Arkansas State Police attempt to stop a Orange Dodge Dart - Something smells intoxicating

Trooper's Narrative:
On Thursday, February 8, 2024, while stationary on Hickory Street, I noticed a bright orange Dodge Dart run the red light at the intersection of Hickory Street and East 7th Street, in Texarkana. I activated my camera to narrate what I observed as I got behind the orange Dodge Dart. The operator of the vehicle then ran the second red light adjacent to the EZ Mart located on Dr.Martin Luther King Road. I activated my emergency lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop, but Dodge Dart continued to travel,making a left turn onto Beech Street, near East 7th Street. The operator of the orange Dodge Dart continued to drive recklessly running the stop sign on 6th Street before making a left turn onto Pecan Road.
The operator then came to a complete stop on East 6th Street and Pecan Road in front of the First Presbyterian Church. I began to give the operator orders to exit the vehicle; however, the operator would not comply. The operator, later identified as Zakaria Reader, could be seen reaching for an unknown item near the center console or passenger seat. Ms. Reader finally complied and was placed into custody without further incident. While searching the vehicle, a strong odor of an intoxicant was emitting from within the vehicle.
After further investigation, the right front seat had an opening where a clear baggie of marijuana was located. Ms. Reader was transported to Miller County Detention Center on misdemeanor charges.
