Racism, colourism, and an idea based on colonial stereotypes does exist. Growing up in the UK in the 70s, when my family first got here all races that were not white stuck together. There's no point in believing in any sort of god if you willingly defy them by not following the rules required as part of the religion anyway. So if you follow a religion, and the religion says something like "only marry people from the same religion", then it only makes sense for people to follow that. I get that people marry people from other religions and have done that in the past too, but if their religion says they're not supposed to, they were technically wrong for doing so. There's no such thing as "partially (insert religion here)". It's either you're following that religion, or you're following your own will.

Instead of seeing me for who I was they looked at me for what I was. Not until I decided I was done with dating outside my race i found someone who was like myself who Had the same views same similar experiences and was the same race did I finally have success and am now happier than ever. No, they are still being racist, but it's the power certain kinds of racism has that is the issue. White surpemacy was a big issue for a long time so its effects are still felt, that is why people talk about it. That some brown people don't want their boy dating me, it doesn't hurt me on a systemic level because this is not an issue I have faced in my life, because self conscious or internalizing that I am less than because of my race which a lot of black people do I never felt, not for a second nor do any white person I know. I would find it hard if there was a language barrier and a massive cultural difference. It’s not about how the person looks, or their race, it’s more about how difficult it would be when it comes to communicating or the way you’re living your life together. I have a sexual/romantic preference for black women. I am attracted to dark skin, frizzy/ethnic hair, big lips, wide bridged noses, curves and brown eyes. For me i’ve had a few negative experiences dating outside my culture enough to write it off. I believe i’d feel safer with the same culture, less judgement and explanation about things like tradition. I’ve had guys outside my culture just not get it if I were to say I can’t do this cos of xyz, there has been a lack of cultural awareness bordering on delusion. And having a unconscious bias for their own background and pointing out my ethnic features again and again. It’s been a learning curve but at least I can say i’ve tried it, gave other cultures a chance and improved my own cultural sensitivity.

(Nick) is not judgmental and very open. He's sweet and kind. I love him, he's just an idiot. My question is this: was (Marcus) judging me based on what my father thinks and believes? (I'm a white female mixed with Irish, German, Dutch and Blackfoot) (Marcus was Black and Irish.) I'm not that kind of person. I don't care what color your skin is or what your sexuality is. I don't judge so I don't like that kind of toxicity around me. I know what it's like to be judged on skin color, or even my zodiac sign.
