold doves in the cathedral and every single shop window had been turned into a work of art. An amazing experience. Just hoping it won't take too long before I can visit again. (BTW: last week a Monopoly version of Salisbury has been launched. Just ordered a copy!).

@@HermanHitstheRoad Our number of new cases seem to be going down, it's the survivability rate vs. deaths after being diagnosed that has just skyrocketed, and it's all age groups. About three weeks ago it hit the news, that 87 infants in the Corpus Christi, TX area had been diagnosed with Covid, and no one could explain why. Most of the public schools have delayed opening until after the Labor Day national holiday which is 07 Sep 20, the last summer holiday of the year. I expect for the number of cases to go up again after Labor Day. Businesses are learning to adapt though, my local grocery store has an online ordering system where you pay and schedule you date and time for pickup. When I arrive for pickup, I park in the designated pickup area, text the store, a worker shows up with my cart order and loads my groceries in my trunk. The store then emails me my receipt, and I never make any personal contact with the store workers. You have probably encounter something similar as well. I'm very fortunate, I retired mid-March shortly before the first shut down. So my stress level has been reduce a great deal. I have been researching the concept of RV Sharing. Here in America full time RV is becoming very popular. If you go online to check on available Class C RV's, its slim to none. Lifestyle changes are clearly adapting to the Covid, and our ways of coping with the Pandemic. Stay Safe and God Bless.

Yeah the price of RVs over here has gone through the roof as people don't want to go abroad for their holidays.

Hi Sammy, we lock them up when we're not using them and the batteries are locked to the bikes too. Why do you ask?

Thank you for this educational video, esp. some commentary at Old Sarum. Salisbury Cathedral has not changed much since I visited it twice in the past century. I.e. it has been safe so far! Sitting couple: Great square-headed male and triangular-headed female! What does the artist want to tell every couple?? :-) Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.

Alex, I hadn't even thought of going up in the tower. I've just had a look and there is a tower tour which runs all year round except that covid has stopped that for now. It's very popular too. £13 isnt too bad either. Maybe next time. Thanks for putting the thought into my head 👍👍
